The LTTE Command No Privileges Nor Rights To Restitution And Need To Be Dealt With Appropriately!

As much as fortunes towards the Peace Process being eventually etched in stone appear diminished towards effective realities notwithstanding the handshakes, Cheshire cat grins, the perusing of firearms and contraband through official and unofficial means it is a simple reflection upon the reality that the Tamil tigers ably assisted by their proxies and other supportives while prefering to remain an unrelenting group towards their ambitions cannot be rehabilitated, democratised nor brought to their senses where effecting due process seems the only alternative remaining to the powers that be. No mean task but perhaps an essential one!

It is gradually beginning to sink in to the more discerning that no amount of dialogue or exchange of ideas seemingly beneficial to both parties involved in the peace negotiations will bring absolute resolution to the problem at hand, perhaps appreciably and temporarily at best. It is really upto all the forces which denounce and decry the activities, idealogies and mentalities of the LTTE to join hands to defeat them and wipe them off the map totally which seems Hobson's choice given the circumstances and all the related duplicitous factors the LTTE project as sincere and well intentioned towards the necessary pluralities and sensibilities while not forgetting that it is the only means towards their survival and hence the glorified portrayal of surreal sincerities!.

Foremost towards promoting the cause is the importance of the USA's recent hardline attitude of zero tolerance against the LTTE which it is hoped is one of continuity and that the USA maintains their Tiger berating stance where collective bans against the LTTE involving the USA, in like manner of the EU and other nations opposed to the modus operandi of the Tiger organization combined with imposing strict UN sanctions should send a clear message to them.

Rather than dancing to their tunes which seemed to be the case at the preliminary talks in Geneva where the tigers have returned to their enclaves smacking their chops about their successes, a concerted effort now has to be made by the powers that be to disillussion them that they are going nowhere except towards the end of the road hopefully sooner than later if their attitude does not change towards incorporating a decommissioning of weapons, denouncing separatist objectives invalidating de facto area acquisitions voluntarily rather than awaiting Governmental coercion while continuing their mendacious means, as of late veiled, on a journey which has never really digressed from the original one they embarked upon towards secession!

In the simplest of terms the LTTE who seem to have weakened after the Tsunami batterings to much of their resources need to be further weakened and their ambitions run to ground based upon the arrogance they have shown together with much disrespect towards the Sovereign Nation of Sri Lanka and its current leadership where they have no right whatsoever to demand restitution as long as they continue in the guise of fully armed terrorists who aren't even fully representative of the Tamil populace and simply believe so in pretense and through innuendo and their projected charades to attract the world at large.

Reflecting further upon the need to justify the Administration's progress towards this Fait Acompli it has to be acknowledged that the LTTE have boldly proclaimed their (self imposed)authority in parts of the North and East of Sri Lanka and as of late emphasized without legitimate means their intentions to further assert this claim almost as a direct challenge to the Rajapakse Leadership and appear headed for dire straits despite all the factors which in reality should discourage them but then, as such is LTTE arrogance despite the deck stacked heavily against them! There is even this latest statistical report compiled by intelligence sources that their real numbers are no more than a head count of 1900 + - verifiable cadre and their purported child recruitment continuation thereby relative to this reality.
The anti-LTTE forces within and without Sri Lanka now have a major role to play where to every degree possible they must prioritise a means to stress the importance of their presence and their strength towards the cause increased through unity and complete intolerance of everything linked to the LTTE. As an example of what they need to emphasize are the accomplishments of the LTTE over decades of fighting which has amounted to little or nothing beneficial to the Tamil Community per se other than to compound their distresses and estrange them further from the rest of the Nation earning a deep rooted hatred by some within their own community over the futilities of LTTE modus operandi !

That the LTTE therefore are enemies of the State is an understatement beyond all norms of rationality given the simple fact that they are terrorists despite their rhetoric and have no entitlements to any negotiated settlement which will simply augment their ego and continued aspirations and there should be a relentless pursuit by all world powers which uphold democracy and due process towards bringing these criminals to justice rather than providing them with platforms and Carte Blanche to acheive their objectives and augmenting global laughter which is bound to reverberate through every global community demanding a peaceful world order and awestruck at the leeway this particular group of proscribed terrorists seem to be having in Sri Lanka!
