Tamil Nadu Voices Against Sri Lanka Carry A Meaningless Message Which Is Not Only Pro Terrorist In Nature But Also An Instigation For India To Act Irresponsibly!

It is not to placate the LTTE that Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has announced that he will spend SLRs 3000 million ($ 27.27 million) towards the rehabilitation of the youth, children and women of the war-torn Tamil-speaking Northern Province, including LTTE cadre who lay down arms but merely an assurance of his confidence that the LTTE will be defeated and what he intends to do thereafter.The writing's surely on the wall to this effect and not to be interpreted by all the wrong sources for all the wrong reasons and primarily that it is an act of 'placation' which is the furthest from the truth!

Sri Lanka's adversaries particularly within the overseas diaspora as well as those 'big hooters' in Tamil Nadu such as Karunanidhi and his motley crew who have recently made a big stink purely in favour of the LTTE terrorist should be implicitly informed that current Sri Lankan Government policy as always does entail the welfare of all citizens including innocent children, women and youth living LTTE infiltrated areas, and the rehabilitation of all citizens including LTTE members who renounce the LTTE and reach out to the Government of Sri Lanka, a magnanimous gesture towards making them useful citizens beneficial to the society rather than being Nation destructive and consequently self destructive despots.
It is of paramount importance that President's proposal to make an additional allocation of Rs 3,000 million for this purpose, while presenting the budget for 2009 as well as a further allocation of Rs 500 million to the Ministry of Resettlement to carry out resettlement in the North is a decision which has surely confounded all the theories put forward by his critics in Tamil Nadu that the Sri Lankan Tamils are imperiled by the Central Administration while urging for a never materialising intervention by the Indian Government where it has been made very clear by President Rajapaksha that there is a huge disparity between his unwavering responsibilities towards protecting all citizens from the mendacities of the LTTE which includes Tamils and what the Tamil Nadu politicians are trying to falsely portray.The Indian Government in all wisdom has foreseen the reality and veracity of this and has pledged the fullest support towards Sri Lanka's cause (perhaps noting national as well as regional implications) which is one relative to the elimination of terrorists rather than the paranoid concept that it is directed against Tamils!

There is of course the expection that the current Security Forces drive in the North will completely liberate areas in the North still within the sporadic infiltrations of the LTTE as the Armed Forces search and destroy operations from ground, air and sea are systematically annihilating them -a view shared by many military analysts as well as foreign observers where President Mahinda, Rajapaksa has announced that in the aftermath a special development programme for the region which he has profoundly christened "Uthuru Wasanthaya" will be set in place.

Beyond the inference of any placation to appease the terrorists, it must be borne in mind by those who attempt to distort facts towards bringing disrepute to the Government of Sri Lanka while also waving flags for the terrorist cause on the cockamanie excuse that the Sri Lankan Tamils are an endangered species within Sri Lanka an unfounded myth! it is the Government of Sri Lanka which will be the ultimate saviour of all the people oppressed and threatened by the viles of LTTE terrorism, not India, nor Tamil nadu and least of all the Tamil diaspora still pumping in resources albeit unsuccessfully at best towards supplementing the terrorist arsenal of the LTTE and the Government's task is that much more compounded by the illicit interferences it has to face in the process and towards objectives!

While the intensities of the yelling and screaming from Tamil Nadu seems to have softened somewhat after stringent measures were imposed by the Indian Government towards quelling them India must never be sentimentally swayed by the propaganda campaigns set in place to ridicule and discredit Sri Lanka regardless of how many Tamil Nadu votes depend on its well being as then there will be a compromising of principles bearing the greater priority towards Regional Security over a meaningless public outcry welling from pro-terrorist quarters! The ramifications of which could be disastrous towards the credibilities of India as a democratic superpower and an ally of Sri Lanka!
