MANO GANESHAN SAYS TAMIL AND MUSLIM LEADERS SHOULD LEAVE THE GOVERNMENT AND JOIN RANIL AND MANGALA

Mano Ganeshan, parliamentarian of the Western Province People’s Front who is sympathetic to the cause of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) has appealed to the Tamil and Muslim leaders of the Mahinda Rajapaksa government to resign from the government and join hands with the new United National Party and Sri Lanka Freedom Party-People’s Wing coalition for their own protection.

“I appeal to the Up Country People’s Front leader Periyasamy Chandrasekeran, Ceylon Workers Congress leader Arumugam Thondaman, and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Rauff Hakeem to join hands with the Ranil Wickremesinghe led UNP and Mangala Samaraweera led SLFP People’s Wing coalition, said Mano Ganeshan.

He said the present government cannot provide protection to the Tamil speaking people and the only leaders who could do it are Ranil and Mangala.
Mano Ganeshan participated in the Hyde Park rally of the UNP and SLFP-M and was seen seated with Sripathy Suriyaarachchi on the platform.
Ganeshan’s statement was broadcast over the Sinhala service of the BBC, Sandeshaya.
