DIRECTOR SEEMAN WHO MADE A
SEDITOUS SPEECH SUPPORTING PRABHAKARAN ARRESTED

DMK Film Director Seemen was arrested October 24 by Tamil Nadu police
under the intense pressure of India’s Congress Party for allegedly
making separatist statements advocating Tamil Nadu should secede from
the rest of India.
In his speech Seeman was accused of stating that the assassination
of Rajiv Gandhi by a LTTE suicide bomber was justified at a film industry
organized rally at Rameshwaram.
Chennai film director Seeman, who is alleged to have made a seditious
inflammatory speech against India in a recent pro-LTTE rally as pointed
out by India’s Congress Legislators Party is a thug who assaulted
Thushara Peiris , the director of the Sri lankan film “Prabhakaran”
in front of the Gemini film processing lab in Chennai few months ago
, police records show.
Although he is an avid Sri Lanka hater he has traveled without any
hindrance to the beautiful island to shoot his films on location at
such scenic places like Kandy and Nuwara Eliya records also reveal.
Congress legislative Party leader, D. Sudarsanam said recently, "The
National Security Act should be invoked against movie directors Seeman
and Ameer for canvassing support for terrorists, espousing separatist
causes in India and threatening to start an armed rebellion from a public
platform in Rameshwaram Oct 19.
"Failure to do so will result in agitations to prosecute persons
like Seeman and Ameer who blatantly insulted Congress martyrs (late
prime ministers) Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi,"
Seeman’s record also show he is a close friend of Tamil Nadu’s
Chief Minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi and his allegedly pro-LTTE daughter
Kanimozhi , who wrote a letter of resignation from her Rajya Sabha seat
and handed it over to her father, though it has no legal validity leading
to a resignation. The resignations were stage in support of the LTTE.
The thuggish film director is so fond of Kanimozhi , he even gave a
courteousy role in one of his films,“Vaazhthukkal“.
Few months ago the Times of India newspaper identified the attackers
of Thushara Peiris as S.P. Veerapandian, who happened to be the General
Secretary of the ultra nationalist Dravida Iyakka Tamilar Peravai, S.
Vanniyarasu of Viduthalai Chirunthaikal and Chennai film director Seeman.In
the midst of the political pressure of the Tamil nadu government law
was not allowed to take its course. Seeman was upset with Thushara Peiris
, since the film he made, Prabhakaran, depicted the dark side of his
hero’s life- abducting Tamil children to train them as child soldiers
in abominable training camps.
Tamil Nadu Congress leader Ilayankudi S Shabir Ali hopelessly lodged
a complaint with the Chennai Commissioner of Police Nanchil Kumaran
then to take action against director Seeman, but he was treated above
law and untouched over the film “Prabhakaran” incident.
He is the third person to be arrested in Tamil Nadu on similar charges
after the MDMK leaders.
