Open Letter to H.E Mahinda Rajapaksa President of Sri-Lanka Regarding Maheswaran's Ship

Maheswaran's Ship

I wish to bring to your kind notice that Mr. T.Maheswaran, the Tamil parliamentarian representing the United National Party revealed to the government authorities, that he purchased the ship from the Danish owners at a price of US $36 million, ( Rs. 3800,000,000 ) which is a mind-boggling number.

In that instance, the Inland Revenue Department, should do a thorough investigation and determine how this money was amassed and they should file a case to recover the Income Tax due, from him, if he has not revealed it.

Further, I presume that those who purchase even a Ship has to pay custom duty, just like, when buying a car. If so he should be levied "Custom duty " of at least 5 %, which amounts to US $ 1.8 Million. !!!

Latest information I have gathered, is that he is giving a totally different version, to hoodwink the government and the general public, by stating that he purhased the ship for only $ One Million, as this episode is becoming too "Hot" for him to handle. This seems to be his latest Joke. !!!

Still, He should be forced to explain the sources of his funding, as this money is definitely from Tamil Tiger Terrorists Coffers amassed through extortion, drug trafficking , "International" Human smuggling, and other nefarious activities.

Undoubtedly, Mr. Maheswaran will be unable provide plausible answers for his treacherous activities and therefore he should be prosecuted and proper sentence given, by Supreme court.

As a passing hilarious remark, if he still insist that he purchased this ship for only $ one million, then the government should immediately purchase Five Ships at $ One Million each, for transportation of goods.
