Response to the report “Pax Americana, the EU, and the Tamil Resistance Movement (TRM)” by Prof. Peter SchalkBen Silva UKSummary
LTTE have carried out many murders and acts of destruction and violence in Sri Lanka with impunity. LTTE have taken away the basic human right of, right to life of many innocent people and created many orphans and disabled persons. LTTE have eliminated by murdering, nearly all democratic Tamil leaders who wanted to live in peace and harmony with the Sinhalese, in Sri Lanka. All previous ceasefire agreements have been used by LTTE to carry out an undeclared war against Sri Lanka and also to re-arm, regroup and prepare for war. Analysis of the actions of LTTE reveal that they are a racist terrorist group with a mission to carve out a part of Sri Lanka for a mono ethnic racist Tamil state. LTTE abuse children and young adults, who are vulnerable and inexperienced in life, by brainwashing them, to become killers and suicide bombers. LTTE obtain their funding for their racist, terror war in Sri Lanka through their network of bogus refugees, residing in Western countries. To achieve its aim, LTTE carry out disinformation, propaganda warfare against Sri Lanka in a well organised and professional manner using many fronts and media, deliberately targeting politicians and those with authority (LTTE operations manual). LTTE carry out their propaganda and disinformation campaigns against Sri Lanka, using exhibitions, lobbying MPs, holding cultural and sports events, holding peace conferences, using media (web, TV, Radio, News papers, publications ), using church and school premises, using public facilities, issuing reports etc. For example, many have suspected that TRO and Centre for Just Peace and Democracy (CJPD) are simply LTTE fronts spreading disinformation on Sri Lanka.
Due to favouritism shown to Tamils and because of bogus refugee claims made by Tamils, Tamils massively outnumber Sinhalese in Western countries. The economic and political power of the Tamils is enormous. The Tamils now use their massive economic and political power obtained through deception and unfair means to carry out disinformation against Sri Lanka and to influence politicians, officials and the public.
The report produced by Prof. Schalk indicate that he has been deceived by LTTE propaganda hook, line and sinker and he has failed to understand that LTTE is one of the deadliest terror groups in the world, with a very sophisticated propaganda network. The report shows that he has a poor comprehension of the situation in Sri Lanka and he has attempted to cover-up his lack of understanding of the situation by using gobbledegook. He has used selective information and gobbledegook to impress his audience. To my knowledge, Sri Lanka do not have an organisation to counter LTTE propaganda, and as such LTTE appear to win the propaganda war.
The favouritism Norway showed to LTTE is well documented in ref. [16],[17],[18]. Clearly Prof. Schalk do not understand the situation in Sri Lanka. He has failed to realise that LTTE is a deadly racist terrorist organisation that has brained washed children and young Tamils to become killers and has produced misery to both Tamils and the Sinhalese. In fact the leader of LTTE, Prabakaran is a Tamil Hitler, that would lead Tamils to misery and cause misery and destruction to all ethnic groups in Sri Lanka. Prof. Schalk has failed to realise that LTTE is on a mission to create a racist Tamil empire, getting its funds from the global Tamil population. What is very visible, loud and clear is that LTTE is a racist terrorist organisation. Prof. Schalk has used selective information and gobbledegook to impress his audience. Although he has demonstrated that he is really clueless about the real situation in Sri Lanka, LTTE may use him for disinformation. Gullible persons may be deceived by him. Prof. Schalk has falsely stated in his report that majority of Tamils support LTTE. The elected Tamil leaders have said that the majority of Tamils want LTTE defeated and the Tamil people liberated from the grip of LTTE. LTTE have slaughtered innocent defenceless civilians regularly. It is shocking to see Peter Schalk so naive as to criticize the banning of LTTE by EU. Many may question the morality, sanity and knowledge of Peter Schalk.
