NAVI PILLAY WILL NEVER CHANGE HER STRIPES

Navi Pillay came and left. But some of her comments on Sri Lanka lingers bad taste in the air. Her comments over various matters proved that she visited with pre-conceived judgments against Sri Lanka and proved that she had a hidden agenda. I would like to scrutinise ƒ”š‚ a few of her comments at various press conferences, meetings with officials, NGOs , citizenry and the final speech at the press conference before her departure after her oneƒ”š‚  week stay in Sri Lanka.

  • LTTE was a ‘murderous organisation’, she said, “Those in the diaspora who continue to revere the memory of the LTTE must realise that there should be no place for the glorification of such a ruthless organisation.” But having said and known this stark truth, why was sheƒ”š‚  supporting LTTE in her official capacity in the UN parroting all what LTTE’s Tamil Net, LTTE diaspora and Channel 4 say? Her comments appear a camouflaging silver lining in a dark cloud merely to console the Sri Lankans.
  • To prove further, Navi Pillay had the audacity to request to pay a ƒ”š‚ floral tribute to the most ruthless terrorist leader Velupillai Prabhakaran during a visit to the North which was rejected by the Government. In the same tone, when she gets back home, she should request President Obama’s permission to throw a floral tribute to the very place in the ocean where Taliban Leader Osama bin Laden’s body was dumped by the US or to place a floral tribute at Cambodia’s Pol Pot’s burial place.
    • She has mentioned that SL becoming an authoritarian State. Sri Lankans don’t feel that way except some few bankrupt politicians and disgruntled NGOs. In fact, we are saddled with so many types of elections Presidential, General, provincial, LG bodies at an unbearable cost merely to preserve the democratic principles. If she wants to find an example of an authoritarian State, she should turned to America’s number one ally Saudi Arabia which is an authoritarian state. Minister Keheliya Rambukwella had said that ƒ¢¢”š¬…”quote visiting UN Human Rights High Commissioner’s (UNHRHC) statement on Sri Lanka becoming an authoritarian state leads to a reasonable doubt that there is a different agenda behind her visit, since all tools of a democratic government are currently in placeƒÆ’‚¼nquote.
    • The print media reported that she had spent one hour with a Christian priest discussing many issues. Such Evangelist Christian priests are making a mockery of the religious freedom in Sri Lanka with involvement in religious conversion. Meeting an Evangelist priest without any previous protocol makes us believe that she is also one of them. I don’t know whether she met any Buddhist priests at least to know more about the bombing of Dalada Maligawa, massacre at Sri Maha Bodhiya premises, massacre of 39 Buddhist priests at Arantalawa to name a few by LTTE terrorists.
    • She has commented that though she is an Indian Tamil she is proud to be a South African. Her irresponsible behaviour and molly coddling the LTTE terrorist outfit over the years prove otherwise that the blood is thicker than water.
    • She also has questioned why the Police didn’t come under Ministry of Justice. This is purely an internal matter and she has no right to question and it’s the prerogative of the country’s President as the head of our sovereign nation.
    • ƒ”š‚ She also has questionedƒ”š‚  the status of the remaining detainees and has urged the Government to expedite their cases. Has she ever questioned theƒ”š‚  US Government of the detainees languishing in Guantanamo Bay over 10 years?
    • Navi has gone to such a micro level of looking for flaws and has asked why the National Flag and the Buddhist flag flying in the Independent square. Surely she should understand that Sri Lanka is a Sinhala Buddhist country with 75% of the total population being Sinhala Buddhists. Did she expect to fly the Tiger Eelam flag the way they allow in USA, UK and Geneva without any obstructions or objections?
    • Another funny question she has asked President’s Secretary Lalith Weeratunga was why the Government is changing some of the names of North and Eastern towns like Mutur, Thirukovil and Potuvil. She should ask Indian PMs of India over the years as to why they change Bombay to Mumbai, Madras to Chennai, Calcutta to Kolkota and Bangalore to Bangaluru, Poona to Pune, Mangalore to Mangaluruƒ”š‚  to name a few of Indian States and cities among over 200 renamed and respelled cities? She shouldn’t have poked her finger to everything and such decisions are left to ruling parties prevailed and prevailing in the country.
  • She has also suggested that it’s time to repeal PTA. In the same tone, will she have guts to ask USA to repeal all the acts pertaining to prevention of terrorism under Department of Homeland Security, Patriotic Act etc., and various Acts in UK and other countries to prevent terrorism?

