The So Called 'Warning By The LTTE' Better Interpreted As A Baring Of Fangs By A Cornered Terror Outfit Which Has Been Dealt Crucial Body Blows By The Armed Forces.

January 6th, 2008

In their egregiously obstreperous manner intertwined with their usual defiant mentalities and totally unfazed by the recent setbacks the Tamil Tigers are continuing to face at the hands of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces they are reported to have warned of a retaliatory escalation in their 'military' offensive ( better worded as Terrorist offensive) against the Sri Lankan Government and its decision to push forward relentlessly to eliminate them.

They have even had the nerve to berate India and other Nations which view Sri Lanka's response to terrorism as legitimate sublimely unconcerned about what the world now perceives as an internal armed criminal insurrection as opposed to a freedom struggle on an ethnic basis, the furthest from the truth and something which cannot realistically exist within Sovereign Sri Lanka where the ethnic group in question the Sri Lankan Tamils or a greater part thereof from a majority perspective are not conducive towards a so called Tamil liberation led by the deranged psychotic Velupillai Prabhakaran in their best interests knowing fully well what the reprisals for them would be!

In a somewhat deflated manner the LTTE have also stated that "The international community has been vacillating in taking decisive actions on Sri Lanka because they are unable to relate their own interests to the chaotically unfolding political and anticipation regarding what fate awaits them while also indicating a degree of confusion about what may be a logical response to the Government of Sri Lanka's resolve to break their back as a terrorist organization which their defiance is indicative of.

There has never been any indication of a willingness to lay down arms and relent their idealogies towards secession if their concerns were for the Tamil Community's well being and it is all the more reason why the Sri Lankan Armed Forces should go at them relentlessy until they capitulate to the demands of a Sovereign Nation which has no interest in protecting the rights of a bunch of nefarious terrorists albeit implicitly concerned about protecting the rights of all its law abiding citizens regardless of their ethnicities!

In an expression of frustration perhaps which can be only analysed as a somewhat half hearted bleat tantamount to a dying gasp prior to their elimination a senior LTTE operative considered to be the outfit's ideologue and spokesperson for the LTTE K. Balakumaran has said that "Only the demonstration of military strength by the Tigers can bring clarity to the situation and get the international community to correctly relate their interests and assertively engage in the crisis."

So what is this 'Military Strength these degenerates are talking about when they are currently running helter skelter in the jungles of the Wanni in Northern Sri Lanka looking for places to hide as the Armed Forces are continuing to launch deadly accurate strikes against them? Could they perchance be misguidedly confusing their sporadic cowardly attacks on innocent civilians and wounded armed personnel being transported to hospitals as this military strength of theirs or is it another barrage of their verbal defiance at a time when they realistically should either surrender to the Armed Forces or swim for it towards their alter haven Tamil Nadu in quest of their Utopic Tamil Eelam! Is their 'military' spokesperson Rasiyah Illyanthiran also preparing his latest barrage of baldedash about LTTE strengths and capabilities or contemplating swimming the Palk Straight himself?

The so called 'warning by LTTE' better interpreted as a baring of fangs by a cornered terror outfit which has been dealt huge setbacks with the killing of its political wing chief S P Thamilselvan and intelligence leader 'Colonel' Charles considered by many to be body blows! comes days after the Sri Lankan Government's decision to withdraw from the Ceasefire Agreement entered into by a vey imperceptive previous administration led by a myopic Prime Minister whose Memorandum of Understanding with the LTTE along with a Ceasefire Agreement which belittles even a betting slip at a local bookie for credibility in February 2002 became more nation destructive than beneficial.

The Sri Lankan Government led by President Mahinda Rajapaksha appears to have made the right choice in a very realistic and practical sense to abrogate this worthless peace agreement and ceasefire which only provided the means for the LTTE to regroup whereas it may have been more practical and a better alternative for the Wickremasinghe Administration at the time to have initiated the relentless measures of the present which have taken a long time coming to overwhelm them ! And perhaps also, it is with the cognizance of the end of the line being very apparent to them that the LTTE are uttering cowardly threats which in any case they don't seem to be capable of carrying out to the degree of the so called military retaliation they profess to be planning where nonetheless the vigilance and preventive measure to counter even the slightest threat from them to the Nation needs to be prioritised!

The concept of dread apprehension by the LTTE about their uncertain future seems to have more than a degree of veracity through their entreaties to the international community including India, refered to by them as being indecisive in dealing with the Sri Lankan situation. But amidst all the LTTE threats intermingled with their paranoid bleatings to the international community nothing can be be taken for granted given the criminalities they are capable of and the Armed Forces need to go at them on the basis that the Harder They Are Hit The Quicker They Go Down! and go down they must! Not a single LTTE cadre must be left standing towards the posterity of Sri Lanka!
