Ridding The Nation Permanently Of The LTTE The Only Restitution For Sri Lanka!

Lankaweb and all decent law abiding human beings in Sri Lanka and around the world without reservation unequivocally condemn the dastardly activities of the LTTE going back to the inception of the formation of this miserably directionless terrorist group given surreal leeway through administrative neglect to propagate their terrorism in Sri Lanka as well as globally with impunity! This has now resulted in the murder of one of Sri Lanka's finest Military Generals for whom an entire nation mourns and is a continuation of the unending sorrow of many other instances of the countless number of lost lives of leaders and loved ones.

While it it may seem insufficient to merely condemn the heinous killing of General Parami Kulatunga, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lankan Army as well as a number of other officers and civilians as another insidious act of terrorism it seems an obligation for the authorities in Sri Lanka to now deploy all the resources available to permanently rid the nation of this vermin with no right to their existences nor the right to parade around as liberators of the Tamil community in Sri lanka which has by and large become a concocted myth to suit and justify their deplorable criminal acts against a free and democratic society and stringent measures towards their eradication seems much in order towards easing permanently the sufferings of a Sovereign Nation!

It has been propounded by many discerning analysts that the measures needed to counter and eliminate this menace which is threatening the Nation as well as the entire region of south Asia might necessitate token areal bombing of LTTE targets and flushing them out of the Wanni and other areas infested with their contentious presence and the usual muffled sabre rattling which continues in the form of Presidential pragmatism is insufficient to counteract this dastardly act nor these dastarly felons who have no reservations about wantonly tearing apart human life where conscience nor upbringing plays even a remote part towards preserving the integrity of human life within a free society and world order.

Since it has now become more metaphorical rather being coinable any longer with reality the Peace Agreement and Cease Fire Agreement, there is judicious acknowledgement towards discontinuing them while totally banning the LTTE and as suggested by many sources who objectively view the need for true affirmative action that it seems perfectly in order to carry out strategic military action against all the known establishments of the LTTE to provide security for the Nation despite the call of some pundits for restraint. This would be the ultimate gesture of appreciation to respect a dedicated Army Commander, with over 30 years of dedicated service, who together with all those who laid down their lives ultimately paid the supreme price in the line of duty to protect the Sovereignity and Territorial Integrity of Sri Lanka from the onslaughts of the rabid menace calling themselves the LTTE.

For sometime now it has been common knowledge amongst the more discerning intelligence sources around the world as well as in Sri Lanka that the LTTE have been carefully planning what they profess to be their Eelam War IV which they broadcast through many of their news outlets to which scant Administrative attention was paid and as expected the LTTE have unleashed much of the terror affiliated with their strategy on unsuspecting targets both military and civilian and it seems foolhardy for the Administration as well as a neglecting of duties and obligations towards the citizens of Sri Lanka if the issue was unabated and the LTTE continued their attrocities any further with impunity!

Therefore it does not seem to be asking for too much from the legally and constitutionally elected President of Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mahinda Rajapaksa and his Administration to provide the necessary security for all its citizens living in Sovereign Sri Lanka.

It seems to no avail that lip service, rhetoric and the expectations of outside friendly sources would provide a panacea for the Nation's imperative dilemma, the presence of the LTTE and their continued tolerance and to appease by way of obligatory conciliation the powers that be who merely condemn through words what needs to be confronted in a more tangible manner, meaningless.

Realistically and logically the yoke responsibility of providing restitution for a beleagured Nation which Sri Lanka now presents herself as being, lies fairly and squarely on the shoulders of the Executive President whose bounden and sworn duty it is as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces safeguarding the Nation against internal and external security threats to address the issue of taking the LTTE to task without prevarication and predilection towards contrary opinion.

There are no further obligations by the Administration of Sri Lanka towards continued tolerance of an undesirable and contemptible terrorist organization which manifests itself in the form of the LTTE terrorist group which should have been disrupted and put down decades ago and it is better late than never! Rich will be the rewards for Sri Lanka and all her citizens once this scourge is wiped out permanently.
