AK Kannan not deported

Sir:

‘Alleged Tamil leader gets reprieve in deportation. Judge says risk of torture needs to be assessed’, you said. This is wacky stuff that only could happen in Canada.

If he was a gang leader in Canada, why should he be tortured in Sri Lanka? I am stymied.

If he was indeed an affiliate of the Tamil Tigers and an extortionist to fill the coffers of the Tamil Tiger war chest to buy weapons to kill innocent people for their separatist cause, then it is another story.

According to RCMP and CSIS reports AK Kannan was indeed an affiliate of the Tamil Tigers. If Canada had the audacity and felt morally right to strip the Canadian citizenships and expel the 80 year old Nazi camp guards who sent Jews for extermination during World War II, then what is the difficulty to deport AK Kannan who was an affiliate of the Tamil Tigers, who collected Canadian dollars in the millions to buy weapons to kill innocent civilians in the thousands by exploding bombs and massacring them when they were fast a sleep in their village huts?

There is something wrong with our judiciary the way they think. To be concerned of an individual of possible torture, who had violated the ‘right to life’ of thousands is wacky.

No wonder Canada is considered a safe haven for terrorists and according to RCMP and CISIS reports there are 8,000 hardcore Tamil Tiger terrorists roaming the streets of Canada.
