Dear Mr Chilcott,
Terrorism, damage to Sri Lanka and monumental Injustice to Sri Lanka
I am referring to your. Dudley Senanayake Memorial Lecture, on “the
new diplomacy for the new century,” You correctly identified that
events in one country, in our ever shrinking world has an impact on
other countries. So all of us have to become global citizens and try
to be fair to fellow citizens. There are unfortunately massive difference
in quality of life in countries on earth, and this problem has to be
addressed, so that it is a fairer world for all of us. Massive gap between
the rich and the poor also need to be addressed, to reduce the pressure
to immigrate.
As for Sri Lanka, things got worse, when Mr Prabakaran, a racist, discovered
that there is a gravy train up for grabs in UK. Mr Prabakaran realised,
it was not difficult to hoodwink and dupe naive and perhaps even racist
officials, who assumed that Sri Lankans are less civilised than UK citizens.
Sri Lankans may be poor but not less civilised. Mr Prabakaran struck
gold, when he devised the bogus refugee scam, that exported bogus refugees
to UK and the bogus refugees contributed to his terrorist effort, creating
a cycle of terrorism and bogus refugees, which kept on filling his coffers.
It is the gravy train in UK and the relative ease of duping officials
that attract bogus refugees.
HR organisations and UN also got into his side having a share of the
‘cake’ he created. With the corruption and the naivety of
HR organisations, it would have been relatively easy to get UN and HR
organisations to his side, and get them to harass Sri Lanka. .
Unfortunately for Sri Lanka, not only did they have to face terrorism,
they also had to face criticism from staff in UN and HR organisations
that did nothing practical to stop terrorism. The action of UN and HR
organisations, being critical of Sri Lanka only helped LTTE terrorists
and is delaying freeing the country from terrorism.
Media reports indicate there are large number of illegal immigrants
in UK, even as much as half a million [14].. The main reason is the
lax home office controls on immigrants. If UK authorities, allowed bogus
refugees into UK on the basis of lies, deception, fraud and canards,
then UK must take full responsibility for the action of its officials.
Further UK also must take full responsibility for the fund raising activities
in UK by bogus refugees, LTTE fronts etc that fund terrorism in Sri
Lanka.
If we look at history, USA had to drop nuclear bombs in Japan, killing
60000 in an instant and Allied forces fire bombed Dresden to stop Hitler.
If Hitler or the Japanese were not stopped, then the war would have
carried on longer and more lives would have been lost It is absolutely
essential to recognise that LTTE is a racist cult organisation and they
will not stop terrorism. Governments need to physically stop them terrorising
by neutralising them.
I shall be most grateful if you could kindly give me an opportunity
to communicate with you. You need to bring down the barriers for communication.
Please remove your blind folds and ear plugs, and just listen to me
for once, instead of preaching.
You also need to discard your preconceptions and prejudices, just for
once and look at the evidence. I understand that it may be difficult
to discard the preconceptions, as you may have been exposed to disinformation
by LTTE. I will for my part attempt to present the evidence in a clear
manner as possible.
LTTE was created and armed by India. Some say to destabilise Sri Lanka.
In 1983, there was public hostility towards Tamils, as a result of killing
of 13 soldiers by LTTE. Govt. of Sri Lanka apologised to the Tamils
and paid compensation to the victims. Tamils used this single incident
to gain favours, many times over, and has obtained maximum mileage from
this single incident. No such incidents ever occurred after 1983. For
over 2000 years, Tamil Chieftains from South India have invaded Sri
Lanka several times, and indeed temporarily occupied parts of the country
[15].
The Head office of LTTE was based in London. UK nurtured LTTE and allowed
it to grow from strength to strength. .LTTE was able to create a massive
network of Tamil organisations [1] , including a global network, from
its office in London.UK allowed uncontrolled influx of bogus Tamil refugees.
Tamils used lies, deception and fraud in their claim for refugee status.
Bogus refugees duped officials with false "discrimination"
, ‘”suppression, “ and “repression “ slogans
to gain refugee status..
Published reports indicate 95% of refugees are not genuine [10]. Even
5 Americans have applied for refugee status [10]. I believe in the case
of Sri Lanka, nearly 100 % refugees are not genuine and are bogus refugees.
