Song in place of the usual annual speech

Ramanie de Zoysa

LTTE supremo Prabhakaran has done a special rendition of the Maha Loser's Day speech this year- in fact it is a song in keeping with the new poetic tendencies he has been developing since of late. Here are the lyrics of the Maha Loser's Day song of LTTE for your readers to sing along- the original version was done by the popular Norwegian group ABBA!!!!

I don't wanna talk
About the things weve gone through
Though its hurting me
Now its history
Ive played all my cards
The Lions have the trump card
Nothing more to say
No more aces to play

The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
Thats his destiny

I was the king of death
Exterminating the Sinhala race
I figured it made sense
Building me an Eelaam
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Eelaam is a line drawn in the sand

The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And ponku Thamils down here
Don't get the Homeland so dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
Its simple and its plain
Why should I complain.

But tell me, is MR as good at killing
Like I used to kill your kith?
Does it feel the same
When he uses democracy instead of guns?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I love power
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed

The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
Killing-nochchi is as good as gone
What next? The whole of Wanni?
The winner takes it all

I dont wanna talk
If it makes you feel sad
And I understand
You don't wanna send no money no more
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all......