By reading his report, many are under the impression that Peter Schalk is really a naive, gullible person, deceived by LTTE, mesmerised by his own gobbledygook. Prof. Schalk has been hoodwinked by LTTE and he has not been able to see through the smoke screen put out by the LTTE. Many so called experts [28],[29] in the past and also at present , have brought misery to many, because they hung on to their beliefs rather than recognise overwhelming evidence contradicting their beliefs. In the case of LTTE, there is overwhelming evidence that LTTE is a racist terrorist group. However Prof. Schalk sticks to his belief that LTTE is a TRM, in a manner similar to religious fundamentalists sticking to their beliefs, rejecting evidence. Prof. Schalk has been fed on a diet of utter garbage from LTTE, for him to say that the people and the GoSL are anti Tamil. For him to criticize the banning of LTTE by EU , shows that he has absolutely no comprehension of the situation in Sri Lanka. It is just amazing that Peter Schalk support the insane terrorist group that is responsible for the deaths of 70000 humans. Many wonder if is naive or just insane. Peter Schalk is lacking in cognitive skills and common sense that he has not been able to see through the deception of LTTE. I am glad that EU politicians have managed to see through the deception and smoke screen put by LTTE. He has attempted to cover his lack of common sense by quoting from Mahavamsa and LTTE sources. His report is similar to a report produced by a student who has downloaded content from the internet, without understanding a word in it. Peter Shalk has used selective data to support his belief that LTTE is a TRM, whilst ignoring facts that clearly shows LTTE is a deadly, racist terrorist organisation that has carried out murder and destruction with impunity, hell bent on a mission to create a racist Tamil state. Similar trait was shown by the discredited Professor Meadows [25],[26],[27],[28]. Peter Schalk may have been influenced by LTTE in some subtle manner to make him believe that LTTE is a TRM and it appears that he does not want to move from that belief, even though there is overwhelming evidence that LTTE is a deadly terrorist organisation. History is full of people who doggedly held on to their beliefs, rather than come to conclusions on the basis of evidence. The report by Peter Schalk shows the character, morality, values and the ability (or the lack of the mentioned attributes) of Peter Schalk. One may ask, does any one who supports a deadly terrorist group that kill defenceless women and children have any character or a sense of values or morality? Terrorism is vile and is not worthy of support by any right thinking human. If Prof. Schalk supports a group of terrorists, then it is fair to question his thinking ability and his morality. May I also humbly ask if a person is unable to distinguish between a racist empire building terror group and a resistant movement, would it reflect on the persons ability and judgement ?
Certainly EU, to its credit has been able to differentiate between a terror group and a liberation movement. It is rather sad and most unfortunate that Prof. Schalk is unable to distinguish between right and wrong or between a freedom fighter and a racist terrorist. Many academics and so called experts, who rely on belief rather than evidence has not been able to see the truth, as they have been blinded by belief [25],[26],[27],[28],[29],[30],[31][32].
In this conflict, the Sinhalese are the global minority (14 million) that has to be protected from being driven to destruction by economically and politically powerful global Tamils ( excess of 100 million ). We have to bear in mind that a powerful LTTE disinformation and propaganda machine is working on overdrive and there is nothing effective from GoSL side to counter LTTE propaganda.
False allegations of HR abuse by Sri Lanka, have been made by HRW, AI and UN. These false accusations have been made at no cost to the accuser, but perhaps with the intention of increasing their market segment of the Human rights industry and to impress their sponsors. However the cost to Sri Lanka has been enormous, due to the false allegations facilitating bogus refugees and the bogus refugees funding the terror war.

The Sinhalese are generally good and kind people, but for sure they are not saints and it is time they responded to LTTE racism and violence and told the truth to the world. Improved communication and travel has made the world to a global village and it is essential that Global minorities, including the Sinhalese are not driven to extinction or wiped out by racist groups such as LTTE, hell bent on creating racist empires. It is time Prof. Schalk look into his conscious and reassess his ideas about the situation in Sri Lanka. A detailed response to Prof. Schalk’s report is given below.
