LTTE That Much Closer To Their Nemesis By Targetting Diplomats In A High Flying Helicopter Over The Wanni !

It comes as a strange coincidence that a helicopter carrying the US Ambassador to Sri lanka accompanied by his Italian counterpart were shelled by the LTTE as they toured the North. Ironically, just days ago the US ambassador, part of the helicopter entourage was quoted as saying that the LTTE needed to be negotiated with by way of a parallel dialogue in conjunction with a military solution which he scoffed at as being foolhardy and unattainable and now perhaps he realises through first hand experience why the LTTE need to be eliminated in their entirety and cannot be trusted or granted privy to roam around unleashing even their most sporadic of attrocities which could prove to be lethal despite being subdued to a greater extent when compared to their attrocities of a few years ago !
There have been immediate denials of any knowledge by the LTTE of an impending diplomatic tour of the area they hide in which is irrelevant to the reality of reiterating from a Sri Lankan Administration's standpoint that "The Sovereign Nation of Sri Lanka is under no obligation to interact with any terrorist group about the movements of diplomats in any part of its territory. Where there is substantial information which iindicates that the LTTE were well aware of the time and date of the conference organized by the Government Agent to discuss with the diplomats, important issues related to the re-settlement of the internally displaced persons. The LTTE also knew of the details of the diplomats being flown in for the conference relative to ther itinerary which is somewhat surprising as this information would be confidential and classified for obvious security reasons. This is leading many to wonder if there was inside information leaked out to the LTTE which would not come as any surprise given the skulduggery which has been taking place in recent times!
It also focuses on the ongoingly popular attempts by the Tamil Diaspora and LTTE supportives to coin sympathy for the LTTE in saying to the International Community, the EU etc. that the LTTE are being indiscriminately set upon by the Government of Sri Lanka in an attempt to isolate them from the Tamil Community. This will ostracize them particularly in the North and East of Sri Lanka which incorporates this area where this attack on the diplomatic carrying helicopter was took place and that the Tigers have denied any responsibility. Furthest from the truth as all indications are that this was a well planned and carefully orchestrated move by the LTTE where the diplomats have had a close call. If there is any credibility to the theory that this was an isolated incident then it brings into focus another reality that the terrorists are indiscriminately targeting anyone and everyone with no regard for civilian casualties where once again the focus of the international community would stand to their detriment and needs expediting towards affirmatinve action against the LTTE.
While the dragnet around the criminally liable LTTE gets tighter there can be no room for any speculations towards any legalities involved in the attrocities of the terrorists. All the world's democratic and freedom loving nations committed to ridding the globe of the evils of terrorism which of course brings to centre stage that often highlighted group known as the International Community, under reference here which must spare no thoughts of conciliations nor sympathies towards the LTTE, on the basis that they have had their chances and time's run out on them. The IC's condemnations of this worthless group of terrorists must ensure their demolition as the axis of evil in Sri Lanka with cogs around the world also needing to be incapacitated beyond redemption.
This particularly heinous criminal act targetting diplomats is just cause towards searching and destroying evey pocket of LTTE activity both in Sri Lanka and overseas. Any neglect of the issue could easily spur on the Dutch courage of the terrorists who are now on the run fleeing from the Armed Forces.
Their surprise attacks stem from hidden pockets of resistance in the jungles of the Wanni and if the Sri Lankan Armed Forces continue their relentless pursuit of the terrorists. It would be a matter of time before both the International community, their diplomatic representatives and the nation of Sri Lanka could breathe easy and get on with their tasks and lives with no impediments from the LTTE terrorists.This needs to be an axiom towards a better Sri Lanka and a safer region of South Asia notwithstanding of course the needs of the world towards protection from terrorism!
The LTTE have proved on more than one occassion that they are always given to attacking innocent civilian targets. In this case a team of diplomats with compassionate and benevolent aspirations towards the well being of the poor and displaced persons of the areas they were in surveillance of where mercifully they have not been harmed and hence the avoidance of dire ramifications by way of an International Incident.
Once their crimes have been perpetrated the next predictable LTTE ploy has been blatant denials or pinning the blame on extraneous sources for their crimes" which the world has now come to terms with as a fact of life within Sri Lanka.
This is all the more reason why no sympathies towards the benefit of any doubt is deserving of these mendacious killers who stop at nothing towards acheiving their unattainable objectives.The people of Sri Lanka in turn should scoff at the pontifications of individuals in high places who try to spare a modicum of sympathy for them which probably was manifest by the presence of some who were travelling in this almost ill fated helicopter. Hinting at reservations in how to deal with the LTTE which has very nearly bounced back on them!!!
In summation it has to be noted that a very prominet leader of an equally prominent moderate Tamil Political party has sent out a clear message to the world as well as its representations within the international community that they have to take note of the prevailing situation in the North and East of Sri Lanka. They should neither be taken for a ride by the LTTE propaganda campaigns nor palaver to their needs which are terrorist related but take stern and severe actions against them.
He has also cited with obviously verifiable proof, the shockingly alarming anomaly of NGO 's filtering financial aid into areas contaminated by the LTTE terrorist presence and the manner these funds have been forcibly apprehended and misapropriated by the LTTE towards maintaining and refurbishing their terrorist means.
It has been emphasized that the moral duty of the international community, which is concerned about the humanitarian issues, should be to help the people in these areas to regain their lost freedoms and peace which is an obvious reference to those of the freedom loving Tamil Community whose rights to their existences are also mirrored by the rights of all other communities within a united Sri Lanka.
Perhaps the targetting of Diplomats flying high in a helicopter has projected the LTTE that much closer to their nemesis as their infamy reaches the preceptions of people in every part of the free world that they have a date with their destiny and justice and are indeed the scourge of Sri Lanka and South Asia!
