It seems truly amazing that the insurgents of the LTTE continue their bragging despite the hammering they are taking both physically at the hands of the Sri Lankan Armed Forces as well as through the supportive voicings of many world powers totally opposed to their terrorist existence and modus operandi where they continue to maintain their pretended bravado with hardly any resources by comparison to the Armed Forces by far.In the same breath thay have also pleaded with the International Community to intervene towards mediatory talks as reported in the Associated Press! caution needs to be exercised as the Nation's Administration and Armed Forces should by now be well aware of what this could be tantamount to considering their fully armed terrorist status!

Consequently to talk about "unleashing their 'full capacity"'if Government Forces try to take their strongholds in Northern Sri Lanka according the insurgents main mouthpiece Thamilselvam who hardly has the courage to hobble out of his hideout without his cane could be made to sound like a lot of hot air if the Administration's moves towards preventive and remedial action to ward off any insurgent threat are set in place and conducted wisely. It could very well be accomplished with some help from friends and neighbours together with the backing of many international sources who hold the LTTE as a contentious bunch of cowardly, murderous, degenerate sub-humans with no consciences nor compassion for their fellow human beings while loosely calling themselves representatives of the Tamils which now has a hollow ring to it!

In recent times the insurgent LTTE have got away with phenomenal luck with their attacks on the Colombo Airbase while paying a heavy price for the retaliatory attacks by the Army for this apathetic criminal act against a Sovereign Nation and beyond that their only means of inflicting what they call 'losses' are visibly their cowardly attacks on innocent civilians in villages, planting roadside bombs to blow up vehicles transporting civilians and unarmed personnel where this is the only 'measure of their full capacity' these cowardly dregs of humanity are talking about and once again the felt need for the Armed Forces to search and destroy them becomes avital one and must continue in full cry until not a single miserable scourge of the LTTE is left standing.

The recent comments of terrorist spokesperson S.P. Tamilselvan publicized by the Associated Press, and heaven knows for what purpose beyond spreading LTTE propaganda almost seems in defiance of what Sri Lanka's top defense official Lieut.Gen.Sarath Fonseka has said with reference to the country's collapsed cease-fire which never had any consequence from the time it was initiated by a previous prime minister with an agenda towards his own political future and realistically had no meaning as it only provided a cover for the terrorists to rebuild their resources but thankfully due to military efficiency, administrative perception and intervention which gathered momentum with the support the cause had globally towards securing Sri Lanka's Sovereign and Territorial integrity, the objectives shortlived for the terrorists where more than their pride and ego have been injured with much more to follow should they persist towards pursuing terrorist objectives!

It has now indeed become a truism said in the not too distant past by the powers that be that the military would go after the Tigers' heartland which they have done effectively smashing to smithereens many LTTE enclaves in the East while now preparing for a major onslaught in the North so what is the LTTE mouthpiece so incoherently trying to suggest in saying that" If the worst thing comes, of course then Colombo and its chauvinistic forces will realize what the full capacity of the LTTE is and the impact would be very serious,'' where Tamilselvan knows fully well this is meaningless rhetoric expressing no more than their perceived anxieties, apprehensions and frustrations with nowhere to run or turn to! Not even Tamil Nadu whose moderates now view the LTTE with circumspect derision.

The LTTE at this point in their existence could never substantiate such rhetoric as uttered to the Associated Press knowing fully well they are earmarked for annihilation where the final fury would be so fearsome they would be better off giving up their worthless objectives and finding a secure hidingplace rather than waste the valuable time of the Associated Press who can only broadcast to the world the information provided by the verbiage of the protagonists of terror to their own advantage where none of their broadcast information seem to have much in common with the realities involved or confirmable to any real effect beyond a baring of fangs by the beasts their informants profess to be!

It has to be brought to the attention of everyone concerned that the manner in which the likes of Tamilselvam and another LTTE henchman of his who calls himself a 'military' representative, the deluded illussionist Illyanthiran another terrorist in hiding! full of Dutch courage when he bares his fangs and rattles his teeth from his jungle hideout is an affront to rational thought at this stage of the conflict.To suggest mediation through talks where they all but turned their backs on the invitations of several Administrations to this very objective depicts the terrorists once again in all probabilities trying to buy time where a willingness to sit down again for peace talks in the face of all their high faluting bragging seems a huge contradiction.

There is also a ring of irony and a trace of humour here that in the same breath they have vowed to continue attrocities while they have also urged the international community to step in to broker an end to the fighting. Why? one must ask here and why the duplicitous double standard if their might to overcome the Armed forces and a democratic Sovereign nation is so assured? Or is it because they see the end on the horizon where any means to their survival sounds justifiable knowing their past track record.

Once again the presumption albeit one with certain risks involved has to be that the LTTE are in a desperate last ditch stand for survival and it becomes an almost mandatory objective for the Armed Forces using all the resources and at this stage, even the assistance proferred by the Karuna Faction which should see to it that the drive towards wiping out the LTTE has to continue in the best interests of the Nation and the region. Giving them breathing space could be a grave error where eliminating them as armed terrorists is the prerogative of a Sovereign Nation and blessed will be all the allies who support this need for Sri Lanka casting aside the rhetoric towards any mediatory overtures which the LTTE quite enjoy as they invariably view it as a means to regroup!
