After the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team, international cricket encounters scheduled to be held in Pakistan have been cancelled.

With terrorist attacks taking place frequently it is unlikely that foriegn teams will play in that country in the foreseable future. This is a tremendous set back for the country’s cricket and a blow to its cricket fans.

Udder the above circumstances, Sri Lanka as a friendly nation of Pakistan and situated not so far away could fill in the void if we offer to host the Pakistani team to play their international matches here in Sri Lanka.

lombo is about 3 1/2 hr. flight from Karachchi and an affordable destination for many Pakistani cricket fans to see their players in action.

Sri lanka’s tourism industry on the other hand will stand to benifit from these arrivals. It can also give a boost to the airline industries of the two countries.

Thus it be a win-win situation for both Pakistani cricket as well as for Sri Lanka’s tourist industry!
