BUTTALA BUS BLAST – TRIBUTE TO RANIL’S CFA FINALE

A.A.M.NIZAM MATARA.

On the final day of the ignominious CFA the terrorists murdered 27 innocent civilians and wounded around 67 persons in the Buttala claymore mine blast. Although the United States have condemned this brutal massacre of the terrorist outfit, the Videshapriya media dogs, and NGO vultures who cry foul for everything that affects or disadvantages the terrorist outfit and talk vociferously about humanitarian values and call for respect of innocent civilian life remain totally silent and ignorant of this horrendous massacre as it had happened in some other planet. If the terrorists and the enemies of the nation who earn their livelihood by helping the terrorists and terrorism to prevail in this country hope that this type of inhuman acts and massacres could frighten the masses or open up a communal backlash, they are utterly mistaken. Terrorists and their bootlickers should realize that the people are determined to eradicate terrorism from Sri Lanka and they would confront any and every obstacle in this historical melee daringly and fearlessly, without falling pray to their schemes and strategies.

At the time of the blast, around 7.40 a.m. on Wednesday (16th) the SLTB long chassied bus from Buttala to Okkampitiya is reported to have been carrying over 100 passengers including many school children. There are three school children and 13 women among the dead. The injured have been taken to Moneragala and Buttala hospitals and 5 patients on critical conditions have been airlifted to the National Hospital in Colombo.

Several persons among the dead and injured are found to be having gun-shot wounds and it is reported that persons who jumped out of the bus were shot by three or four LTTE terrorists who fled to the jungle after shooting the passengers from tree tops. Security forces have rushed to the scene and were combing the jungle area to detain or eliminate these terrorists. The President has taken immediate action to despatch a team of specialist doctors and essential medicines for treatment of the injured.

The terrorist outfit had been suffering heavy casualties in the recent months and they are not in a position to face the onslaught of our forces due to lack of sufficient trained cadres and weaponry. The terrorist outfit which had been waging a terrorist war with the objective of gaining the illusive Eelam for the last three decades cannot be expected to give up its aggression easily. The Buttala Bus Blast is the latest of a series of bomb explosions being carried out by the vanishing species of tiger terrorists to save their skin aimed at halting or reversing the military operation through arousing anger in the masses and forcing them to rise against the Tamils in a backlash as the UNP engineered 1983 progrom. It will not be the last in this series and there could be more such incidents in the future. People should not fall pray to these terrorist manouvers and be vigilant about potential suspicious objects and persons in their areas.

Similarly the Videshapriya proxies who were enjoying unimaginable lavish existence owing to their shameless support, promotion and protection of the terrorists will make every effort to betray the nation, create obstacles to the government, discredit the security forces and the government and even openly canvass for foreign intervention in the country, in order to inject oxygen to the terrorists facing imminent extinction. The treacherous international agent Kumar Rupasinghe’s launch today of a new outfit called “Prayatna” (the despicable Anti War Front camouflaged under a new name) is a well calculated sinister move to serve the terrorists and foreign rogues. While the gallant security forces admirably fight the terrorist cadres, all patriotic masses should rise against this kind of anti-national organisations if we are to eliminate the terrorist menace successfully, and save the nation for the benefit of our posterity.

When the government announced its decision to abrogate the ignominious CFA cunningly imposed on Sri Lanka, the Videshapriya gang was highly critical about the government’s decision and launched a vicious propaganda barrage against government’s decision. They hailed the terrorist announcement to continue with the CFA as a sincere move and called upon the western powers and neo-colonialist Humanitarian hawkers to compel the government to agree for continuation of the dead CFA. The government as well as the democratic and patriotic Sri Lankan organisation in Sri Lanka and overseas should make every effort to project by all means the atrocities of the terrorist outfit and the need for its earliest and total elimination.

.In the meantime, people possessing blood groups O positive and O negative have been requested to come forward for donation of bloods to Buttala, Moneragala and Badulla hospitals to save the lives of the innocent victims. Lack of such donations could endanger the life of innocent victims prematurely. In view of the above, I wish to extend an appeal to all Sri Lankans living overseas to visit the government hospitals or the relevant government authority in their areas when they go to Sri Lanka on Holiday and donate at least a pint of blood as it could help save the life of our gallant soldiers and innocent people who become victims in incidents of this nature.
