When A Group Of Indian Politicos
Declare Sri Lanka A Rogue State, It Is High handed Rhetoric Contrary
To The Policies Of The Indian Government!
October3rd 2008
When A bunch of misguided and frustrated, cacaphonous Indian politicos
whose credibilities as dissenters and fomentors of racial disharmony
through meddling into the internal affairs of Sovereign Sri Lanka suggets
that Sri Lanka under President Mahinda Rajapaksha has become a rogue
state for its continued military action against the Tamils on the island
nation, they need to be taken to task for their high handed accusations,
educated towards the realities and reprimanded for their contentious
rhetoric. They also need to be categorically and emphatically informed
that the Sri Lankan Government is not taking military action against
the Tamils which is a totally fabricated myth suggesting myopia or irresponsibility
on the part of the accusers! It is the terrorist group the Liberation
Tigers of Tamil Eelam that are being targetted rather than the Tamils
of Sri Lanka!
These protestations are in deference to the Indian Government's diplomatic
stance about relations with Sri Lanka, being a loyal ally and totally
aware that the LTTE once posed a security threat not only to Sri Lanka
but the entire region of South Asia, perhaps even to the world if they
were permitted proliferation and expansion! India has not forgotten
also that it was the LTTE who were responsible for the assassination
of Rajive Gandhi a much loved leader and hence what seems to be a union
of voices in the wilderness of misconception effectively needs to be
silenced!
When CPI national secretary D Raja inaugurating a fast organised in
a major Indian city on Thursday by the CPI, along with other political
parties, in support of Tamil Eelam, which more realistically is the slogan
carried by the Sri Lankan based terrorist group the LTTE, rather than
the freedom loving Tamil Community, it becomes fairly obvious that their
accusations against the Government are not legit and need to be stifled
with the true facts surrounding the issue.
It is not only false and contentious but also fabricative and high
handed rhetoric when Raja suggests that "the Rajapaksha Government
has always talked about military solutions to the ethnic problem, unmindlful
of its consequences. and that this has only made Rajapaksha turn into
a dictator" The fact of the matter is, the Rajapaksha Administration
having tried every option available to negotiate with the LTTE has eventually
realised its futility, the LTTE terrorists being a group of non negotiable
conscienceless terrorists and had chosen very correctly to eliminate
them as a scourge to the independent, Sovereign Democracy Sri Lanka
is, while also assuring all her citizens including the Tamils that their
grievances will be addressed once the terrorists are eliminated and
that every attempt will be taken to safeguard them.
This decision has been taken with much deliberation and in favour of
all freedom loving citizens of Sri Lanka and as it becomes evident,
including her minority Tamils most of whom are now in agreement that
the LTTE do not represent them or their best interests and therefore
they no longer support their terrorist acitivities. This has given more
than an incidental incentive to the Sri Lankan Administration to take
the necessary steps to rid the Island Nation of its terrorist scourge
which has the support of all nations plagued with terrorism around the
world.
It needs to be reiterated therefore that the Sri Lankan Government
and its Armed Forces are now engaged in a campaign to eliminate terrorism
from the nation and are not conducting a war of attrition against the
Tamil community as falsely portrayed by the likes of Raja and others
such as CPI state secretary D Pandian, Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra
Kazhagam (MDMK) supremo Vaiko, Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagams
(DMDK) Panruti Ramachandran, P Nedumaran of Tamil Desiya Iyakkam and
Puthiya Tamilagams K Krishnasamy who are known to be constant
agitators against the Government of Sri Lanka whose pro- LTTE chants
are not given much credibility by even their Government in India at
times however swayed by certain loyalties to the State of Tamil Nadu
albeit to all appearances token!
At the present the Government of Sri Lanka and the Armed Forces are
well on the path to victory over the terrorists and it's hard to comprehend
what these protestations are about although it is possible they are
related to a wrongful interpretation of the issue where the dissentive
Indian agitators against the Government of Sri Lanka who have made these
protestations need to be advised that they are barking up the wrong
tree and that their objectives are being viewed around the world as
terrorist supportive rather than one towards protecting Sri lankan Tamils
which is the bounden duty of the Sri Lankan Administration which has
indeed taken all necessary steps towards this responsibility.
