LTTE TERRORISTS KILL SEVEN CIVILIANS IN EASTERN PROVINCE

Suspected Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) terrorists hiding in the jungles

entered Athimale farming village kidnapped seven farmers and later shot them dead at pointblank.

The villagers belonging to the majority Sinhales ethnic group were later found to be dead with gun shot injuries on a tractor trailer at a place called Tahanattekanda, military authorities said.

Police said the 4 victims have been shot dead with a T-56 assault rifles and 3 have been shot with a pistols. Police suspect the civilian victims have been shot about 10.00 a.m. on Thursday Sepember 11.