Introduction
Prof. Peter Schalk refers to a Tamil resistance movement in his report. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) refers to itself as a liberation movement. Let me assume that the TRM Prof. Schalk is referring to is LTTE and the various fronts they have created. The whole LTTE saga is based on lies, deception, frauds and canards. LTTE is a criminal, well organised racist business, that make use of naive gullible persons such as Prof. Peter Schalk. The only liberation LTTE has done is liberating the souls of their brainwashed fighters and the souls of their victims from their bodies. Resistance movements such as the ANC did not carry out the murder of innocent women and Children such as the ones carried out at the Dollar and Kent farms by LTTE [35]. Atrocities of LTTE are documented [38], [39]. Resistance movements such as the ANC did not eliminate people on the basis that those individuals were critical of them. LTTE has eliminated those that criticized their murderous practices. LTTE killed non racist Tamil Sri Lankan Foreign minister and also the Tamil Chief whip of the Government and made attempts at the life of other Government Tamil ministers. Such violence indicate that LTTE do not want peaceful racial harmony, but LTTE want Tamil racism to dominate, eliminating all other ethnic groups. This is exactly what LTTE did by ethnically cleansing non Tamils from the areas they control. Clearly LTTE is an extremely racist group, with their leader Prabakaran’s conduct and attitude similar to that of Hitler. It is not surprising that some refer to Prabhakaran as Tamil Hitler.
The main asset and the financial source of the LTTE financial business is the bogus Tamil refugees, that has managed to gain residency in Western counties using fraudulent methods and using lies, deception and fraud. Credit card fraud, pass port fraud of LTTE and various scams of LTTE are well documented. As bogus refugees are the main financial source of LTTE, it had a professional and a structured approach to safeguarding and expanding its bogus refugee scam. There have been cases where ship loads of bogus refugees have been dumped near the borders of the country (eg Canada and Australia ). LTTE used lies, deception, fraud and canards to promote its bogus refugee scam and very often naive and gullible officials in western countries fell for it. Once the bogus refugees obtained residency in Western countries, they acquired voting rights and with it the political muscle. In the mean time, the Sinhalese faced discrimination in Western countries and Tamils received preferential treatment, when applying for residency. This has resulted in a massive imbalance of economic and political power in favour of Tamils. When Tamils received various state benefits, the Sinhalese received bombs and destruction. The state benefits received by the Tamils enabled them to have a disposable income to contribute to the terrorist LTTE group. Indirectly Western countries, including Canada, UK and EU are funding the terror war that cause a human tragedy and economic hardships in Sri Lanka. In the mean time LTTE carry out their disinformation campaign, getting support from gullible, clueless persons such as Prof. Peter Schalk. The report by Prof. Schalk states “I am convinced that the Tamils have been victims under state suppression “. This is unfortunately is his belief and he is not prepared to change his opinion, even though evidence indicate that LTTE started the racist war, LTTE is the aggressor and want to carve out a part of Sri Lanka for a mono ethnic racist state and the Sinhalese are merely defending themselves. He will find material to fit his belief, ignoring evidence that LTTE is a racist terrorist organisation. He has quoted from Mahavamsa to justify why the Sinhalese are waging war, whilst ignoring the main theme of Buddhism: non violence, peace and respect for life. LTTE is one of the deadliest terrorist organisations in the world. Its resume include: Perfected the use of suicide bombers; Geographically, the LTTE use a myriad of methods to maintain this formidable, non-state support structure. The southern province of Tamil Nadu in India plays a pivotal role in LTTE procurement and has become an essential transit point in the LTTE arms, narcotics, contraband and possibly human smuggling [1]. Bogus refugees and LTTE are closely linked. Without the bogus refugees, LTTE would not have the funds to wage the destructive war in Sri Lanka and carry out their disinformation campaign against Sri Lanka. Propaganda and disinformation is very much a part of war effort of LTTE and they carryout their disinformation in a very professional manner. The propaganda effort of LTTE is so thoroughly planned and executed, with exhibitions, meetings with MPs, cultural events, sports events and so on, many politicians, AI , HRW officials and even UN officials get deceived by LTTE. It would have been an easy matter for the LTTE to deceive a man such as Prof. Schalk, full of gobbledegook. LTTE is so efficient in their disinformation and propaganda, that many even do not realise that they are victims of LTTE disinformation. Specially patronising people, full of self importance such as Prof. Schalk become easy prey to LTTE disinformation. LTTE of course would use spin and subtlety, so that the victim is unaware of the process of deception.
