Jayalath Jayawardane, MP of the opposition UNP has gone to Swiss capital
to muster his all efforts to prevent the fall of Tamil Tiger bastion
- Kilinochchi to the advancing Sri Lankan government security forces.
Upon arrival in Geneva, he had met the head of Swiss Tamil Forum, which
is the key organization in Geneva for Wanni terrorists in Sri Lanka.
According to reliable sources Jayalath Jayawardane had requested appointments
with several top executives of the United Nations institutions in Geneva.
After meeting with senior officials of several International Non Governmental
Organization (INGO) Headquarters based in Geneva, Jayawardane had appealed
them to mobilize the international community to call for an immediate
ceasefire in Sri Lanka.
According to the sources, Jayawardane would be flying to Rome from
Geneva to call on Pope Benedict to influence the Vatican to issue an
urgent appeal to stop the ongoing military operations in Sri Lanka.
It has become an imperative responsibility of the Sri Lankan and international
intelligence bodies to take immediate actions on these kinds of pro-terrorists.
If any peace loving and pro Sri Lankan UNP member exists in the parliament
today, this incident shall be enough to strip this man off from the
membership and send him home. These people are more dangerous than real
terrorists as they take the advantages of their diplomatic powers to
spread the terrorism.
The peace loving world shall be aware of the real danger that Ranil
Wickckramasinghe and his present UNP gang is posing.
The Sri Lankan community in Switzerland has become disgusted at the
attempts made by Jayalath Jayawardane. The Tamil National Alliance (TNP)
MP K. Sivajilingam had also been in Geneva for the same task as Jayalath
Jayawardane, but as TNA is a proxy of the Wanni terrorists his attempts
have been justified to a certain extend by the Sri Lankan community
in Switzerland.
The community members further had expressed their opinion that an MP
like Jayalath Jayawardane who represents a Sinhala majority constituency
trying to safe guard the top hierarchy of a banned terrorist organization
which has already caused immense damage to the country and the world
already shall be dealt with law enforcement authorities.
The Sri Lankan community is highly disturbed over the mission of Jayalath
Jayawardane on behalf of the Wanni terrorists, at a crucial time when
the terrorist movement is losing its center of power.
"All Sri Lankans should accept the fact that regaining government
control over the north will be the best thing for the country and the
people. East is an example. People in the East - Sinhala, Tamil and
Muslim - are now enjoying democratic rights and the province is witnessing
speedy development in all fronts. Similarly, once the military task
is over, the North also will be developed and it will benefit the Tamils
of the north. And at a time like this what is Dr Jayewardene's mandate?"
an analyst asked.
"Is it Dr Jayewardene's strategy or is he acting for the UNP?
That is a question the UNP leadership will have to answer" he further
added.
