Most of us feel very grateful to all those who have contributed to eradication of terrorism from the face of Sri Lanka. Our forces, leaders, and the President, His Excellency, Mahinda Rajapaksha in particular, are all deserved ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ blessings!

So many people have written so many articles supporting the government and its efforts of eradicating terrorism that finally ended successfully. There was no blood baths as expected by the pro-LTTE western media and persons! We are in fact a blessed nation!

I am sure that the government will take one step at a time and would continue to make Sri Lanka a better place for all to live and grow, irrespective of caste, creed or race. In fact expressed this idea by saying that we have only two kinds of people; ones that love your won country and ones that betray our country.

Now, the need of the hour is to help the government in efforts of resettlingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  the IDPs to get back on their feet to live with dignity. Therefore, it is the duty of every Sri Lankan, every political party and organization to contribute to this daunting task.ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚

In particular, it is the time for the HRW and others who were critical of the government to stop talking and start doing something for the innocence. The road is wide open!

However, the security is still number one concern, as some irresponsible people gathered, attacked and damaged the British High commission building. These irresponsible people are only tarnishing the image of the government. Opposing some of the British politiciansƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢ remarks against the government of Sri Lanka is one thing, but becoming violent and unruly is another serious matter. Nevertheless, these kinds of acts only give more ammunition to those British politicians who are pro-LTTE to strengthen their case against Sri Lanka. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In any case we all should condemn the violence in any form!

Now that war is over, weƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚  should look forward to helping the government in its efforts of nation building! We have now realized that national security is number one priority for any government in the future. The government need to look at our security needs and continuously improve the best possible procedures and methods to prevent any terrorist activities from occurring through the sea, land or air! We certainly do not want to have any repeat of terrorism in our land! Our laws and regulations should be revised and further strengthen on matters pertaining to the national security, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Sri Lanka!

God Bless Sri Lanka!