It is known that LTTE have branches in all major countries in the world and these branches have meetings with politicians regularly and carry out their disinformation. GoSL has not managed to counter LTTE disinformation and to my knowledge, GoSL has no mechanism to counter LTTE disinformation, and as a result of it is loosing the propaganda war to the terrorists. What is needed is a unit that will pass on useful information on terrorist activities, from sources such as SPUR, Lankaweb, Amarasara and so on to politicians and decision makers in the world. Also information about terrorist activities and fundraising, human trafficking, arms trafficking has to be stored and made available to researchers around the globe.
Fraud, deception, lies and canards come into the picture, when LTTE discovered the gravy train of bogus refugees. LTTE discovered that it is easy to deceive gullible officials, with stories of repression, to get refugee status. It is likely that bogus refugees would have repeated the same story to AI, HRW and naive Prof. Schalk as well. Prof. Schalk may have thought that he is clever with his knowledge of gobbledegook. In practice, LTTE are professional deceivers and fraudsters, as evidenced from the various scams carried out by them. LTTE has managed to deceive Prof. Schalk, hook line and sinker and he may think he is able to bluff his audience with his gobbledegook. In reality the Sinhalese, Tamils and other ethnic minorities experienced similar conditions in Sri Lanka. Due to the privileged status the Tamils had under colonial rule, Tamils had many advantages. In fact it is the rich and middle class Tamils who had contacts, afforded the air fare and money, actually became refugees in Western Countries. If they were genuine refugees, they would have gone to Tamil Nadu, the home land of the Tamils.
Evidence has shown that people from poor African countries, China and of course Tamils from Sri Lanka would go to any length, including risking their lives, telling lies, using deception and fraud to live in Western Countries It is indeed a natural human quality to desire better life and to satisfy ‘wants’. I have nothing against any one who wants to improve. The opportunities should be there for all and should not be created using lies and deception.
Reality in Sri Lanka The GOSL and the people are having a hard time due to terrorism funded by Western Countries, including EU. LTTE Terrorists target civilians for slaughter with impunity in Sri Lanka. LTTE have regularly killed innocent people by bombs and hacking women and children to death.
Terrorism has caused a human rights crisis, that affects all Sri Lankans:
Terrorism producing orphans, disabled persons, blind persons, and causing
fear, mental illnesses and stress. The above are very serious matters affecting Sri Lankans, and if there is natural justice at all in the world, then the countries that allowed terrorists to fund raise should compensate the victims and also compensate Sri Lanka, as Sri Lanka has to spend money on defence, that it otherwise would have spent on improving the quality of life of the citizens.
The Government is certainly not anti Tamil as there are number of Tamil Government ministers in the Government. In fact LTTE killed the Chief Government Whip, a Tamil, Late Hon Fernandopulle. LTTE also killed the Oxford educated Sri Lankan Tamil Foreign minister Lakshman Kadirgamar. The majority of the country is made up of peasants, who are not racists, but struggle to make the ends meet, and they can do without terrorism. The Sinhalese are generally good people, spiritual and kind people, but for sure they are not Saints There are also intermarriages between Sinhalese and the Tamils, which has made the country more integrated. Prof. Schalk has been fed on a diet of utter garbage from LTTE, for him to say that the people and the GoSL are anti Tamil. For him to criticize the banning of LTTE by EU , shows that he has absolutely no comprehension of the situation in Sri Lanka. Contrary to what Prof. Schalk thinks, GoSL is poorly organised and they allowed this bogus refugee scam to carry on without even challenging the authorities. Some say even the embassies of Sri Lanka have been infiltrated by LTTE agents.
The references given, gives a good picture of the real situation in Sri Lanka. The audio clip in ref. [20] gives a chilling picture of reality.