Before her arrival, I wrote two letters titled ƒ¢¢”š¬…” BE ALERT! TIGRESSƒ”š‚  INƒ”š‚  SHEEP’S CLOTHING (27/7/2013)0 and ƒ¢¢”š¬…”We are sceptical about Navi Pillai’sƒ”š‚  visit in the midst of NPC elections and CHOGM (26/8/2013)which the mainstream tabloids in Sri Lanka failed to publish them but theƒ”š‚  popular patriotic website LANKAWEB published them. Here I mentioned that she is coming with a hidden agenda and the Government to be vigilant. This wasƒ”š‚  proved beyond doubt in her final out going statement at the press conference before her departure . It appears now that Sri Lanka has been trapped again as she is not going to change her tiger stripes in her oral submission to UN in September 2013.

Various Tamils terrorize the govt. time to time to get FAVORS. This is an EXTORTION RACKET.

Yarl Devi train will commence on September 14. One week to the election. ONLY Tamils will benefit from it. BUT they will NOT vote for the govt. for it. Tamils in Jaffna see it as a threat of SINHALA COLONIZATION!

    This is their mentality.

This govt. is going to learn a bitter lesson in 3 weeks time. Can’t wait till then.

My Comment on “Sri Lanka criticizes U.N. rights chief’s ‘authoritarian’ Reuters article by Shihar Aneez September 1, 2013 at Yahoo.com:

Navi Pillay is highly biased in favor of her Tamil community, and is totally UNFIT for her role in monitoring Human Rights in ANY country. Her biases drive her to protect terrorists who have murdered 150,000 civilians in Sri Lanka by demonizing the government that liberated ALL people of Sri Lanka from endemic terror. She defends giving floral tributes to the dead LTTE murderers by saying she wishes to honor ALL dead people. She sees no need to distinguish those deserving respect from dead villains. Accordingly, she would honor Mahatma Gandhi and Adolf Hitler … side by side! Given her mindset, she is UNFIT to continue as a UN official in charge of Human Rights!

Another Comment by me on Shihar Aneez’s article on Navi Pillay:

Those foreign powers and NGOs, and their local surrogates, who brought Sri Lanka to her knees during the last 30 years of anarchy bereft of law and order while hundreds of thousands of people were murdered by their surrogate terrorists, now bemoan the loss of that anarchic “freedom.” However, the VAST MAJORITY of PATRIOTIC citizens of Sri Lanka think and say otherwise: they love this patriotic govt that has restored security, rescued Sri Lanka’s sovereign crown from the gutter to her hallowed head, and is developing the nation at a hectic pace to become the New Wonder of Asia ! Ratna Deepa Janma Bhumi; Lanka Deepa Vijaya Bhumi! Jayawewa … Sri Lanka … my Resplendent Isle!

On the above article, “no name” comments:

I am sri lankan, and I am not Tamil or Sinhalese and I believe that the present government is heading towards an authoritarian rule – the one family government is planning to be in power for ever with the rajapakse family in power. at present the president, his borthers, his son, and other family members hold major ministries in govt and teh president is planning to make himself president for life.

    My Response is:

Many countries, including the US (Kennedy, Bush), India (Nehru/Gandhi, Karunanidhi), Pakistan (Bhutto) have had families playing leading roles in both in the struggle for independence and governance. In Sri Lanka too there have been many family hierarchies (Senanayake, Bandaranayake) who have served with distinction. So, why is there this animosity and opposition to the Rajapakse family who have, more than any other, EARNED the love and respect people accord them today, when most leaders of Sri Lana ABJECTLY FAILED to rescue the nation from terrorists and separatists, and rapidly develop the nation towards becoming the New Wonder of Asia. The EVIDENCE is UNDENIABLE: Sri Lanka is free of terrorism after 30 years and 150,000 deaths, and everywhere there is infrastructure development and economic resurgence taking place, and a new confidence among the people that we will attain our place in sun and a good life for ALL of ourselves and our children. Begone pessimists and naysayers …. I say!

    Addition:

The People of SRi Lanka exercise their sovereignty through the ballot box; if they are dissatisfied with the Rajapaksa-led UPFA Govt, let them VOTE it OUT! But, in CONSECUTIVE elections the people have re-elected this govt with landslide victories .. so ACCEPT THE VERDICT of the People of Sri Lanka exercising their DEMOCRATIC right to freely elect their leaders.

If Navi Pillai really meant that she always placed floral tributes at places where violent conflicts have taken place, then, it would be impossible to do so in SriLanka, as large numbers of people have perished in so many different places over the three decades of this conflict. Only places she could have isolated as more deserving than others would have been Sri Maha Bodhi where several hundred devotees were massacred by the Tamil terrorists, the Two Muslim Mosques where again a large number of devotees were massacred and Dalada Maligawa where a truck bomb was exploded and many pilgrims died. As for other places in the world where violent conflicts ended, what about the places where Sadam Hussein and Mohamed Gadhafi were sadistically and brutally murdered along with many others, after capturing them alive? It is also known that Gadhafi’s female bodyguards were raped and tortured by the Western supported forces before they too were sadistically killed. Is the UN going to investigate these or are they waiting for instructions from the US?
I am happy to note, if it is really happening, that the Govt is trying to regain the actual status and image of the country by reverting some of the Tamilised place names to their original names, like in India and many other nations. When I visited the Hunugama Kadurugoda Temple in the Jaffna district, I was not surprised to note that the name of this town is now tamilised into “Chunnakam”, as was the practice of separatists. It wont be long before place names like Colombo and Nuwara Eliya names too are given a Tamil twist by the separatist elements. It would be difficult to promote reconciliation with Tamil Separatists provoking the rest of the nation with these acts.