. David Roberts, of the Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND),
has said he did not have the "faintest idea" how many illegal
immigrants there were in the UK (2006) [12]. Further e media reports
indicated that illegal immigrants have been given security clearance
to work in the security industry [13]. It has been reported that some
home office sites have been guarded by illegal immigrants. The evidence
indicates clearly, utter lack of control by home office.It is the lax
system at the home office that allowed a large number of bogus refugees,
entry into UK and then get citizenship. Such opportunities have been
denied to Sinhalese, and has caused a massive economic advantage for
the Tamils. It is estimated that there are 250000 Tamil bogus refugees,
majority of whom may have got citizenship by now. Remember Sri Lanka’s
much respected Foreign minister was Tamil. Sri Lanka also had Tamil
Chief of Police and Tamil Chief of Navy.
Potential refugees, supported by the LTTE network, built nonexistent
grievances on situations that never existed and incidents that never
happened, to become refugees.
Generally, the situation faced by Tamils was no different to what was
faced by Sinhalese and others i.e. harsh living conditions.
Until well after independence, Tamils dominated in Business and in Govt.
jobs, far exceeding their ethnic proportion. One of the factors for
Tamil domination may be the favouritism shown to Tamils by the British.
When bogus Tamil refugees arrived in UK, they bypassed Tamil Nadu, which
is the home land of Tamils. In the Tamil language , Tamil Nadu, actually
mean home Land for Tamils. Tamil Nadu, is a short distance from Sri
Lanka, in South India. . As they bypassed Tamil Nadu, these Tamils are
not genuine refugees but bogus refugees who wanted to migrate for economic
reasons.. They are clearly economic refugees trying to get a better
quality life. Absolutely nothing wrong with trying to get better quality
life, but the same opportunity should have been given to Sinhalese and
others. Only the Tamil people who could afford the air fare and had
the right contacts would actually arrive in UK, as it is a daunting
task. So this picture of Tamils leaving Sri Lanka, due to repression
is incorrect, as usually the middle class Tamils or the Rich Tamils,
who could afford the air fare and had the right contacts arrived in
UK.
Once in UK, there are Tamil networks, dominated by LTTE, that provide
all the information and training as to how to hoodwink officials, how
to get legal aid, how to get free housing, free education, free medical
treatment, free vocational training and other benefits. In deed it is
all these free things and the opportunity to work and have a better
quality life that attracted Tamils to UK. Remember Tamils bypassed Tamil
Nadu, which is their home land and. arrived in UK. Clearly, there must
be a reason to come to UK, if they bypassed the Tamil home land.
Tamil welfare organisations in UK get Govt. and local authority grants.
Further free language and vocational training is available for Tamil
refugees. This is another incentive for bogus refugees. All these benefits
make UK a heaven compared to Sri Lanka.. All the benefits UK give to
bogus refugees create a magnetic effect to attract bogus refugees. So
please don’t blame Sri Lanka. UK created the magnet to attract
bogus refugees. It is also extremely unfair. for UK to favour Tamils,
and heavily discriminate against the Sinhalese. This favouritism to
Tamils, creates massive economic imbalance in favour of Tamils.
Bogus refugees in UK and the businesses they create, fund LTTE, that
fuel terrorism and war in Sri Lanka. So UK has a direct link to terrorism
and instability in Sri Lanka. So please don’t blame Sri Lanka.
The fault lies with UK for allowing an uncontrolled influx of bogus
refugees to UK, turning a blind eye for fund raising in UK that fuel
terrorism and HR abuses. Uncontrolled influx of bogus refugees also
produced violence and gang culture in London. The violence by Tamil
gangs in London, is similar nature to that displayed by LTTE in Sri
Lanka, but on a smaller scale.
So please do the morally correct thing, apologise to the Sinhalese and
Sri Lanka and pay compensation to the victims and Sri Lanka. Please
see (2), GOSL apologised to the Tamils and paid compensation. GOSL had
principles and a correct ethical stand. Will UK Govt. have the same
principles?
Clearly Sinhalese and Sri Lanka are the victims of terrorism, funded
by bogus refugees. UK turned a blind eye for fund raising by bogus refugees
and turned a blind eye to LTTE/LTTE front activities.
UK nurtured and allowed LTTE to grow into a monster.. So please do the
decent thing, take the responsibility for the actions of the ‘
baby’, LTTE you nurtured, housed, indirectly funded and educated.
Due to the blind eye turned by UK and other countries LTTE has grown
into a criminal business unit, making a profit in excess of 200 million
dollars, involving various charities and fronts [1]. LTTE has always
been ahead of authorities, using different fronts changing names rapidly
to evade detection.
