Aspirations Towards The Nation's Leadership Sans Credibility Could Never Be Viewd As Favourable Towards A Better Sri Lanka!

There can be no real future for Sri Lanka whether politically, economically or otherwise as long as there is disunity amongst her politicians as is the case today.There is no question that the policies of President Rajapaksha point in the right direction towards posterity albeit hampered by the likes of the dissentors who once supported him but dissatisfied with the size of the piece of action they failed to cut for themselves are now trying through various devious means which certainly cannot be hidden under a bushel, to accomplish what might be tantamount to annexing a piece of the moon!

Of such are the worthlessness and impossibilities of the attempts by the likes of the Samaraweera/ Sooriyaarachchi ' coalition' with the rest of their hangers on which at times even suggests the likes of ex President Kumaratunga and former prime minister Ranil Wickremasinghe as anticipated late entries to their camp and the rest of the worthless departees from their conscientious responsibilities linked to the oaths they once took now on a mission of dog eat dog pursuit to upend the Rajapaksha Administration. Perhaps they little realise that all they are contributing to by their irresponsible actions is a further compounding of Sri Lanka's problems and lending support to her enemies ever ready to strike home an advantage regardless of rationalities or legalities.


It has to be recognized with absolute disdain and contempt that as a result of political disunity within the rank and file of the ruling party perpetuated by some who believe that creating instability within the Administration is the key to their personal successes, the future of the Nation appears to be at stake based purely upon this disunity despite the drive of the Sri Lanka's Armed forces diligently battling the scourge of the LTTE in the North and East which is the real key to Sri Lanka's posterity. Consequently President Mahinda Rajapakse and those loyal to him in a parliamentary capacity are facing a whole new battle apart from the millitary one,! One within their own camp brought about by the selfish agendas of a handful of individuals which has to be confronted effectively by the President and his allies whose tasks relating towards the posterity of Sri Lanka as a result of this unnecessary impediment is rendered somewhat arduous, complex and unenviable!

These selfish politicians who are virtually destroying national unity and labouring somewhat worthlessly to implant the concept in the minds of the general public that the present administration has been nation destructive and that they the newly formed Mahajana wing of the SLFP could offer a better alternative through their breakaway version of the SLFP regardless of what they care to call it! By no means should they be permitted to hoodwink the Nation that theirs is a panacea to the Nation's woes as it is the furthest from the truth! Add to it the very thought of an unlikely entry to the' new alliance' of former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe and his opportunistic band of rejected politicians from an era which Sri Lanka should only envision as archival and non renewable! with rumblings about the possibilities of a re-entry into the political arena by former president Chandrika Kumaratunge and the icing's on the cake towards a formula for disaster for the Sinhala Nation where the damage that could be done through this ungainly alliance could very well prove to be irrepairable and woe be unto those who might condone and contribute towards its manifestation as an alternative to the Rajapaksha Administration. Their incarcerations as culpable towards a disruption of the smooth functioning of Sri Lanka perhaps even mandatory as they then present themselves as enemies of the state and no better than the likes of public enemy number one Velupillai Prabhakaran himself!.

While some media pundits present Mahinda Rajapakse as a perturbed man which is an obvious misconception given his supreme confidence regardless of what has been thrown on his administrative plate by those who would prefer to see his downfall as opposed to his upliftment as a proud and patriotic son of Lanka, they also have the audacity to present Mangala Samaraweera and his ungainly consorts( a motley crew at best!) who were virtually dumped from their ministerial capacities dure to many irregularities sometime ago, as appearing confident when they should be quaking with the trauma of guilt as a result of their irresponsibilities towards their own community as well as the entire Nation of Sri Lanka based on their personal agendas and their idealogies should never be given any reckoning beyond the dangerous reprisals they could lead to in creating anarchy and unrest within the Nation!

Mangala Samaraweera in particular has been quoted in a recent press interview as saying that a change of regime was the ‘only alternative’ and claimed he was confident that 'over 90 per cent ' in the government were ready to join hands with him to free the country of what he described as a ‘vindictive and petty minded’ political leadership which might be more appropriate if the title was bestowed upon him rather than the President if even accidently thrust into this capacity. A famous wassail of the eternally defeated "have beens" of the past these are words with no tangible evidence or substance to back them up beyond being hollow sounding rhetoric typical of his disgruntled mentality where the Nation of Sri Lanka has to stand firm behind its prestigious present leader in supporting his policies and believeing in his drive towards creating a better Sri Lanka which are not based on pipe dreams!

Samaraweera by calling upon the international community to introduce ‘some form of sanctions’ on the Government for its allegedly" gross violations of human rights" has proved to be a betrayer of the Nation through lies and innuendo which are more speculative than real and has shamelessly revealed his own transparencies towards his own objectives! In prefering to character assassinate the President with the single motive of discrediting him in front of the Nation and the World, Samaraweera has also somewhat ludicrously emphasized in his own words that his immediate goal is to wrest the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) from the ‘Rajapakse brothers’ whom he refers to as the ‘Rajapakse quartet’ as though the Samaraweera / Sooriyaarachchi duo caprisoned with the likes of Wickremasinghe and Kumaratunga as anticipated embellishments to an ungainly political leadership consortium is any better! They could never restore any semblance of credibility beyond what has already been set in place by the present administration !They can only be described and viewed as being turncoats and traitors to the Sinhala Nation's cause which consequently encompases the needs of all ethnicities whose existence could well be thrown into further disarray should this newly formed alliance of pretenders sans credibility be given any recognition!!.
