The Sunday Observer of 4/9/11reported quote ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚Gordon Weiss, a former spokesperson of the UN Office in Colombo, who is accused of having spoken adversely on Sri Lanka on many occasions, has been invited to attend a forum by Sri Lankans Without Borders, a group headed by former spokesperson Vijy Sappani of the Canadian Tamil Congress, an alleged LTTE front UnquoteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚

By accepting to address a Forum organized by pro-LTTE front in Canada, Gordon Weiss exposes his partiality towards LTTE terrorists again in true form. How much he would have been paid by the wealthy LTTE rump, one can imagine.

The UN and its agencies in Sri Lanka came to be criticized by many quarters for being shamelessly biased towards LTTE during the conflict. We are aware that so many vehicles belonging to UN Agencies finally ended up with the LTTE. Whatever the criticism made against UN being biased to LTTE during the conflict by the Sri Lankans was proved true in many instances having observed the partiality and unethical behavior of the UN officials like Gordon Weiss. Suffice to remind that former UNSG Koffi Annan had the audacity to send condolences to the kith and kins of slain Kaushalyan who was of one of the LTTE top ranking terrorist leaders. It was an open secret that Gordon Weiss has been a mouth piece of the LTTE whilst being a UN spokesperson. His recent book titled ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The CageƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ with flaws and lies, interviews he had with the western media like Channel 4 and the infamous film clip and that he agrees to address a pro-LTTE forum in Canada speak a lot about his unethical behavior as an ex UN Official. His comments and reports he had made since he became the UN spokesman to the UN, to local and foreign print and electronic media should be treated as biased, just a load of crap with no credibility. He had acted unethically as an UN official and UN should probe into his activities during his stay in Sri Lanka to ensure that he also didnƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢t receive any remuneration from LTTE for appeasing LTTE.

There is also another curious question whether Gordon Weiss was sacked by UN for some reason or he resigned from the post at his own will. If his service was terminated by UN, what would be the reasons. It is also hard to believe that any one would leave a such lucrative post in the UN unless he/she has some solid reasons.

The western media including Australian media who always looked for him as an authority on Sri Lankan conflict during the last stages of the military operation in order to attack and tarnish the image of Sri Lanka should at least now re- think of the credibility of this guy. He has openly become the spokesman for the LTTE rump. His claim that 40000 thousands civilians killed during the last phase of the war treated by the western print and electronic media (like BBC and Channel 4) as Gospel truth should be discarded immediately as CRAP. Incidentally, his book ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The CageƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ should be considered as a dump of garbage. The only people who would read his book which are full of lies and unsubstantiated facts would be the Tamil Diaspora for self satisfaction. Probably, he must be addressing this forum with the idea of selling more copies to the Tamil Diaspora as no one else would buy the book. Gordon Weiss continues to strip himself piece by piece like a cabaret artist exposing his nudity and finally will strip the last piece of his loincloth at the proposed forum in Canada exposing his total nakedness to the world.
