Wijaya house is only after money. Its a dirty and pseudo patriot media house worse than Sirasa. At least we all know where Sirasa stand but this? Daily Mirror is largely subscribed by LTTE rump, NGOs and all types of anti government goons; so, they made it a stage for them to pat their backs and propagate their views among themselves. There is no room there for us.

Now read another Wijaya publication, ‘Lankadeepa’. Its tone is different to that of ‘Daily Mirror’ for its readership is Sinhala and are largely government backers. So, to play a different game and play safe, they have appointed an editor with a different mentality. I do not buy Wijaya House publications.

House of Island has been not that bad. But of late, ‘Divaina’ and ‘Island’ have been perusing different lines. It was obvious that Shabandu, the editor of Island had changed his tunes of late and started writing his editorials to back the CJ and her backers. First I thought this is what they call real ‘press freedom’. But when I noticed Prof. Nalin de Silva is experiencing cuts and chops to his regular write ups to ‘Mid Week Review’, I started wondering what kind of ‘press freedom’ this pseudo editor pundit have been talking all along.
