In the continuing saga of being soiled and tarnished by an unwelcome terrorist presence the Sovereign Nation of Sri lanka has suffered yet another terrorist attack!

In the aftermath of the latest cowardly suicide bomb attack on a Police Station in Vavuniya today it can only be surmised that the LTTE are surely indicating their desperate scramble for survival and a last gasp which the Armed Forces Leaders have often pointed to and the end for the terrorists must surely be very near as every attack against Sovereign Sri Lanka by the Tamil Tiger terrorist carries a heavy price for them as the counter attacks by the Armed Forces are deadly and concerted.

As though it is of any consequence it has been reported that rebel spokesman Rasiah Ilanthirayan could not be reached immediately for comment but who in the name of sanity gives a damn whether it be Velupillai Prabhakaran or Rasiah Illanthirayan that are unavailable for comment? Their inavailability will be a permanent one as predicted by the powers that be in Sri Lanka at a time when great vigilance and a joining of hands of all forces both politically, administratively and militarily are needed to crush the LTTE where no quarters need be given and any opposition to the concept from within or without Sri Lanka needing confrontation towards incarceration more than ever before! The need and resolve of Sri Lanka to defeat the terrorists in their entirety has probably never been higher or better focussed towards the task!

It is almost commonplace news in Sri Lanka today when one is made aware that a suspected Tamil Tiger suicide bomber on a motorbike blew himself up Monday near a police building in a northern Sri Lankan town, killing 12 police officers and wounding 23 other people where it is not the vile cowardice of the deed that is more apparent than the regularity which such violations against a democratic society is perpetrated almost with impunity as the punishment for the crime initially is the blowing up of the bomber albeit the greater incarceration awaits the ringleaders of the terrorists. somehow there also seems a curious blemish in National Security which seems to afford the means for the terrorists to carry out their sporadic attacks and time appropriate to cast aside any reservations about how terrorist infiltrations are prevented from further recurrence saying "TO Hell With The Public Outcry From Some Quarters About How The Nation Is Cleansed Of Its Prevailing Evil Where All Stops Now Need To be Pulled Towards Accomplishing The Task! If This Is indeed A War, Then All's Fair In Love And War Where The Love Needs To be Shelved For Afters Until The Enemy Is Defeated! If Areas Need To be Secured Through Whatever Means To Rid Them Of Terrorists So Be It! Forget Sentimentalities, Or Pay the Price! as exhorted by the Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) recently.

This is a time with just cause for all the world to view with disdain and contempt the very existence of the Tamil Tigers and help the cause of Sri Lanka's all out effort to eliminate them WHILE CLAMPING DOWN HEAVILY ON THOSE WHO SUPPORT THEIR CAUSE.There have been mere token gestures by the USA and the EU "to ban them completely" with Canada giving a substantial albeit partial nod towards the cause equitable also the parenthesis and the United Kingdom still shamefully tolerating them and the British media often upholding their laments and crocodile tears steeped in unmitigated bias with hardly a worthwhile admonishment, condemnation or concern for the pain and suffering inflicted by these wretched examples of humanity on innocent civilians.

Then there are other Nations who are critical of the Tamil Tiger organization but have held back their outspoken involvement towards the cause for various anomalous reasons and regrettable as their input towards the magnitude of the cause is indispensable and imperative and needs to be garnered towards the worthy cause!

It also needs to be highlighted towards realities for those unaware of the truth that an insurgency since 1983 to create an independent homeland for Sri Lanka's ethnic minority Tamils with no real mandate nor reason towards the objective.Factually the Tamils are less than 12 % of the Nations population and mostly residuals of imported Indian Labour by the British during the days of Colonialism and vestiges of feudal invadors of a Dravidian origin prior to that in quest of greener pastures who have been assimilated into Sri Lanka's mainstream society granting them every right as a citizen by the graciousness of the Majority Sinhalese who are an overwhelming 80% or more by way of percentage of the Nations population ( after the last census and statistics survey) and to assume they have "faced decades of marginalization by governments controlled by majority ethnic Sinhalese" a fallacy which overlays the falsely presented picture to the world that they are being oppressed by the majority Sinhalese and obviously false Tamil Tiger Propaganda at times denied and at times exhorted by the Tamils themselves often caught in a crossfire of confusion and forcible intimidations initiated by the terrorists towards expressing loyalties whether under duress or not!
Today however there seems to be a surge of realization towards the futility of Tamils supporting the Tiger Terrorists as they have proved on many an occasion their draconian and cruel means towards establishing their agendas and maintaining their illegal status quo and the Tamils themselves have distanced themselves in great proportions from the criminalities and mendacity of the LTTE who have no platform to justify their existences as champions of the Tamils!

That the Armed Forces with ground to air manouvres of deadly accuracy have been carrying out a powerful tour de force is indicative of every measure of success beyond speculation for the past few months to push into the rebels' hideouts in the north from four fronts.

The Government has promised to capture the rebel territory by the end of this year and the sooner the World unites towards lending Sovereign Sri Lanka a helping hand to maintain her Sovereignity and Territorial Integrity which cannot be compromised towards destruction by the whims of a directionless group of terrorists and those engaged in supporting them towards their own agendas, the better it would be towards the posterity of a once beautiful and tranquil land, in parts renderd wasteful and devastated by an unwelcome terrorist presence which needs to be removed and a normal order restored!