Prof. Schalk’s support of terrorists and his failure to recognise racist terrorists indicate that he is simply lacking common sense. This is not the first time the world has seen academics with no common sense. A professor that brought much agony to many families because of his dogged beliefs is Professor Meadows [25],[26],[27],[28] . There appears to be similarities with the approach of Prof. Meadows and that of Prof. Schalk. Both appear to rely heavily on their beliefs and appear to selectively seek evidence that fit their beliefs rather than applying common sense or critical thinking. It appears from the report Peter Schalk has written, he has not understood the complex nature of the problem but merely deceived by LTTE disinformation and propaganda. The support for terrorists and his article demonstrates the serious lack of comprehension of the situation in Sri Lanka by Prof. Schalk. What his report demonstrates is that he has been taken hook, line and sinker by LTTE agents, in a manner similar to the victims of the Irish International University scam [37]. Unfortunately, his ignorance and his arrogance make him a person that could carry out disinformation for LTTE He appears to be completely clueless about the real situation in Sri Lanka and appear to impress his audience with selective information and gobbledegook.
His first failure is to falsely believe that LTTE is a liberation movement, when it is in reality a Tamil racist empire building movement. The following point to the empire building mission of LTTE:
1. The Emblem of LTTE is similar to that of South Indian Chola dynasty that invaded Sri Lanka. 2. Ethnic cleansing by LTTE of Sinhalese and Muslims from areas controlled by LTTE. 3. Murder of Sinhalese National leaders and also Tamil leaders who wanted a unitary Sri Lanka. 4. Motivation and brain washing of Tamils by LTTE in a racist manner, promoting racism. 5. Funding for terrorism from the global Tamil network.
LTTE have killed most of the democratic, peace loving Tamil leaders, who wanted a united country and live in peace with the Sinhalese. In deed LTTE have killed so many Tamils that it cannot say they are a liberation or resistant movement.
Details of Tamil politicians killed by LTTE are given below. Very recently LTTE killed Jeyaraj Fernandopoulle, a Tamil Catholic, and Highways Minister and Chief Government Whip. Earlier they killed Lakshman Kathiragamar, a brilliant Tamil Foreign Minister; LTTE also have killed Appapillai Amirthalingham, the Leader of the Opposition; Neelan Thiruchelvam, a Tamil intellectual and Constitutional expert and Professor at Harvard University; Ketheshwaran Loganathan, the Deputy Secretary General of the Government Peace Secretariat, a rebel who joined the democratic stream; A Thiagarajah, the MP for Vadukoddai; K. Alalasundaran, MP for Kopai; V. Dharmalingam, MP for Manipay, and the list goes on. LTTE is the only terrorist group that has killed leaders of two countries: President Ranasinghe Premadasa of Sri Lanka and PM Rajiv Handhi of India. LTTE has killed top Tamil, well educated GoSL ministers and officials. With such killing of Tamil ministers, who are Sri Lankan national assets, it is laughable to suggest that LTTE is a resistant movement or a liberation movement. The only liberation LTTE have done is liberation of the souls of the victims. What is very visible, loud and clear is that LTTE is a racist terrorist organisation.
Prof. Schalk has failed to see this when there is glaring and obvious evidence that LTTE is a racist terrorist organisation, that will eliminate its opposition using violence. The above clearly shows failure of Prof. Schalk to see reality. He is just mesmerised by his own dogged beliefs that he refuse to see evidence. The rest of his report clearly indicate that he is a misguided person, who would glorify terrorism.
Prof. Schalk states in his report that majority of Tamils support LTTE. This is LTTE propaganda. How did Prof. Schalk know what the majority want ? In fact the elected Tamil leaders Piliyalan and also the veteran Tamil leader Anandasagaree have indicated that LTTE must be defeated. They have asked the GoSL to liberate the people from LTTE tyranny. It is complete fallacy that the majority of Tamils support LTTE. It is clear that Prof. Schalk lives in a fantasy world.
