I just don’t get Lara Stemple’s insinuation about “The Majority of Tamil males in Sri Lanka who were sexually assaulted during that country’s long civil war did not report it to the authorities at the time, later explaining that they were simply too ashamed.”

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I believe that she is up to some mischief as this isƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ an island where it is not too common to see two young males walking the streets holding hands and not concerned about what others think.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Am I to assume that these were the Tamil youth who were kidnapped by the Tamil Tigers for their Baby Brigade and assaultingƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ them sexually by their peers was a way to subjugate them to become suicide bombers and frontline fighters of this ruthlessƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ war?

Asoka ! Your assumption is realistically true. The Tigers used the Tamil youngsters and Teen age girls, for sexual play. What I say is not an assumption. I saw a video tape of nude tamil boys and teen age girls, being photographed by some elderly Tamils and two WHITE Foreign men. One of these White Photographers, were virtually squatting and taking photos of the posteriors of the teen age girls and boys, while somebody else was photographing the photographers.
Lara Stemple is possibly referring to the sexual abuse by the Tiger Leaders. She has not positively averred, “”WHO SEXUALLY ASSAULTED WHO “”
This could be a connection, to an earlier statement by someone, about Sexual Abuse during the war. Ofcourse, when it was the tigers that are involved, the voices are reluctant to aver.
