Well, Many Moons have passed and a lot has happened in "The Paradise"too.

Our Brothers in the USA, the very first inhabitants of this blessed land "The Noble American Indian", would say "Many Moons have passed since Jerald Owens last wrote to the Lankaweb".

First, a glowing tribute to the gallant sons in uniform of this little gem of an Island in the Indian Ocean for successfully taking on, effectively, the road to defeating one of the most ruthless and cunning blood thirsty terrorist groups on earth.

Well, credit must also be given to the unwavering leadership of a Great Leader, the current President of Sri Lanka for allowing the key leaders of the Army, Navy, Air force and the Special Task Force to do their job without any interference. A true world class great leader indeed in a small package but bubbling with vigor and energy!

Coming from my neck of the woods in this planet, being a citizen of the giant USA, I almost had tears in my eyes (and I am not a sentimental man), when I followed the story of Sri Lanka's Navy who with only a flotilla of numerous craft and tenders (crafts that have been virtually handed down to Sri Lanka's navy by the richer navies in the world), planned and executed in total secrecy a very daring and a highly successful mission (like President Bush would say) "taking the fight to the enemy", and to return to the Paradise while the rest of the Sri Lankans slept. These true heroes of Sri Lanka are second to none in the world - and do not take my words lightly fellas, these are 'Men With Grit and Guts'.

Having served in one of the most powerful navies myself "Many Moons Ago", I know what this means and this is no small feat.

To sneak upon a ruthless enemy, in high seas, in a vast but a lonely ugly ocean. An enemy, supported, manipulated and organized by the likes of Jayantha and Charles Gnanakone - best buddies of Ranil Wicks, not forgetting Mani Vasagar - 'the money man of Fat Prabha' (who our investigations show came to Gnanakones' Mafia, because of a very personal involvement with the Gnanakones), three stooges originally from the North who organized (since 1973) the LTTE's marine machine, who spearheaded the planning and training of the LTTE's merchant shipping fleet as well as the sea tigers, who are also experts in arms smuggling, drug smuggling and shipping but kept leaders in successive Sri Lankan Government in their pockets - and to blow up LTTE's arsenal in transit, making a big dent in Gnanakone's organization and Fat Prabha's so called leadership, is indeed no small feat at all.

Sri Lankans know it, whether one supports the government or not, whether you are the poor man on the street or Ranil Wicks himself you know that Sri Lanka's present President is a man with guts and can be considered undoubtedly the person with the strongest and the most unwavering personality who ruled Paradise since independence. Quoting one of my Sri Lankan friends in Canada, a true modern day Dutu Gemunu from the South.

Sri Lankans, you can be very proud of your President. The world is watching your country battling for survival with all odds against it from outside as well as from inside. There are too many do-gooders, NGO's, European countries who believe the garbage peddled by the Tamil Diaspora, and other outright meddlers, waiting to see Sri Lanka fail and bow down to outside pressure and be a divided land. They are also awaiting the GoSL to be reprimanded at the UN this week. But that cannot happen because Sri Lankan government has not deliberately violated any human rights.

There are too many politicians too waiting in the wings to bring down the government of Sri Lanka for personal gains. What can any politician do (in Sri Lanka) different to what the present president is doing. There was a time not too long ago the politicians in the Paradise were wetting their pants in fear of the LTTE. There was a time that no one would dare open their big mouths in public against the LTTE. It is a different story today, Even Ranil Wicks too has quite a number of questions to ask about how the war in being conducted and as to why LTTE's killers were allowed to escape from the East after its liberation - Pooh!

Sri Lankans, some of your own politicians, Ranil Wicks and his stooges have started changing policies to cheat and please the voters. Subrogation of Ceasefire and the Peace Accord are two such.

Rather unfortunately corruption in Sri Lanka will prevail regardless of who rules the country. But fellas lets address the countries biggest enemy - Fat Prabha and his Goons. First the East and then the North.

Corruption, Sri Lanka's second biggest enemy after Fat Prabha - has to wait.

On a different note, Smiling Tamil Silva seems to have taken a back seat. He reminds one of a small time B-Grade Tamil Film Actor (smiling and posing in Tamil Net - The Gutter Press of the LTTE), pretending to play down the obvious hammering his boss and his buddies are getting and yet to please his over-indulging boss, make stupid and irrelevant statements to save face.

Well Tamil Silva, Ugly Anton is no more. Fat Prabha is next. Admit it little man! Your boss is going insane with his losses. One can also see it in Fat Prabha's face. He must be loaded with Cholesterol and he looks very sick - both mentally and physically. It will not be long before he 'Kicks the Bucket' and is six feet under. He might try save his face by handing the reins of the LTTE to some lackey and call sick for the day.

Smiley it is time to jump ship. Eritrea, here comes Smiley the Tamil Silva looking for asylem.

Sri Lanka should have a war crimes tribunal, not a call for the LTTE to lay down arms. Once the North is liberated, Fat Prabha, Tamil Silva, Daya Master, Soosai, Pottu Amman, Mani Vasagar and the Gnankone Clan must be tried for war crimes. Well fellas, it may still not be too late to test how effective that cyanide pill is. How about it guys? Otherwise what happened to Rohana Wijeweera another crazy fanatic who had a foolish dream could happen to you all. To quote from a book about Wijeweera " well suddenly he was no more". Was he burnt alive, or was he tortured to death and the body disappeared into thin air - something he richly deserved.

You LTTE's kingpins, you might still prevent a lot of grief, call it a day and save some face too but testing a cyanide pill for dessert.
