Interpreting Gods divine laws, one should not be blasphemous to God.

By Charles Perera

Whether it is the God of the Bible , the God of the Koran or the God of the Talmud, it is the same God, the God of love. The men and women are the children of God, therefore we are his beloved children. Like the love of the parents to their children, the God’s love is the same to all. The parents love all their children equally well without preference. So should be the God. If the children do wrong, they are punished by the parents as human beings, to correct them and make them good persons . The God should be the same. He may punish us to correct us and that punishment is divine, with divine love. The God’s love cannot be cruel, because cruelty is a human failing, therefore the God’s love is greater and kinder.

We as Children of God should not act contrary to what god stands for, which is divine Love. We cannot be cruel, because cruelty is going against God’s love. Then beheading of gods children even for a wrong they have done is going against God. Cutting a hand or decapitating , as punishments decided by a man cannot be obeying God to carry out his divine law, because divine law is love, cruelty is base, animal and inhuman.

If the God is permanent he sees the changing world and the generation after generation of his children growing to meet the challenges of modernity. The God did not want the world to remain primitive, savage and uncivilised. But God must have seen the world growing and he may have wanted to change the laws in the Koran, Talmud and the Bible, which were written to discipline the primitive man the man of the Koran, the Bible, and the Talmud. But there is no one to write them down on paper, as the God of the Islam did by prompting Mohamed to put them down on the dried goat skins in the dessert?

Therefore, the law of the Koran has to be interpreted to meet the evolving world with its social , economic and political changes, keeping in mind the Gods love for all his children without being cruel to his children. What is written down is for the old order of the world, the god did not find a “Mohammed” to have the God’s divine law for the man of the modern world to be written down. If we are cruel in meeting out punishment to God’s children we are going against God.

In France death penalty is abolished now, it has even been included as such in the French constitution. That is understanding the gods respect to life , for the life of His children. Many countries have abolished death penalty. But others who still have death penalty written into their Law, carries out those death penalties in a more human, civilised manner, so that even if that is not what God wanted them to do, at least the God may pardon them for their trespasses.

Therefore, the beheading of the four men in Saudi Arabia is not carrying out Gods will, but carrying out man’s cruelty towards man. And exhibiting them in public like the Romans did during their savage times, is not in keeping with modern times. That shows that the man has not changed . The man interprets the divine laws, against God’s proclaimed love. The God wants man to change but the man’s mind is primitive, savage and cruel. Man’s such behaviour is blasphemous to God.
