The Vision Of The President On LTTE Predictabilities Towards Non-Acceptance Of Federalism Crystal Clear!

The crystal clear vision of the President of Sri Lanka combined with that of many separate International Organizations who have collectively maintained that the LTTE would never accept a Federal Solution to the Sri Lankan Peace Accord while condemning the indifferent attitude of the UNF Government which continues to tolerate LTTE attrocities which are now being perpetrated undercover and in violation of the stalled Peace Process and Ceasefire has to be heeded and remedial action taken before the situation changes direction should the LTTE be granted any further reprieves which they very presumtuously construe as the go ahead for further inroads towards their ultimate goals. Acceptance of a federal solution to the Sri Lankan Peace Issue by the LTTE has thereby been termed mythical in no uncertain terms by the President at a very significant juncture of Sri Lanka's progress towards the future!

Drawing attention to the manner in which the LTTE have conveniently bypassed responding to the present proposals towards a political solution where the Joint Political Committee formed at the inception of the Peace Talks seems to have been all but forgotten, She has observed the logical importance of the non response of the LTTE as a pointer towards a different agenda. In laymens terms this would probably translate to the reluctance of the LTTE towards accepting any Federal Package not in keeping with their right to continue in their present guise as it would eventually phase them out of contention towards falsely representing the Tamil Community where they would be forced to lay down thair arms and denounce all strategies and ideologies towards their terrorist and insurgent objectives and handing over the criminal element within their rank and file to be indicted for their crimes.

Short of ridiculing what many now believe is a meaningless proposal of an Interim Administration presently on record with no real solution entailed, relative to statistics, facts and figures the President has not minced her words in stating that neither the Wickremasinghe Administration nor the LTTE seem to have any clue about the final solution or outcome of what they are bickering over as Peace, pointing out that the Draft Proposals presented during the tenure of the People’s Alliance with her leadership which involved a devolution package was also opposed and turned down by the LTTE and perhaps cause enough to take the LTTE bull by the proverbial horns or drive a matadorial thrust into its heart in order to dispose of the long term insecurities which have prevailed thus far alongside the lasting peace where Peace is of the essence and hesitancies towards its eventuality based on the LTTE discontent and opposition totally unacceptable towards the continued well being of the Sinhala Nation as the impasse continues.

As expected and in keeping with the rationalities which would eventually formulate the climate of the Nation as been conducive and acceptable towards a realistic peace the Presidential conditions if presented on her terms suggest unequivocally the commitment to democracy, pluralism and human rights which the LTTE have thus far shown a rank disregard for, despite their flowery outporings of a verbal nature presented by some of the LTTE idealogues which thus far have amounted to little of any significance, being pure rhetoric with no commitment to the real issue in a democratic sense where only the metaphor stands out.

Consequently there has been a sudden increase of International and National agitation over the inconsistencies of LTTE commitments to the Peace Process where the violation of human rights and the nefarious means of political assassinations combined with the many other excesses of infamy the nation encounters on a near daily basis which the LTTE have been hallmarked for and continue unabated together with all their modus operandi which have never been detracted from and a shameful lapse in the responsibilities of the incumbent administration which has surreptitiously tolerated all LTTE activities within the vacuum of a so called Peace Process and Ceasefire far removed from their logical identities.

Perhaps a time for the Administration to rally round the only means to assert Sri Lanka’s future as one with promise through National Unity, whilst heeding the wisdom of the President where the Sinhala Nation will be joined together as one in an unshakable Union of its sons and daughters while incorporating all its minorities as part of a mosaic which will expunge all undesirable elements who merely create hurdles and impasses toward progress and the LTTE can be envisioned as none other!!
