Inaccuracies by the media on Tamil terror

This is regarding the article titled "Tamil Tigers headquarters 'about to fall' to Sri Lankan Army" on November 26, 2008. We noticed several inaccuracies in your report and would like you to correct them.

You said that the "The town is the administrative centre of a parallel state the rebels have tried to establish to protect the Tamil minority from a government dominated by the ethnic Sinhalese majority." This is totally incorrect. What about all the Tamils living freely in other parts of Sri Lanka? What about elected Tamil politicians who commit treason against the state who continue to flex political muscle in the Sri Lankan Parliament? Did you know that Tamils in Sri Lanka own successful businesses, run political parties and publish newspapers freely in Sri Lanka? There never was any administrative centre for anything in LTTE controlled areas because there never was any parallel state. What the Tamil Terrorists did was to put up a fake show for the world and terrorize innocent Tamils in this region. The LTTE recruited poor Tamil children in these areas to fight their terror war and die an untimely death. Hence, if a 'centre' was indeed needed, it was only to run their terrorist war against a democratic government. Did you have an opportunity to examine the evidence on the ground before making such ridiculous claims? Hope we can help you realize a series of glaring misstatements on your part.

This statement is outright false: "However, speculation is mounting that the government will announce the fall of Kilinochchi tomorrow to upstage an annual address by Vellupillai Prabhakaran, the Tigers' leader, to the Tamil people." Vellupillai Prabhakaran is a modern-day Hitler who systematically murdered moderate Tamils and other ethnic groups in North or North-East of the Sri Lanka. He continues to terrorize Tamils worldwide with extortion to fund his terror war. How can such a brute be the leader to the Tamil people? Only the LTTE will dare make such a statement.

The following statement cannot be considered news because it is just your personal bias in favor of the LTTE: "Mr Prabhakaran, who turned 54 today, traditionally uses the Heroes' Day speech to honour the Tigers' dead and to rally the large Tamil diaspora, which funds the rebel group". First of all, most Tamils do not willingly support this terror organization. They are secretly threatened to do so. Secondly, it is disgusting to call suicide bombers as heroes. Do you call celebrating suicide bombing as an honor? This speech is just a propaganda stunt to spread fear. Just for your info: terrorists don't give speeches. They threaten people. That is what Prabhakaran has done all his life. Hope you realize the difference.

Once again you show your bias by quoting human rights groups and their bogus claims. "Human rights activists accuse the government of widespread abuses against ethnic Tamils, including extra-judicial killings, since a 2002 truce, brokered by Norway, began to unravel in early 2006." Did you know that the LTTE has conducted many innocent killings while been backed by these HR groups including Amnesty International? AI is based in the UK and so is a large LTTE operation.

If you look deeper, you'll realize that these HR activists are more driven by politics than human rights. That is why you see LTTE operatives driving HR agendas from countries such as UK, Canada, US and Norway. The 2002 truce, brokered by Norway was a sham. The LTTE had no respect for it. They violated the truce openly countless number of times. Did you know that the LTTE was never interested in a real truce but wanted one to generate more funds, stock up on weapons and recruit civilians for the war? That's how the LTTE developed its capability in fighting the Sri Lankan armed forces. It's too bad you missed this. Hope you had looked closer.

Here is another false statement: "Human Rights Watch said that it had recorded 30 cases of extra-judicial killings across eastern Sri Lanka in the past two months and urged authorities to curb such abuses." There is evidence that these killings are by the LTTE financed in countries such as UK, Canada, US and Norway. Then the Tamil Terrorists get the Human Rights Watch to accuse the Sri Lankan authorities. That is so easy. What is hard is to stop the fund-raising in these countries by the terrorists, get rid of the LTTE and prevent the killings by the terrorists. These missing persons are probably fighting for the LTTE or living in the West raising funds for the terror war under aliases. Are you aware that the front organizations for the LTTE in the US hired attorney Bruce Fein to spread false propaganda, racism and hate, and legitimize their terror campaign? Did you know that the Human Rights Watch is based in New York and in America there is no such thing as a free lunch?

The LTTE is influencing US lawmakers and presidential campaigns. Here is a list:

If the Tamil Terrorists can get to lawmakers, presidential campaigns and eventually the White House, why can't they get to human rights organizations such as HRW in New York? Hope you see the connection: Terror enterprise of the LTTE uses blood-money to 'buy' corrupt persons & orgs in the West. This gives the terrorists access to more fund$ & weapons. That leads to more killing in Sri Lanka by LTTE. A little research by journalists does go a long way.

You said "In November 1999, the Tigers reversed military gains of 19 months in a matter of five days, pushing the government into the peace process that led to the truce." That is no wonder when the LTTE raised 300 million USD in blood-money every year (Jane's Defense Intelligence Review), thanks to politicians in UK and Canada. We hope you will publish the source of evil by researching terror activities in the UK. Did you know that many British MPs are paid by Tamil Terrorists in the UK to celebrate the barbaric acts of suicide bombings in London? Google for "British MP LTTE" and "British MP Tamil Terrorist". We wonder how you missed all that right in your back yard. The failed peace process you talk about did nothing but help prolong the war and enable the Tamil Terrorists terrorize Sri Lanka. Therefore how can you even call it a peace process?

There are many glaring errors in this biased article. We hope the writer will read more about the Tamil Terrorists/LTTE/Tamil Tigers from these references. We also ask the author to write a more balanced article with real facts and not cater to the propaganda of the LTTE.
