Sri Lanka's Military Gains Are Indeed A Cause For Euphoria!
Here's Why!

Time to debunk the LTTE propaganda laced myth being broadcast by pro active LTTE supportives fighting a losing battle as much as their misguided ' tiger heroes' that " the huge military gains by the Sri Lankan Armed Forces are no cause for euphoria!" To the contrary, it is indeed a cause for great euphoria as well as jubilation that the miserable directionless LTTE terrorists are being routed and rent assunder as they have no place in Sri Lanka's run of the mill, day to day existences of her populace and to see them scattered like a drove of wild jackals running with their tails between their legs.

Obviously sufficient cause for the anguish and derision of their champions around the world linked to this misleading repartee of- namely the pro -Ltter Tamil diaspora whose funding for Sri Lankan terrorism has now been effectively cut off and most of their platforms for the cause ignominiously disrupted by a world more aware of their status as international terrorists whose modus operandi is now being linked to that of Al Quaeda and not freedom fighters fighting on behalf of freedom loving Tamils which is also a myth. For a greater part the more rational and democratic minded Tamils have denounced the criminalities of LTTE leader Velupillai Prabhakaran and have joined the ranks of those who want him apprehended and justice meted out to him and his degenerate cohorts for their crimes against humanity, so is this not cause for euphoria?

There is this concept by many pro LTTE propagandists that donor countries have pledged vast amounts of financial aid to Sri Lanka, but have criticised the Mahindra Rajapaksa Government's pursuit of a concerted military strategy against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam and its inadequate focus on a negotiated political settlement which belittles the reality of such a concept as there is no sane administration in the world (despite the valiant yet furile attempts by this present Administration) which would try to negotoaite with ruthless terrorists who prefer to continue their killing sprees against unarmed innocent civilians and a wasted effort. It can be safely concluded relative to any negotiated settlement that might have been, that Scandinavian monitored attempts towards a lasting peace starting with the botched Peace Process and Cease-fire too has become farcial albeit still official on paper. The main reason for this as investigations have revealed being the duplicity of the Norwegians who continued to champion the cause of the terrorists rather than the needs of the Sri Lankan Tamils and now that their secret agenda has been exposed which is an incredible tale of subterfuge, selfish motivation towards the spoils of natural resources and much more, the Government seems very justified in the push towards eliminating the tigers with a very forceful and well equiped thrust towards the cause and exemplary military leadership where the eventual defeat will also incorporate the viles of Norway and their supportives!

All this shop talk about the international community making it clear to the Sri Lankan authorities that conversion of an astronomical amount of aid pledges into hard cash will be dependent on the progress of the peace process seems rhetorical as a greater majority of the International Community now sees the LTTE in their true colours and the reason behind many world powers coming forwards without presumption to ban them outright although there are concerns for the civilian casualties that will undoubtedly result in as the push towards eliminating them continues but an unfortunately anomaly where the greater priority now appears to be ridding the nation permanently of the LTTE vermin while protecting as much as possible the civilians caught in a crossfire, evacuating them from harm's way and eventually handing over devolved power to sane, compassionate and rational minded Tamils under an assertive, intelligent, non megalomaniacal, murderous leadership who do not carry weapons nor indulge in all the criminalities the LTTE are hallmarked for! Something which does not take rocket science to figure out so who are these pundits attempting to disclaim Sri Lanka's euphoria which in reality is broadbased to incorporate perhaps more than two thirds of the population that the LTTE must surely be on their way out and there is indeed light at the end of the tunnel for all oppressed Tamils and the exasperated rest of Sri lanka's population?

There must never be any confusion or doubt that the stage is set in Sri Lanka for all her ethnicities to share power towards the future and every aspect of posterity but power sharing and devolution involving unrelenting, fully armed terrorists who are even at the present time conniving to overrun the Sri Lankan Armed Forces despite its futile and pipe dream nature seems a concept which goes from the sublime to the ridiculous and if anyone in their right frame of mind truly believed it would expand the development horizons for the country, with higher aid and private capital inflows, and accelerate development of conflict affected and other lagging regions they perhaps need psychiatric evaluation." Accelerate a few things!" it would indeed and far removed from development where the Nation would probably sink into a quagmire of anarchy where what happened in the Balkans would seem pale by comparison where mercifully sanity eventually prevailed as the greater proportion of murderous criminal responsible for that tragedy were apprehended and tried for crimes against humanity! There are positive signs that what 's unfolding in Sri Lanka today bears a resemblance to the Anti Balkanization of all of South Asia with the immeasurable successes of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces where Sri Lanka's friendly giant to the south in utter preponderance over whay seems visibly compelling has precious nothing to add as compensation or support beyond lip service for what Sri lanka is trying to accomplish for the entire region as one which is completely terrorist free, though it is bound to join in the celebrations and perhaps request Prabhakaran's head on a platter once the Fait Accompli manifests itself as a huge success!

Hence there is much cause for jubilation and euphoria that the Sri Lankan Armed Forces have made substantial gains with the use of its Air Force, to capture most of the LTTE strongholds in the East and made it virtually impossible for the Tigers to supply their bases in Batticoloa, Trincomalee, and even their Northern strongholds bracing perhaps for that final assault. Sri Lanka's Catch 22 situation next surfaces regretably where over 200,000 people have been displaced in the Northeast during the past six months and the sooner the LTTE are driven out of these areas the quicker will be that much needed restitution and recussitation for the oppressed and long suffering people of these areas! A pledge which has been made by the Commander of the Armed Forces Lieut.Gen. Sarath Fonseka a man of his world and someone well equipped to carry out his promises!

To those who insist Sri Lanka has no claim to euphoria over the systematic elimination of the LTTE which is becoming more and more tangible by the day, a message needs to be sent out to change their trend of thought together with their viewing apparatus which seems to contribute towards myopic vision where they also need to view the magnanimity of the Sri Lankan president who has certainly been fair and impartial ere the concerted assaults on the LTTE commenced as a last resort towards breaking the will of the mendacious terrorists they are with a single agenda of separation in mind! One which now does not even have the backing of the majority of Tamils whom they falsely claim to represent but in reality want no part of Prabhakaran leadership!

The world at large which also incorporates the "International Community" often alluded to falsely and reprehensibly as LTTE sympathetic towards" the injured party" by many reactionary forces hell bent on denigrating the Sri Lankan Administration has to be made aware that Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa has never deviated from his resolute attempts to be conciliatory to the LTTE perhaps wrongfully so considering their terrorist guise and requested them to renounce violence, lay down arms and negotiate to evolve a political solution. A ridicule laden scorning of his offer being the only LTTE response by spokespersons such as Illyanthiran and Thamilselvam, the President quite naturally and mostly authoritatively being the Chief Executive Officer of Sovereign Sri Lanka appears quite justified in having taken the stance in the best interests of Sri Lanka in deciding to pursue them relentlessly and put them down on the rationale that~They have after all become an intolerable and unnecessary evil! It is a well known fact that he had made a similar offer previously, where the LTTE had also responded with ridicule and have now paid a heavy price for their misgivings where the penalties will undoubtedlty be far greater in the long run!