UN,HUMAN RIGHTS WATCH and all the world bodies who do not have backbone to stand up against Number #1 Terrorist country in the world USA will not be kind to our poor little nation at anytime. They will dance according to ruthless USA because they were all run by Zionists.

This Tigress Navin Pillai does not have any love or pity for my country because she too is from the same clan. We cannot expect any sympathy from the so called International terrorist community namely America,British,France and their stooges in Sri Lanka UNP & JVP and the NGO assholes.

Best thing is to do now is to unite our countrymen from Dondra to Point Pedro and keep our forces alert all the time same like before because what we see in the news today is not very good.Ban all parties and individuals who talk against our homeland and who ever talks about seperate land and arming the people. Majority is behind this Govt no doubt about it what ever our traitors said and done. Take the Oppotunity of the CGHOM meeting and show the world leaders about the true democracy in Sri Lanka. Show what the seperaties done to our Motherland and still trying to do. Do not allow TNA Hynas to tarnish our image or to allow them to make any remarks against our homeland. This is our Sinhala nation and we must do according to the wish of the Sinhalese as they are the majority. Our voice should be louder than those creatures. Sinhala nation must stand up together to destroy the evil empires and evil organizations with good nations around the world.

Well said Gota. I AGREE word to word.

    From adaderana.lk

“Voicing concern over the possible attempts to promote Muslim extremism in Sri Lanka, Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa stated that the emergence of hard line groups within the majority community is a consequence of the increasing insularity amongst minority ethnic groups.

Delivering the keynote address at the ‘Defence Seminar – 2013’ in Colombo today, he stated that the indications of increasing communalism amongst ethnic groups in the country is a cause for concern.

“The increased insularity of ethnic groups was visible during the three decades of conflict in Sri Lanka, and it is a matter of some concern that this separation still persists under conditions of peace and stability,” he said.

Rajapaksa stated that the fragmentation of the Sri Lankan identity into ethno-religious identification is not only unfortunate in itself, but it can also lead to other problems in the long term.

For example, it is clear that there are some in the Tamil community who identify more with the Tamil community of Tamil Nadu than with their fellow Sri Lankans, he said, adding “similarly, it has been observed that there are some foreign groups that wish to encourage Sri Lankan Muslims to identify themselves more with the global Muslim community, thereby reducing their integration with the rest of the population.”

He stated that the country’s police and security forces are concerned regarding instances where “extremist elements” have been in transit in Sri Lanka prior to their arrest.

“It is a known fact that Muslim Fundamentalism is spreading all over the world and in this region. This is a situation that our Law Enforcement agencies and Security Forces are concerned about, particularly as there have been instances where extremist elements have been in transit in Sri Lanka prior to arrest and handing over to appropriate authorities,” he said.

“The possibility that such extremist elements may try to promote Muslim extremism in Sri Lanka is a cause for concern,” he added.

He pointed out that one of the “consequences” of the increasing insularity amongst minority ethnic groups is the emergence of hard line groups within the majority community and that this in turn causes further tensions amongst other communities, which leads to a vicious cycle of greater fragmentation of the Sri Lankan identity.”

    Well said, Malin !

As for the many democratic institutions (as mentioned by Minister Rambukwella) : in Sri Lanka, does the 13-A & the useless PCs therein, fall into the category of ‘democratic institutions’ ? The PCs are a millstone around the administrative neck, are they not ? The local govt. has to be simple, understood by the People and meet the needs of the People. The PCs are a drain on tax payer money and does not serve any purpose. If we are stuck with them, we have to devise ways to use them properly in keeping with the money spent on them.

With Navi Pillai leaving Sri Lanka, let us analyse her biased statements and kick them out, and get on with what we have to FOCUS ON NEXT.

I just got some news from a friend in the island nation. He tried to put a paid advertisement in the Daily News and the Island news papers. The DN Advertising manager refused to publish it even it was a paid advertisement. The Island took it and the money but later refused to publish it and offered to refund the money.

The ad was a 2 columns by 5 cm:

” Navi Pillai; Hon UNHRC You are an Indian colonial parasite from Africa Hence you should keep out of the affairs of the subjects of the Indian Empire”

The DN is a government run news paper and the Island’s owner Upali Wijeyawardana was blown off by the Indian colonial parasites of Malaysia, agents of the Indian Empire.
