TNA MP'S BROTHER SHOT DEAD

S. Thiyagarajah (54) the brother of the Batticaloa parliamentarian S. Jeyanathamoorthy has been shot dead by some armed men in Oaddamaavadi
the Valachchenai police said.
The proLTTE news website Tamil Net identified the assassins as 'armed men' while the Ministry of Defense website said he was shot dead by 'armed LTTE operatives.'
The deceased was an employee at the Valaichchenai Paper factory in the Eastern Province.
Last year his brother parliamentarian and his family narrowly escaped Rocket Propelled Grenade attack.
Sources said that the father of two was shot about two miles West of Valaichchenai August 20 about 6.30 p.m.
The body was lying at the Valaichchenia hospital.