Just to amplify on the racist nature of LTTE, the following passage is given. The Sinhalese stream in the University of Jaffna was forcibly closed in 1981 with the 400 students having to be evacuated to safety under armed escort whilst Tamil students in the southern universities were unharmed. The 100,000 Muslims of Jaffna were driven out by the LTTE on 48 hours notice in 1990. The Tamils who were displaced in the south during the unfortunate race riots of 1983 caused as a result of built up tensions and triggered by the claymore bombing and machine gunning of 13 soldiers from the Sinhala community, have been able to return to their homes and live peacefully with their Sinhala neighbours, whereas the ousted Sinhalese and Muslims were not able to get back to their former places of residence. Subsequent attempts to provoke the Sinhalese into retaliation by brutal attacks on Buddhist pilgrims, sacred shrines, ethnic cleansing attacks on Sinhalese villages have been overlooked by the Sinhalese showing that the ugly riots of 1983 was indeed an aberration. The Sinhala community has publicly apologised for harm done to their fellow Tamil citizens. If Sinhalese leaders referred to Tamils as terrorists, it is because they resorted to every form of terrorism including suicide bomb attacks mainly against civilians.
Prof. Schalk mention of violence against the Tamils. The violence against Tamils have occurred only as a result of mob reaction to Tamil terrorists killing Sinhalese. For the past 20 years GoSL has taken precautions to prevent violence against Tamil civilians by using law enforcement agencies. The canards he has mentioned in his reports are canards invented by bogus refugees, to claim refugee status in Western Countries. It would appear that AI, HRW, who are simply biased towards LTTE have believed the canards by bogus refugees. Currently the majority of Tamils live amongst the Sinhalese, showing that the Tamils are able to live in harmony amongst the Sinhalese. The very fact that the majority of the Tamils live amongst the Sinhalese indicate that there is no organised plan by the GoSL to drive away the Tamils as claimed by the report.
It is absolutely essential to understand the root cause of the problem in Sri Lanka, before any solution is contemplated. It is well known that terrorism in Sri Lanka is funded by bogus Tamil refugees living in Western Countries [8],[9]. The mission of the overseas Tamils is to carve out a part of Sri Lanka for a mono ethnic Tamil State. The terrorist problem in Sri Lanka, is due to the favouritism shown to Tamils and the discrimination against the Sinhalese, related to residency in Western Countries. This discrimination against the Sinhalese is certainly immoral and illegal. The favouritism to Tamils and the discrimination against the Sinhalese is glaringly obvious and is very visible in London, where you see many Tamils and Tamil owned businesses and hardly any Sinhalese. It is this massive discrimination that is fuelling the terrorism and fund the LTTE propaganda war. By favouring one ethnic group (Tamils) over another (Sinhalese), Western countries including EU, have initiated instability in Sri Lanka. This may be a chilling revelation, but is an irrefutable fact. This favouritism to Tamils has caused a power imbalance and an economic imbalance as well, in Sri Lanka. Even prior to the favouritism shown to Tamils, by Western countries, it was a massive struggle for the small Sinhalese group to defend against the invading tribal Tamil war lords. Therefore, Western countries, including EU countries should take full responsibility for the mess in Sri Lanka and should pay compensation for the victims of terrorism.
Prof. Schalk has used a lot of academic jargon to impress his readers, but the situation in Sri Lanka is that the Sinhalese are fighting to survive an empire building effort by racist Tamils. It is doubtful if the average person has any knowledge of ‘samaya sandhaha yuddhaya, war for peace’. I must admit neither did I and I do not think many Sri Lankans follow the gobbledegook Prof. Schalk has used to impress his audience. The key principle of Buddhism is non violence and respect for life. Because of non violence practiced by Sinhalese, the Sinhalese have been easy prey for invaders. The Sinhalese are generally non violent and peaceful, and they have a right to defend themselves.
Separate state for the Tamils A separate state based on race would not only legitimise racism, it will bring misery on large scale to Tamils and Sinhalese. In the past, even when the sea separated Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka, Tamil invaders regularly invaded Sri Lanka and caused destruction. If they are allowed to have a state , then it would be a matter of time, before empire building Tamil leaders start encroaching into Sinhalese areas. Because of improved communication, the world is getting a smaller place, and a better approach would be to learn to live together and have a caring and sharing attitude rather than a racist attitude.
