General Fonseka's interviewed with Canadian Journalist

Dushyanth Kekulawela, San Francisco, California.

I don't see anything wrong with General Fonseka's opinion that Sri Lanka belongs to the Sinhalese people.

He would have been more correct if he said Sri Lanka belongs to all Sri Lankans. However, I strongly disagree with some of the writers that insinuate that General Fonseka is of the opinion that Sri Lanka does not belong to Tamils, Muslims, Catholics or other minority communities.

General Fonseka never said that the Sri Lanka does not belong to Tamils, Muslims, Catholics or other minority communities. In fact what he said was (according to my understanding) that the minority communities should not violate majority Sinhalese peoples' rights. I 100% agree with General Fonseka.
