MUSLIM COMMUNITY OFFERS PRAYERS FOR VICTIMS OF INDIAN STAMPEDE

AHMADIYYA MUSLIM JAMA’AT - SRI LANKA 619/4, Baseline Road, Colombo 9, Sri Lanka.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community offers sincere condolences to the victims of a stampede in northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. According to news reports dozens of people attending a nine day Hindu religious festival in the region have died. Many of the victims were children, trampled to death during the panic

The Press Spokesman of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Sri Lanka, Abdul Aziz said:

“This is a truly tragic incident in which scores of people have been killed including a number of children. On behalf of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Sri Lanka, I would like to offer our utmost condolences to all those who have been injured or bereaved. May God Almighty grant strength and patience to the victims of this tragedy.”