LTTE sympathisers are now having political voice, as bogus refugees
have been given citizenship. It is estimated that 250000 bogus Tamil
refugees are in UK. By now most of them may have acquired citizenship
Again this is favouritism to Tamils and discrimination against Sinhalese,
causing instability, making the Sinhalese voiceless and Tamils prominent
and access to UK politicians. This action of giving citizenship to Tamils
have given Tamils unfair economic advantage, unfair political advantage,
unfair educational opportunities and cause massive imbalance power in
every sense. UK created this problem and should take full responsibility
for it.
Press reports indicated that large number of uncontrolled immigration
has been allowed, and the home office does not even know the number
of illegal immigrants in UK. It has been reported in the media, that
some home office premises were guarded by illegal immigrants. So please
don’t blame Sri Lanka for the incompetence, negligence or naivety
of home office officials.
A recent program on current affairs indicated that people come to UK,
because of poverty in their home countries and the economic opportunities
provided by UK. The program dealt with African illegal immigrants, but
the same reason apply for Tamils from Sri Lanka. I firmly believe that,
economic benefit is the main reason why Tamils came and still come to
UK. They however fabricate canards and lie to gain refugee status. Now
UK, by favouring Tamils, are severely discriminating against the Sinhalese.
The Sinhalese would like to live in UK, but the opportunities given
to Tamils have been denied to the Sinhalese, which is very clear racial
discrimination practiced by UK authorities. Once in UK, Tamils take
part in credit card fraud, gang warfare, knifing people to death and
terrorizing the streets of London [11] along with other nefarious activities,
trying to scrape up as much money as they can and then send this money
to the their "freedom fighters" to kill the Sinhala Buddhists,
to keep the war going, thus they can stay in the West and get their
citizenship, as well as enabling more of them to emigrate to the West
in continuous cycle.
18.. Discrimination of Sinhalese is monumental and the damage done to
Sri Lanka, due to money raised in UK for terrorism, is Gigantic. UK
authorities should be held fully responsible for the above. Compensation
should be paid by UK for victims of terrorism, as according to law,
the employer is held responsible for the mistakes of employees. Home
office officials have carried out acts of omissions or have been negligent
and the UK Govt. is their employer. This point has to be made clearly
to UK govt, that ultimately they are responsible for the death, destruction
in Sri Lanka for the reasons given above and they should not wash their
hands off their responsibility.
19. UK Govt should not try to cunningly, shift the blame to Sri Lanka,
when the fault is clearly theirs. UK Govt. allowed bogus refugees into
UK, gave them residency, housed them, gave them free education training
and other benefits, gave them free legal aid, gave them grants for networking,
allowed LTTE to carry out fund raising in UK, allowed propaganda for
terrorism to be carried out, turned a blind eye for fund raising and
propaganda activities of LTTE and LTTE fronts. Clearly UK Govt. should
be responsible for the terrorist actions of LTTE.
20. In a nutshell, UK is responsible, proportionately, for the whole
mess in Sri Lanka. They should compensate the victims and Sri Lanka
in an appropriate manner.
21 The Sri Lanka terrorists, the LTTE, are controlled to a large extent,
supported and nourished by the World Tamil Movement (WTM) an international
organization that is similar to Al Qaeda, which spans Sri Lanka, Tamil
Nadu and many other countries. The WTM is administered by the World
Tamil Coordinating Committee (WTCC). The LTTE is the violent arm of
the WTM [15]. How does LTTE get money to buy weapons, maintain a fighting
force of 15000 fighters, maintain a network of offices worldwide for
fundraising and propaganda, purchase a fleet of over 10 ships, have
an operating profit in excess of 200 million dollars. ?
Answer: Not from Sri Lanka, please see reference [1],[15].
22 Events in UK, for example, giving residential status to bogus refugees
have caused damage on a mega scale to Sri Lanka. Terrorist funds from
UK has caused massive loss of life, injury and death to many Sri Lankas
and also damaged the economy seriously. I am glad that you too saw that
events in one country affects another.
So UK should pay up for the damages done to Sri Lanka, by terrorist
activities, funded from UK. I repeat, UK has favoured Tamils and discriminated
on a monumental scale..
23. So please take responsibility for UK’s conduct and pay up
for the damages done to Sri Lanka.
24. How can damage to Sri Lanka be mitigated ?
There are several possibilities:
a) Compensate victims and pay damages to Sri Lanka .
b) Stop fund raising activities of LTTE and fronts with immediate effect.
c) Allow an equal number of Sinhalese to UK.
d) Any one caught fund raising or involved in terror related activities
to be deported. (UK has deported undesirables before ).
