To All Patriotic Sri Lankans!

Perera Senaratna ~ Sinhala Patriots Without Borders ~ For LankaWeb June 24th 2007

It has been noticed that since the Govt started its militaryattacks on the LTTE, there has been a spate of spate of messages through various electronic media with the sole objective of criticizing and defaming the Govt of Mahinda Rajapakse. These are attributable according to many analysts, to the LTTE and their supportives who are circulating them as misinformation and reaching the international community the world over. They are a consternation amongst the local populace also!

Is is a well known fact both internationally and nationally that the LTTE have over decades waged a spurious yet devastating insurrection against Sovereign Sri Lanka in their attempt to create a mono ethnic state albeit in a losing cause which the LTTE once believed in rather ludicrous fashion as accomplishable but something given the circumstances in Sri Lanka todaythey will never accomplish as already their so called territories are being dismantled systematically and their cadre fleeing from the advancing Armed Forces! They are even being disowned by the more sensible Tamils within Sri Lanka as a directionless group of wasters who are more than likely to be wasted away soon!
The following is an email which has every appearance as one originated by the LTTE in June 2007. There are curiosities about why the originator's mailing /email address is not given in order to establish Bona Fides? The name Wijetilleke is rarely spelt as Wijethilaka.

Where in Sri Lanka are there companies called "No Limit" and "Trust Lanka"? The Nation has to be vary of highly defamatory emails such as this and disregard them as meaningless trash with the single objective of discrediting the Government of Sri Lanka.

Subject: FW: 400 Million Ransoms Paid - Sri Lankan Victims
400 million ransoms paid by abducted businessmen

(LeN- 2007 June 07, 8.00 pm) Over 400 million rupees have been
collected as ransom from around 6 Muslim businessmen who were abducted from
Colombo during the period of a month.

Here is a breakdown of the sums each of the abducted Muslim
businessman has paid.

100 million rupees from M. Rafeek, the owner of Expo Lanka

50 million from Mubarak chairman of Nolimit

100 million from Fousal Hameed the Chairman of the Hameedias

60 million from RIshak Hajjiar owner of Asian Hardware

30 million from M. Yousuf chairman of Trust Lanka

60 million from Vasu the owner of Devi Jewellers

Speaking to the media former deputy mayor of the Colombo municipal
council Asath Salley said the statement made by government defense
spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella that no Muslim businessman
except for the owner of Trust Lanka has been abducted is baseless, as
several of them were abducted and freed after paying massive sums of
ransoms. He said they are not divulging any information regarding the
matter as they fear for their lives.

Salley revealed the incident where ransom was collected from the Trust
Lanka owner saying that he was first sent a fax asking to meet a group
of foreign delegates who were in Sri Lanka to assign persons to
recruit employees to be sent to the Middle East countries. He was asked to come
to a hotel in Kandy saying that the situation in Colombo was not too
conducive.

According to Salley several Muslim businessmen were held back at the
hotel and ransoms demanded from them. But the abductors could not
collect ransom from most of them owing to various reasons. However the owner
of Trust Lanka was held back in the Hotel and was demanded 60 million rupees
for his release. However after bargaining the sum was reduced to 22.5
million rupees. The abductors had asked the businessman to get his
people to bring the money in a lorry and given certain numbers of high
ranking police and army officials in case they are stopped at Check
points. But Nisthar was not released immediately as his abduction was
published in the electronic media and the balance amount making up the 30 million
was also collected from Nisthar?s family.

He was then release after 1 1/2 days and his vehicle was found by
police from the Gelioya area. Salley says Nisthar has not even been
questioned regarding the incident.

All these operations are done under Mahinda Chinthana because
government doesn't have money to run the government. Since Mahinda need to cover
the Mihin Air loans he has created a new chinthana with JVP's new
help. This is the time to wake up and open your eyes. Future will be very
dark, country is going to hell. Mahinda is feeding him self and his
family members with our money.
But we get nothing from this government. The working People have to
pay taxes from their salary and taxes for each and everything they use in
their ordinary life. Are we getting something from government for
these taxes??? Answer is no. This is really unacceptable.

Open your eyes think twice....... This is the time........ Don't be
toooooo late

Pass this message and open the eyes of Sri Lankan people!!!!!! Be a
Sri Lankan." ~~ END OF ITEM

AND TO THOSE WHO HAVE READ THIS IT HAS TO BE EMPHASIZED THAT THIS IS A FALSE TESATAMENT WHICH HAS NO TANGIBLE EVIDENCE NOR REAL CREDIBILITIES TO BACK ANY OF ITS CONTENTS AS IS THE CASE ALWAYS WHEN THE LTTE DECIDE TO PROPAGATE FALSE INFORMATION TOWARDS THEIR OWN OBJECTIVES.