Peter Schalk has written complete garbage, far away from reality. The reality is Tamils spread around the world are funding the terrorists to create a mono ethnic racist Tamil State, where the ‘King’ is Prabhakaran. Rather than talking pure garbage, it would be profitable for Prof. Schalk to research into the activities of Chola invaders. Prof. Schalk should spend a few minutes on research into the history of Sri Lanka. The Sinhalese recognised human rights over 2000 years ago. Prof. Schalk’s attempt appear as a ‘know all’ white man attempting to civilise the Sinhalese. He has shown that he knows very little about real Sri Lanka or the real Sinhalese or real Buddhists but merely made irreverent citations, to show that he is a knowledgeable. This sort of report is produced by students who download things from the internet, without understanding a word.
It would help if we have knowledge of the history of Sri Lanka. The whole of Sri Lanka was the home of the Sinhalese. For over 2000 years, Tamil Chieftains from South India have invaded Sri Lanka several times, and indeed temporarily occupied parts of the country. They were always beaten back. However, their remnants settled peacefully in the country. The Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) terrorist group, which has close links to organizations in the Indian State of Tamil Nadu (meaning "the Land of the Tamils"), even uses the tiger emblem of those ancient Chola invaders of Lanka [1]. The symbolism cannot be ignored. The patient aspiration to take over most, if not all, of Sri Lanka has never died, and in the last century, taken various guises such as the pre-independence 50/50 movement, the proposed merger of the Northern and Eastern Provinces to form a "homeland" within a loose federation, and the terrorism perpetrated for the formation of a separate country called Tamil Eelam in a region of Sri Lanka that includes, and is bigger than, the Northern and Eastern Provinces. Sri Lanka was subjected to colonial rule by the Portuguese and the Dutch over her coastal regions from 1505 to about 1795, after which the British came on the scene and controlled the entire island from 1815 onwards following the ceding of power by the Sinhala Chieftains over the island called SINHALE under the terms of a Treaty known as the Kandyan Convention.
Over the centuries, Tamil war lords have used violence and death threats and have driven the Sinhalese away from their traditional home land.
Prof. Schalk has opposed banning of LTTE. There are number of issues to be considered. Large number of Tamil bogus refugees were allowed into EU countries on the basis of canards produced by them. This resulted in favouritism to Tamils and discrimination to Sinhalese. The bogus refugees had various state benefits that resulted in them having The Tamil bogus refugee scam has given a massive unfair economic and political advantage to Tamils. If EU does not ban LTTE, EU should take full responsibility to the damage done to Sri Lanka and its people, from funding generated in EU.
Conclusion
LTTE used the CFA facilitated by Norway to carry out an undeclared war against Sri Lanka. The favouritism Norway showed to LTTE is well documented in ref. [16],[17],[18]. Clearly Prof. Schalk do not understand the situation in Sri Lanka. He has failed to realise that LTTE is a deadly racist terrorist organisation that has brained washed children and young Tamils to become killers and has produced misery to both Tamils and the Sinhalese. In fact the leader of LTTE, Prabakaran is a Tamil Hitler, that would lead Tamils to misery and cause misery and destruction to all ethnic groups in Sri Lanka. Prof. Schalk has failed to realise that LTTE is on a mission to create a racist Tamil empire, getting its funds from the global Tamil population. Prof. Schalk has been taken in by LTTE agents hook line and sinker. He has used selective information and gobbledegook to impress his audience. Although he has demonstrated that he is really clueless about the real situation in Sri Lanka, LTTE may use him for disinformation. Gullible persons may be deceived by him. Prof. Schalk has falsely stated in his report that majority of Tamils support LTTE. The elected Tamil leaders have said that the majority of Tamils want LTTE defeated and the Tamil people liberated from the grip of LTTE. LTTE have slaughtered innocent defenceless civilians regularly. It is shocking to see Peter Schalk so naive as to criticize the banning of LTTE by EU. Many may question the sanity and knowledge of Prof. Schalk.
