His Excellency. Dominic Chilcott

Dear Mr. Dominic Chilcott:
Your undiplomatic blatant disregard for your host country with your
uncanny statement alluding that the political aspiration for a Tamil
state was legitimate, was a case of interfering in her internal affairs,
and it is troubling. And the Government of Sri Lanka through her Foreign
Secretary Dr. Palitha Kohona too has told you so. With your next posting
to Washington which is south of Canada’s border, all what I can
intimate to you is, take a deep breath and just Chill-out Dominic before
you get over to North America.
To try and wriggle out of it by way of an explanation saying that what
you meant was that political aspirations could be expressed through
legitimate methods, just as much as the aspiration for independence
for Yorkshire, was feeble and wasn’t good enough.
I am sure your Grammar School English teacher explained to you the
difference in metaphoric semantics, allusion and ambiguity. What you
said was nothing obscure as you spoke with your brain in your heart
with a minimum of folderol showing sympathy towards the Tamil separatist
Eelam cause. In case you think that you were fooling me and the others
who have been irritated by your statement as it was meant to be a funny
Ha! Ha!! story, then you were certainly pulling our wrong legs as we
all had our Christmas jingle bells strapped to our right ankles.
You obviously knew what you were saying, and Dominic, with your sympathies
you have now exposed yourself to be vulnerable bait for the Tamil Tiger
Mafia in North America. If they had tried attempting to bribe US State
Department officials with one million American bucks to remove their
organization, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) from the State
Department’s list of designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations,
don’t be surprised if you will be the next looking at a wad of
crisp American dollar notes as an incentive to be their international
spokesperson for the Tamil cause in the United States. You better watch
out, as we will be watching you in case you have a spill of heart with
greed to provide your muffled endorsement around the US for an Eelam.
Welcome to North America Dominic, but be careful and watch your step,
as promoting the mythical Eelam for a wad of American dollars, with
the pompous pretext that you are now an expert in Sri Lankan ethnic
politics having served in Sri Lanka for a couple of years or so, will
be a perfect recipe to cultivate enemies among the Sri Lankan community
in North America. I really don’t think you need that, as you are
now out of the Sri Lankan desk in diplomacy. And as I had advised you
earlier, just Chill-Out Dominic, before you get over to the States as
the second in command at your Mission in Washington.
