Reporters without Borders & Reporters without Clothes

Sisira Pereira, Panadura

The RSF has commented against the SLAF bombing of the voice of tigers into smithereens. It has said,

("Voice of Tigers is a propaganda radio operated by the LTTE rebels, but the rules of war are clear - military bombardment and bombing must be limited to strictly military targets," the press freedom organisation said. "The government in Colombo uses the Geneva Conventions to condemn LTTE crimes but forgets the conventions when it bombs what is a civilian installation and therefore protected by the conventions.")

Are these reporters without borders without clothes too?

If not, why are they trying to hoodwink the masses saying that the GOSL is breaking Geneva conventions of war by attacking an exclusive arm of the world's number one terrorist organization? Is voice of the tigers not the military propaganda arm of the LTTE? Don't the LTTE exclusively use those radio frequencies to spread terrorist propaganda to brainwash and attract children and adults to go blast themselves in search of mythical separate state? Don't they use that broadcasting facility to distort the truth and hide it from the civilians they keep under their jackboots?

And who are they celebrating in the Wanni? Dead terrorists, suicide bombers, murderers, who came and blew thousands of innocent civilians at the command of their leader, Pirapaharan. And whose so-called speech were they scheduled to air through this radio facility in Killinochchi on the 27th ? It's Pirapaharan's, the dreaded terrorist leader who have not stopped a minute to consider peace but has been going on for three decades bringing doom for his own people and the whole country. And was he going to preach peace in his speech, stopping all the crimes against humanity he has been planning ever since he founded the LTTE?

Doesn't that make the voice of the tigers, a military target?

And just what do these people without borders/cloths think that the voice of the tigers really does? Playing baila songs to the Wanni civilians to dance to?

And if not for anything else, Sri Lanka being a single nation, should the GOSL allow a terrorist organization like the LTTE to run an illegal radio station dedicated to prop up the LTTE's terrorist agenda? And doesn't that singularly make the voice of the tigers an illegal broadcasting facility used by terrorists? And does it not warrant a legitimate government of Sri Lanka going all out for the facility's total destruction?

What do these people who consider themselves without borders think the current GOSL should do instead? Give the LTTE terrorists more communication equipment, like the Ranil W. government did, to carry on with their animalistic acts in the wanni? Is that what these reporters without borders suggesting?

May be it is time these media jokers started realizing that their borderless thinking should end where there slip begins to show.
