Once again the Government of Sri Lanka is paying a price for being overly conciliatory and tolerant of Velupilliai Prabhakaran( possibly his theatrical double) and his low life cronies as the LTTE continue to infiltrate into Sinhala territory where their brazenness has once again surfaced with the latest cowardly attack in Kandy on Special Task Force Police Training Chief Officer Upul Seneviratne who has paid the ultimate price! LankaWeb offers deepest sympathies to his family. One of his officers Const.Adhikari who was accompanying him is now in critical condition in hospital where it is hoped he will recover from his ordeal.

Although the warning signs keep growing that it is high time the LTTE were cornered and taken to task wherever they are known to exist and prevented from further propagation of their resources of terrorism as one would eradicate a plague with the consideration that these are no real representatives of the Tamil Community but a bunch of murderous inhumane thugs who have no respect for any democracy, human life or public property the Government continues its lip service towards a negotiated settlement of what now seems to be a pipe dream in as far as bringing the LTTE to the bargaining table in the present climate of unrest where even the dignity of Foreign Aid workers specifically clad to indicate their status is not spared as seen by the merciless massacre of 16 Workers of the French Aid Organization "Action Against Hunger" which organization has now withdrawn their facility in disgust. These attrocities have come in the wake of another repugnant attack on innocent civilians slaughtered in an LTTE rocket attack on a hospital in the Mutur region.Actions must speak louder than words from a Government standpoint not only to restore the water supply to Mavil Aru but also to assure the people of Sri Lanka that they will never be intimidated by the devil's advocates spewing mayhem and murder at liberty!

Suddenly Norway's duplicity too has once again emerged to cloud any possible chance of a real resolution to the problem which really needs a complete and well co-ordinated search and destroy operation rather than tolerating the Tamil Tigers triggering major incidents that escalate violence within the land as of late and specifically with direct reference to the Mavil Aru incident in addition to the shooting of the STF Chief and the NGO Workers.

It is becoming quite apparent that Eric Solheim LTTE sympathiser and 'intermediary extraordinaire for the particular brand of Tiger Terrorism that seems to have acquired a specific hallmark i.e. no respect for humanity, the laws of the land and maintaining a criminal image as though they have a mandate to do so with a mission to see the Fait Acompli of Eelam and its objectives served at any cost is playing a major role towards their cause!! Whilst continuing to hang around Sri Lanka like an ill wind which brings no fortunes except misery and anguish whenever he surfaces, once again he has had the affront to pressure the Administration to cow down to the impure and illegal LTTE demands while portraying to the more suceptible within the international community that it is the Sri Lankan Administration which is in the wrong and at fault for all the misery and pain being inflicted on the people of Sri Lanka today and that the LTTE have a right to recognition as the projected charade progresses from the sublime to the ridiculous! Dangerous terrorists he seems to have forgotten, are in need of elimination rather than consorted with and in doing so makes Solheim a terrorist himself as the logical interpretation!

While the more discerning people of Sri Lanka are sick and tired of Solheim’s shenanigans the Government most incredibly still embraces the Norwegians and Solheim in particular who have little to offer Sri Lanka by way of a realistic peace and as long as this scenario continues and one can rest assured of the impossibility of any restitution to the Sri Lankan people which seems to be more far fetched and fast evaporating over the horizon and the President himself clutching at straws in sheer desperation despite the uncanny composure he maintains.

Once again innocent civilians have been targeted to cover up illegal activity in the region of Trincomalee and what has been observed by many as crimes against humanity which has been the common tactic of the Tamil tigers whose arrogant assumption of an illegal right to a de facto administration needs to be crushed and disposed of regardless of the rhetoric of the pundits who still carry a banner for negotiated peace as the tigers simply do not respond to kindness even in instinctive semblance of the wild animal they seem to name themselves after as these have been known to be tamable!! Their excuse that the Tamil people have been taking the law into their hands in the Tiger-controlled area and the motivation for all the heinous acts they have perpetrated bear testinomy to the fact that the LTTE are an evil entity motivated with devillish intent and reason enough for the ultimate massive offensive needing to be conducted to wipe them out in their entirety!

From all the lessons learned about their mendacity thus far, three decades far, to be exact it has to be a harsh reality that the LTTE can never co-exist with the People of Sri Lanka or humanity anywhere in the world and their entitlement to elimination therefore academic!