By reading his report, I am under the impression that Peter Schalk is really a naive, gullible person, deceived by LTTE, mesmerised by his own gobbledygook. Prof. Schalk has been hoodwinked by LTTE and he has not been able to see through the smoke screen put out by the LTTE. Many so called experts [28],[29] in the past and also now, have brought misery to many, because they hung on to their beliefs rather than recognise overwhelming evidence. In the case of LTTE, there is overwhelming evidence that LTTE is a racist terrorist group. However Prof. Schalk sticks to his beliefs that LTTE is a TRM, like some religious fundamentalists stick to their beliefs, rejecting evidence. In fact Prof. Schalk appear to have mental characteristics similar to that of religious extremists who stick to their beliefs and reject overwhelming evidence.
The report shows the character, morality, values and the ability (or the lack of the mentioned attributes) of the author Peter Schalk. One may ask does any one who supports a deadly terrorist group that kill defenceless women and children have any character or a sense of values or morality? Terrorism is vile and is not worthy of support by any right thinking human. If Prof. Schalk supports a group of terrorists, then it is fair to question his thinking ability. May I also humbly ask if a person is unable to distinguish between a racist empire building terror group and a resistant movement would it reflect on the persons ability and judgement ? Certainly EU has been able to differentiate between a terror group and a liberation movement.
In this conflict, the Sinhalese are the global minority (14 million) has to be protected from being driven to destruction by the global Tamils ( over 100 million )
False allegations on HR abuse by Sri Lanka have been made by HRW, AI and UN. These false accusations have been made at no cost to the accuser, but perhaps with the intention of increasing the market segment of the Human rights industry. However the cost to Sri Lanka has been enormous, due the false allegations facilitating bogus refugees and the bogus refugees funding a terror war.
Due to favouritism shown to Tamils and because of bogus refugee claims by Tamils, Tamils far outnumber Sinhalese in Western countries. The economic and political power of the Tamils is enormous. The Tamils now use their massive economic and political power obtained through deception and unfair means to carry out disinformation against Sri Lanka and to influence politicians, officials and the public.
It is time Prof. Schalk look into his conscious and reassess his ideas about the situation in Sri Lanka.

The pain, suffering, death and the economic hardships faced by the Sinhalese and other ethnic groups due to the Tamil bogus refugee scam is the main reason for writing this article. Terrorism [4] has brought about immense pain, suffering, mental agony and hardship to the weakest Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim members of the Sri Lankan society. Prabakaran has unfortunately, brainwashed Tamil children and young adults and trained them as killers, to create a racist kingdom for him. The Government of Sri Lanka and its citizens face serious problems in the human rights front, mainly due to the LTTE and its activities against civilians. The Tamil bogus refugee scam has given a massive unfair economic and political advantage to Tamils [10],[21].
The world economy is driven by wants, greed and money. The two driving forces that motivate Tamils to seek residence in Western Countries as bogus refugees are: the desire for things that are not available in Sri Lanka, and the desire for money. This desire is not peculiar to Sri Lankan Tamils, but is also a feature of people from poor African Countries as well as people from various parts of the world. Evidence has shown that people from poor African countries, China and of course Tamils from Sri Lanka would go to any length, including risking their lives, telling lies, using deception and fraud to live in Western Countries It is indeed a natural human quality to desire better life and to satisfy ‘wants’. I have nothing against any one who wants to improve. The opportunities should be there for all and should not be created using lies and deception.
The motivation that drives LTTE is racism, greed and a taste for power and empire building. The emblem of the LTTE flag, derived from ancient Tamil invaders, their ethnic cleansing, their funding derived from global Tamils, give us an indication that LTTE are racist empire builders [15]. Unfortunately innocent Tamils and Sinhalese are the victims of LTTE terror, as LTTE have targeted peace loving fair minded Tamils and killed them [16],[17].
