In the light of the following report with regard to the Amnesty InternationalƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s recent attempt to humiliate Sri Lanka for having defeated the most brutal terrorist organization-LTTE, I thought it would be appropriate to reproduce the letter I wrote and published in many patriotic websites on 1 March 2012..

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ QuoteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚Ahead of a crucial vote in the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva seeking to censure Sri Lanka on alleged war-time human rights violations, Amnesty International on Tuesday raised the pitch, saying the world body must support an independent international investigation into Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s accountability issues, according to a report on the online edition of The Hindu.Unquote

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ DISCARD AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL REPORTS AGAINST SRI LANKA

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now the next session of the UNHRC in Geneva is around the corner, Amnesty International has already started its campaign against Sri Lanka who coughs for LTTE dollars with other humanitarian Organizations like Human Rights Watch (HRW) and International Crisis Group (ICG) to revive the demand to bring charges against Sri Lanka for war crimes. At the last UNHRC sessions in 2011, UNHRC resolution against Sri Lanka on war crimes was humiliatingly defeated by the majority countries and they will try aging this Feb/March with the help of International Humanitarian Organizations like AI,HRW and ICG.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As reported in the global print media Michael H. Posner, Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor at the U.S Department of State has said that ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-The United States is to push for an international accountability mechanism in Sri Lanka over alleged Human Rights violationsƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in response to a petition filed by Jim McDonald, Sri Lanka Country Specialist for Amnesty International USA. The online petition by Amnesty International, posted on the White House website, had called on the U.S. to support an international war crimes investigation in Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ LTTE dollars are still working very well.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ In a recent news item, it was alleged that Amnesty International (AI) had received $50000 from a Tamil organization called Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC) which may be another dubious front of the LTTE rump in Canada. (CTC should have used that money to build a couple of houses for the poor Tamil peasants in the North instead of funding a corporate humanitarian organization with millions of funds in hand) This donation to AI is only a tip of the iceberg. Sri Lankan patriots over the years have been alleging Amnesty International for coughing for LTTE dollars and recent act of receiving funds from CTC proves it further beyond any doubt. This would have been a case over last two decades where AI was an international mouth piece for LTTE propaganda playing along with Human Rights Watch (HRW) and International Crisis Group (ICG).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It still lingers in our minds how the AI exposed itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s true colors when they connived with LTTE activists and launched the infamous ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-Cricket Ball EpisodeƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ in West Indies at the 2007 World Cup Cricket. How much AI received for this dastardly act albeit a total flop, only their Auditors will know. The latest kick back from the CTC cannot be the only kick back they received and not one off or isolated one. There would have been hundreds of kick backs to AI from LTTE organizations operating mainly from Canada and UK. over the last two decades.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Another startling news (March 2011) quoted below say that Amnesty International bigwigs have been paid colossal money. (Reported in The British Press).

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ QuoteƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚ Secretary General of the London headquartered Amnesty International, Irene Khan and her deputy Kate Gilmore received a staggering 533,000 and 325,244 pounds, pay-off packages Unquote.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ItƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s no wonder that these bigwigs of AI have been appeasing LTTE and undermining the Sri Lankan GovernmentƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s efforts to end the Tamil terrorism as they had a job to do for the remuneration and the perks they get to please the western agenda of destabilizing small nations like Sri Lanka. However, they miserably failed and LTTE was completely annihilated by the present Sri Lanka Government. But still, AI has not given up carrying the LTTE agenda in the global forum.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The recent online petition by AI posted on the Whitehouse website against Sri Lanka is a case in point..

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ As a vengeance for defeating LTTE terrorist outfit by the present Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) the Commissioner of UNHRC and other UN agencies have been calling for war crimes against Sri Lanka totally relying on faulty and biased AI reports and reports from HRW and ICG. Even the so- called Expert Panel Report appointed by the UN Secretary General Mr. Ban-ki-Moon appears to have based their findings from faulty and biased AI Reports and reports from other HR organizations such as HRW and ICG. They in turn based their reports on information published in Tamil net and other LTTE websites. If the Amnesty International has been receiving funds from the LTTE affiliated Tamil organizations, can we rely on the integrity , impartiality and veracity of their reports? Definitely No. Therefore, all Amnesty International Reports to UN and its Agencies on Sri Lankan conflict over the years including the recent ones on human rights violations by Sri Lanka Government should be discarded as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-just crapƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The impartial international community should discard out right any actions, comments made by UN agencies based on the reports made by AI over the years as they were trumpeting the LTTE views for fistful of dollars. Thus none of AIƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s reports over the years against Sri Lanka should be treated seriously as they were prejudicial, dishonest, faulty and should discard them outright.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Now that the Amnesty International is exposed and their various reports made on Sri Lankan issue over the past carry no clarity, credibility, veracity or fairness, UNSG Mr. Ban-ki-Moon and the UNHRC should at least now stop relying on the reports made by AI, HRW, ICG etc to make decisions against Sri Lanka but discard them out right as ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ…-just crapƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ”š‚.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It is high time that the UN Secretary General appointed an impartial committee of Auditors to investigate and probe into the funds received by Amnesty International over the years to ensure that they have not received funds from various terrorist outfits and their associated fronts operating globally.
