Western Democracies wearing their Democratic Masks are terrorising Sri Lanka

By Charles S.Perera

The International Community will never learn to respect the independence of a government of a sovereign state of developing Nations. They will try to humiliate the Heads of States letting them suffer ignominy in numerous ways. The President Mahinda Rajapakse's visit to Iran was not appreciated by the American Administration. The President is being made to pay for this intransigence by the USA and the International Community in unexpected ways. The USA administration will find collaborators within the International Community to give effect to their arrangements of vengeance.

The selection of Mano Ganeshan for the award of the 'Global Freedom Defender' by the government of USA, seems strange. It is more so strange as it comes in the wake of President Mahinda Rajapakse's visit to Iran. There were many angry voices raised by different media on the President Mahinda Rajapakse's visit to England on his way from Japan to be present as the chief guest of British Royal Naval Collage passing out ceremony of 2007 at Dartmouth, England, where his son was participating in the assign out ceremony. The President had been invited for the occasion by the Commodore Martin Alabaster of Royal Navy.

The Air Lanka humiliated the President by its refusal to accept the President and his entourage, in its flight to Sri Lanka. Peter Hill the Chief Executive Officer of Sri Lanka Airlines had undoubtedly taken that decision to deliberately snub the President, as perhaps he had been taken into the plot that had been hatched by USA Administration.

In the light of these, Chilcott's speech in favour of the LTTE terrorists, and Blake's speech requiring the government to expedite power sharing with minority communities, all seem to be parts of a well set out plan.

There was also a news item where it was reported that the United States Government corporation designed to work with some of the poorest countries in the world, has voted to `deselect` Sri Lanka as a country eligible for MCC funding next year.

Further more Reuters carried a report of interference by the Presidents Office into a comission probing civil war right abuses and murders, not to mention the several reports, by the BBC, apparently false of the Sri Lanka High Commissioner who has been called by the Home Office with regard to issue of Diplomatic passports to Karuna.

There is apparently a campaign of humiliation, vilification, and slander, against the President and the Government spearheaded by the USA State Department, in calloboration with the International Community. The Government should be vigilant and not give into these activities of the great Western Democracies, who behind their democratic masks are worst terrorists than those who had taken arms against sovereign states.

There are far too many Westerners, in Sri Lanka who will naturally work against our country, if there is a collective effort by the USA and the International community to work against the President and the Government. The government should therefore reduce the number of Westerners taking residence in Sri Lanka and curb the number of IINGOs.

The USA and the International Community will not help a Government following a Socialist form of Government in Sri Lanka, and will do all that is possible to prop up a government of their own Puppet- like Ranil Wickramasinghe. We should take the opportunity to build greater ties with China, and Russia, so that we can have their support in case of undue interference in to the internal affairs of Sri Lanka by the USA and the International Community.
