Solheim's Contentious Interview To The Indian Press Merits Norway Being Booted Out Of Sri Lanka's Peace Process! In a remarkable show of bravado and complete insensitivity to protocols
relative to Norway's involvement in Sri Lanka's Peace Process the reputed
master of deception whose connivance skills seem to by far surpass that
of infamous statesman and Florentinian conniver Machiavelli. This alone should prompt the present Sri Lankan Administration to have no trepidations about presenting Solheim and Norway their marching orders as the prioritised importance over vaccillations about paying homage to Norway! a definite No No! which could further the reprisals should it turn to lackadaisical neglect and LTTE interpretations relative to same on how the Administration's moves are responded to! which is now percieved by the International Community best represented by the USA and the European Union together with many other prominent nations as an emphatic need to preserve Sri Lanka's Sovereignity and Territorial Integrity over all else far beyond the rhetoric Eric Solheim is propagating? The nature of the interview perplexing at best and arousing curiosity in the mindset of the more discerning and perhaps even anger from large partisan sections of the Sri Lankan polity in coalition with the present President as well as many ordinary Lankans has indicated openly that Solheim's idealogies and consequently those of Norway, being a cabinet minister of the present Norwegian Administration are biased towards the terrorist group the LTTE an accusation which has been levelled at Norway in very appreciable perspective by very discerning analysts albeit politicians and the general public alike. It has been thought for sometime now that Norway has indeed contributed in more ways than one towards LTTE pogroms of devastation for all the time Norway has played the role of mediator in the Peace process and now there issufficient cause towards affirmation of this through Solheims bold words! Once again the claim that Solheim and Norway should be kicked out of
any further involvement in Sri Lanka's Peace Process as promoted vehemently
by the JVP and the JHU becomes credible in the best interests of Sri
lanka and considering the alternate stance taken by the USA and the
EU that the LTTE are a mendacious and criminal organization that needs
to be proscribed further and dismantled towards Sri Lanka's posterity.
The imposition of mere sanctions might not be sufficient to send a clear
message to the incongruous and puerile nature of rationales the LTTE
continue to utilise to their advantage with the backing of Norway who
as some analysts believe, have and will continue to compound the peace
effort while prompting further justification to the existence of the
LTTE! They have also initiated the LTTEs capability towards satellite broadcasting by providing logistics and equipment, in all probilities helped construct an airstrip and setting up light aircraft for possible intended attacks on Government targets and even the provision of arms and ammunition considering Norways arms and ammunition manufacturing reputation for the weapons industry and the list continues where to the amazement of the more discerning the Norwegians still continue with carte blanche to do as they wish while waving lies and innuendo in the face of the Government and the general public whom they continue to hoodwink at every turn! It seems abjectly hollow and revolting to hear Solheim in affrontal bravado utter words such as "I sincerely believe in a negotiated political solution." The incerities of the man has been laid bare on more than one occassion through his capacity to create illusive innuendo at times hoodwinking even some of the High Buddhist Clergy where now he has shown his true colours! yet gobbled up as legit by a blinkered administration as it seems!and the man continues spewing his forked tongued false propaganda while the LTTE regroup towards what they blatantly advertise universally as the final Eelam war! It seems a fallcy to believe that The Norwegian government is truly committed to actively promoting peace and reconciliation internationally in troubled parts of the world when there are many reports of bias and duplicity in their projected pseudo concerns about a lasting peace in Sri Lanka as it never seems to override their committment to the Tamil refugees within Norway who seem to be now literally eating Norway out of existence through their growing presence there. The sooner Norway projects a 'State of Eelam' in Sri Lanka the better it will be according to many analysts researching ths issue from within and without Norway, in order that Norway breathes easy while they repatriate the Tamil menace which is gradually choking average Norwegians out of home and house in some situations and threatening the stability of Norway's very political, economical and administrative infrastructure ! Norway being a moderate sized nation and the alarming emergence of a Tamil overridden Norway a distinct possibility as well as a nagging thought towards Norway's own posterity! Consequently Norway's rhetoric courtesy of Solheim which while being duplicitous relative to the statement made to the Indian Press about preferences for Tamil self rule in Sri Lanka also indicates visible cracks and transparencies towards subterfuge and insincerity in Eric Solheim's quote that " We will continue to give priority to facilitating the Peace Process in Sri Lanka as long as the parties request our efforts and we see that we can play a constructive role. I hope that the parties gain mutual confidence to take the Peace Process forward. There is clear pressure on President Mahinda Rajapakse from his allies, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and Jathika Hela Urumaya, not to concede even the most basic demands of Tamils. Both parties favour a solution within a unitary state structure, a departure from former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe" end quote where based on the reference to Ranil Wickremasinghe alone( who is on an undisclosed visit to Norway even as this is being compiled and non committal about objectives) a greater compilation of insincerities and compounded lies never seemed more transparent where the writing seems to be on the wall that Norway must go and Erik Solheim booted out of any further participation in Sri Lanka's peace as their continued involvement in Sri Lankan matters could easily project another crisis reminiscent of the chaos Norway left behind in the Middle East Peace issue botched beyond respite as the world knows today ! |
