The President Needs Strength And Support Towards The Cause Of Eliminating the Terrorists Not Road Blocks!

Despite the continued efforts of a seedy opposition to discredit the Mahinda Rajapaksha Administration it has to acknowledged that it has indeed done much to appease the Nation and towards fortifying its overall sense of well being and security and that it will never be divided on an ethnic basis and whatever shortcomings there may be are subject to redressing once the Nation is liberated from terrorism. As the saying goes "all in good time and first things first" where the people of Sri Lanka perhaps some of the most resilient, patient and perceptive in the world need to bear with the Administration just a little longer until the relentless drive to defeat the LTTE militarily is completed.

In a rational sense it would seem meaningless to focus only on the immediate needs of the Nation alone as the LTTE being as mendacious and ruthless as they are will always attempt to disrupt and disorganize whatever is set in place towards the well being of the Nation as this is the only idealogy they are left with in the face of the impending annihilation and they have proved this as their main agenda beyond a doubt time and time again.That they are a cancer to the Nation which must be removed effectively is an understatement!

The Nation must be made to fully understand the their needs have been effectively diluted or pre-empted mainly due to the scourge of terrorism although the fallout of Administrative mismanagement and opportunism which has prompted the lining of pockets over the needs of the Nation does have a ring of truth to it and perhaps relative to all administrations unfortunately and has also been a feature contributing to Sri Lanka's woes which the President with all the resources and manpower available is making every attempt set right and no mean task given the adversities he faces both from the opposition as well as the terrorists who of late seem to be pinning their combined efforts towards defeating the Government!

Bearing in mind that the hardships the Nation is presently facing are predominantly as a result of what the LTTE have done by way of harm to the economy and progress of the Nation over decades it seems only fair to ask the Nation to put that primarily into perspective with the expectation that eliminating the LTTE towards the future of the Nation needs to be prioritised at the present as something which cannot be placed on the back burner and to acheive this, sacrifices will have to be made within the burgeoning needs of a vast population with no real gross national product which although painful can only be viewed with hope as temporary and needing to be endured for a little longer. What the opposition are presently attempting to initiate is tantamount to anarchy and unrest within the Nation and must never be tolerated and the JVP in particular should govern themselves accordingly to prevent this catastrophe from ever bein manifested!

The President in addressing a public rally in the Southern heartland of the Sinhala Nation has reiterated his resolve to crush Tamil tigers militarily ~ a task which appears to be well within the reach of his armed forces and a condition which he has outlined as a precursor to any peace talks to end Asia's longest-running ethnic conflict. Realistically this eventual move towards a lasting peace will involve the peace loving, non terrorist supportive Tamils rather then the LTTE who are unlikely to come clean of their terrorist image unless forced to do so and their will is broken and an idealogy which is fairly safe to assume as the(LTTE) terrorists have never sincerely shown any interest in peace while continuing to remain terrorists.

The pragmatism of a a political settlement as indicated by the President is typical of his benevolence towards the Nation hinging on the incorporation of the Tamil Community in a prualistic sense towards restoring to them their inherant rights which also belongs to the rest of the Nation as the freedoms needed to lead normal lives unimpeded by the criminalities of the terrorists. However, the pragmatism by itself becomes Utopian and idealistic where there seems, to all intents and purposes no real point in talking about a political settlement without first defeating terrorism as the terrorists have persisted for decades in their criminalities where at long last they are showing real cracks in their composure and orientation and a good time to persist in the relentless drive which will erase their contentious and objectionable presence from Sri Lanka!

That the LTTE is not interested in negotiations and that they must be made to realise that problems cannot be solved through the barrel of their guns which as of late seem to be backfiring nonetheless has to be broadcast to the world as something which needs no spokes in the wheels towards Sri Lanka's posterity ! This should be of particular emphasis to meddling pro-LTTE foreign dignitaries, NGO, flybynight preachers and so called donor Nations who sometimes turn to shamefaced blackmail against sovereign Sri Lanka using the pretext of Human Rights Violations, abuse of power and strong arm tactics which need to be interpreted and construed in the proper perspective rather than to promote their own obtuse perceptions often through misjudgement of the real situation within the Nation.This would emphasize the burning issue of the LTTE needing to be forced to lay down arms without justification towards their existence which is often prompted by foreign pundits.

What seems to be the mindset of the President where the elimination of the terrorists becomes a priority through their perceived weaknesses augurs well for Sri Lanka which whilst undoubtedly resulting in hardships for the Nation while it is being executed effectively by the Armed Foirces remains the key to Sri Lanka's future as a terrorist free Nation

This is something the terrorists must be made aware of as their impending doom if the numbness in their skulls, blocks in their ears and the fog in their brains in their best interests somehow clear despite the losses of two of their 'interpretative brains' who by virtue of being terrorists have met their maker, their head Honcho being next in line for this privilege unless captured alive!! Those continuing to be forcible entities within the terrorist group however may somehow have opportunies in their best interests if they surrender which would augment their chances of survival not as terrorists but citizens of Sri Lanka!
