Security Forces Making Steady Gains Towards Eliminating The LTTE And A Matter Of Time!

As the veritable end of the Tamil Tigers nears despite all the gagging
and choking of their supportives and their token resistances such as their
recent cowardly attacks on unarmed civilians in the Trincomalee District
(one such with homemade monoplanes ) continue, the relentless Sri Lankan
Armed Forces continue to push deeper into the Tamil Tiger heartland and
are now within reach of their so called administrative capital Kilinochchi
as the end of a brutal three decade long internal armed insurrection seems
to be looming ever so near.
Latest reports by Military sources have attested to the Military's efficient
onward push placing them in artillery range of the Tigers' figurative
de facto capital, Kilinochchi, where Prabhakaran is believed to be hiding
in an underground bunker complex probably sweating it out until either
the grim reaper in the form of a cyanide capsule or the armed forces confront
him.
It will be interesting to ascertain once the dust has settled whether
Sri Lanka's Public Enemy Number One will end up in the same manner as
another vicious megalomaniac Adolf Hitler who conducted himself in slightly
different circumstances with a somewhat greater magnitude of criminal
liability albeit the similarities involving crimes against humanity equally
conspicuous together with the ruthless cunning and systematic elimination
of their ethnic opponents which eventually resulted in genocidal trauma
for many innocents but as poetic justice was served, perished in a bunker
where the expectation could be synonymous in the case of Prabhakaran in
which case justice will not be served as he needs to be captured alive
to answer for his crimes!
The Sri Lankan campaign against the terrorists in recent times has had
a huge shot in the arm as many world powers have united to condemn them,
waive off their false bleatings of victimisation based on a non existent
legitimacy to their terrorist activities together with their false claim
to be the sole representatives of the Tamil Community.
Consequently Sri Lanka's Military campaign towards eliminating the terrorists
in their entirety has benefited from an international coming together
of many countries which have effectively sought out, suppressed and eventually
made redundant or rendered negligible most of the Tamil Tigers efforts
towards supplementing terrorist activties in Sri Lanka! to which all Sri
Lankans should be eternally grateful. Predominantly among these The USA,
Canada, Great Britain, Australia have been conspicuous together with a
host of other nations.
It is now known that consequent to the crackdown on the Tiger campaigns
globally as well as internally in Sri Lanka there have been high-level
defections that have undermined grassroots Tamil support for its once
iron-willed now yellow bellied chief, Velupillai Prabhakaran similar to
the high profile defections of messers Douglas Devananda, V Muralitharan
aka Col Karuna as well as S Pillayan who are now working with the Sri
Lankan Government towards the well being and posterity of all Sri Lankans
and the demise of their one time Tiger allies which has provided much
hope towards a Nation once beleaguered by the criminalities of the Tamil
Tigers as the strength these three resourceful individuals and the others
bring to the cause of a better Sri Lanka invaluable! They also have a
vast contingent of followers who have broken away from the criminalities
of Prabhakaran which adds to the required strengths towards Nation rebuilding
and the expectations of the Tamil Community as the numbers of defections
grow.
Despite casualty claims on both sides of the conflict and details of
the statistics relative to the gains and losses often distorted due to
their approximate nature based on journalists and news reporters being
barred from the conflict zones, it is a sure fact of life judging by the
rate at which the terrorist numbers are diminishing whilst often being
decimated in huge numbers at a time indicating that the Security Forces
are making steady gains and progress towards their ultimate goal.
The final assault perhaps should be better conducted with stealth and
no fanfare as the Tamil Tigers now cornered to effect have nowhere to
run and their overpowering and capture or elimination needs to be done
with no room for outside interference or meddling as there are very likely
would be redeemers and saviours of the terrorists waiting in the wings
with many an excuse towards their redemption and this time around there
can be no Governmental Faus Pax or leniencies which would permit the terrorists
from ever regrouping or recussitating their Nation destructive means where
lessons need to be learned and never repeated!
