What cannot the LTTE afford to do?
-the aftermath of the Palampiddi bus bombing-

Sisira Pereira, Panadura

The LTTE terrorists are known to the world now as the most ruthless terrorists in the world. Recently the LTTE graduated from the terror school and the certificate was awarded by the FBI. Though the formal awarding of the accolade took place after 25 years of dedicated practice of terror by the outfit, it achieved many monumental milestones regularly during these 25 years of violent campaign.

Over these two decades they;
Have killed politicians both local and overseas and there is no stopping.
Have tried to capture the Maldivian islands by force and failed.
Recruited thousands of children for the war and there is no stopping.
Killed Heads of State both local and abroad.
Murdered villages full of unarmed civilians, children and women.
Murdered buses full of Buddhist monks.
Murdered hundreds of prisoners of war.
Murdered hundreds of surrendered policemen.
Killed pilgrims in a sacred place in Anuradhapura.
Bombed and destroyed a world heritage site in Kandy.
Murdered and chased thousands of Muslims and Sinhala civilians from the North-East.
Hijacked boats of Indian Fishermen and shot and killed them.
Bombed civilian targets in the capital city and around the country.
Bombed economic and military targets in the country.
Used their international terror network to intimidate people to raise funds.
Had been caught trying to smuggle weapons to Sri Lanka.
Had been caught in drug smuggling and credit card scams overseas.
Has collected money in the guise of Tsunami rehabilitation and used it for terror activities.
Has conspired to abduct and kill rivals living inside Indian territory.
Infiltrated Sri Lankan refugee camps in India to further their terror ploys.
Has made clandestine terror connections with international terror groups.
Pioneered the suicide jacket and belt to launch human bombings.
Have used civilians as human shield, and there is no stopping.
Built military bunkers and placed artillery launching pads close to hospitals and schools.
Used school premises as clandestine terrorist training centres.
Have engaged in sea piracy.
Attacked international shipping.
Killed Muslims inside mosques when they were praying.
Killed Hindu Poosaris for garlanding the democratically elected president.
Chose to block distribution of irrigation water to thousands of hectares of arable land.
Used ceasefire periods to smuggle in arms and fortify their military strength.
Used disabled women as suicide bombers.
Have forced civilians to the battle front.
Abducted children and youth to fight the war against the will of the parents.
Signed a CFA and violated it thousands of times from day one.
Ordered a section of the CFA monitors out as their home countries banned the LTTE.
And finally, while doing all these heroics, they have instated a spokeswoman for Human Rights in Kilinochchi to speak against the human rights violations by “others”.
And now, for the first time in the history of their terror campaign, the LTTE has been cornered and is with their back to the wall.

And most recently, they bombed a bus full of civilians and children inside their illegally-held territory in Palampiddi. They are going to town saying that it is the work of the deep penetration unit of the Sri Lankan Army.

Now who would you think should believe them?

The next thing is that they will shoot down the Madu Church and say it is the work of the Army.

But for the people of Sri Lanka, who have been keeping track of the LTTE since it killed Alfred Doraiappa in Jaffna, their terror tactics are much too clear. Thus, they can go tell their stone lies to the Marines, and Marines would include Matsuyamas, Abours, Chilcotts, Gareth Evans’, and Chaarulatta Hoggs.

But not us.
