NEXT POLITICAL PLATFORM OF PRESIDENT MAHINDA RAJAPAKSE

The emergence of a new political organization with the blessings of President Mahinda Rajapakse has been long overdue. During February through May this year, pro-Mahinda Group was fully geared to the formation of a new political organization, but was fooled and foiled by Messrs Nimal Siripala De Silva, Susil Premajayntha and Anura Priyadarshana Yapa. President MR trusted these three crooks and the end result is now clear.
In our article under the title of “POLITICAL FROGS OF UPFA – NEED TO PUBLISH A LIST OF PRO MAHINDA CANDIDATES IMMEDIATELY” published in the Lankaweb on August 10, we pre-warned the dangers of untrustworthy elements entering into the movement. We republish below some sections of the article for easy reference: ” The average voter is likely to identify anyone with the logo of betel leaf as a Pro MR candidate. Therefore media campaign should be undertaken by the UPFA organisers, to publish a list of Pro MR candidates, excluding the names of those candidates whose names have been included at the instigation of President Sirisena.
We have seen candidates such as Wijethamuni Soyza, Nandimithra Ekanayake, Janaka Bandra Tennakoon already publicly apologising to the President Mahinda Rajapakse. But how about others, such as Mohanlal Grero, Thilanga Sumathipala, Duminda Dissanayake, Upeksha Swarnamali, Pavithra Wanniarrachchi, Mahinda Samrasinghe?
How many more others?”
NEVER TRUST THOSE WHO DEFECTED:
The Prime Minister Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe is marginalising the SLFP Ministers to create a dissatisfaction with them by the voters. The SLFP Ministers as well as other MPs in MS camp are increasingly feeling the heat. MS has no power to provide funding for the projects that are being recommended by the SLFP Ministers and MPs. Consequently, these MPs are publicly offering numerous explanations to the general public to explain the situation.
It will not be too long, these disgruntled MPs will be looking for an opportunity to jump the ship and join MR camp once again.
WHOM TO TRUST?
Following the loss of Presidential Election, massive crowds gathered at Medamulana at their own initiative. Most of them visited the President MR on repeated occasions, offering their participation in any future political movement.
Amongst them, there were no popular names. Amongst them, there were no Drug Barons. Amongst them, there were no rich businessmen. But they were true believers in Mahinda Chinthana.
In any future election campaign, nominations should be given to new comers and refrain from accommodating defeated candidates at the next elections.
The new movement should give pride of place to these new blood, under the guidance of Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Vidura Wickremanayake, Prasanna Ranatunga. Namal Rajapakse etc. Apart from President Mahinda Rajapakse, the legendary Gotabaya Rajapakse, Dinesh Gunawardene, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Dr Gunadasa Amerasekera, Prof G L Pieris, Sarath N Silva, should provide the back-up. If DEW Gunasekera is unhappy of participating in a Nationalist Movement, he could join Yahapalanaya as well. Athureliya Rathana, Dharmasiri Bandaranayake, Somawansa Amerasinghe etc need to be regarded as dormant products.
UNP AND SLFP VOTE BASE:
Unlike in the past, the volume of UNP and SLFP votes will be largely UNP votes, with the SLFP vote base fast disappearing. The new political force will be able to capture all anti UNP votes, if it consist of leaders with true Nationalist Agenda.

If Mahinda needs to be in politics further for many more years he should leave S.L.F.P. party immediately and form a new party as all his die hard supporters wish if not all his supporters will be dissapointed for sure. He cannot work like a slave under a traitor. He is a leader not an Assistance or a peon of anyone. We respect him only not anyone else as a leader. Only people he can trust in the political field now is NUGEGODA MAN. Wimal, Dinesh group is popular, Smart, Experinced Inteligent more than puppets and Traitors in the Yahapalanaya.
We will never ever support S.L.F.P. anymore. That is history and we know Mahinda cannot serve the nation properly if he stays with this party with all the corrupt trecherous cowards who are there with Sira and Choura. I wish he listen to his die hard supporters and take a correct decision as soon as possible to face the small election with NUGEGODA MAN team of Patriots to Mother Lanka. MAY TRIPLE GEM PROTECTS MY HOMELAND AND MY BELOVED LEADER MR.

I totally agree with the writer, SLFP has no future as long as Bandit Queen and back-stabber Sirisena are in charge of the party. They will NEVER let MR to become the leader of the SLFP again. They are hell-bent on destroying MR’s legacy and his political life.
MR should get out of SLFP and form a new party with the help of his loyal friends like Wimal, Dinesh, Udaya, Vasudeva, etc. This is the ONLY way MR and his supporters can get rid of Sirisena and Ranil. UNP might benefit on the short term basis, but if MR can lead a new party in the next election Ranil will have no chance of winning again.
For the sake of the future of our Motherland I hope MR will seriously consider this option, and he will undoubtedly have the support of all Sri Lankans who love their country…

M.D.P Dissanayake, A good timely article. Nilwala is correct MR should have a new party and he should publish all the names of those members MPs. THERE MUST NOT BE A COMPLIANCE MINISTER. When Joining this proposed new party, the MP must abide by the party manifesto. If he she gives a public or private meeting contrary to the party manifesto, then MR should call him and state he will fire him if he does not resign. MR did not have control of the SLFP when he was the President.

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE.
MR should NOT leave SLFP. I said this before and I say it again. I will be VERY UNPOPULAR for saying this but I’m not here to become popular.
What is wrong with the SLFP? 2 IDIOTS – Maru Sira and Bandit Queen. That’s all!! Don’t leave the SLFP just because of 2 IDIOTS.
IF MR contests from another party, he has NO CHANCE of having even 20 MPs elected from that party.
1. At least 25% of BLUE voters are LOYAL SLFP voters. They will NOT leave the SLFP. Other voters will lose faith in ALL anti-UNP parties disheartened because NONE OF THEM cannot win the election. UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!
2. UNP will WIN election after election if SLFP is divided. Can’t people understand that? Then UNP will consolidate power in ALL LEVELS from the Pratheseeya Sabha level to president. SIMPLE math.
3. Do you think you people are more knowledgeable than MR in POLITICS? Come on!! MR WILL NEVER LEAVE THE SLFP. Mark my word. MR is happy to be dragged from one commission to another, imprison his relatives, etc. as long as his SLFP membership is NOT cancelled.
What should be done?
Pray to high heavens so that Maru Sira and BQ will attain Nirvana soon. Then Karu J becomes temporary president according to the constitution. Since SLFP will NOT have its member as president, the SLFP will be free to elect its own party leader. MR can easily become the leader. Then there will be fresh presidential elections. MR will UNIFY NFF, PJHU, etc. to help UPFA win.
ONLY a SLFP led coalition can DISLODGE UNP goons. NFF, PJHU, MEP, etc. are one man parties.
The war call should be SAVE SLFP FROM THE 2 IMMORAL PIECES OF DIRT.
IF patriots are unwilling to do so, live with the curse. No free lunches.

There is a reason why ONLY SLFP led coalitions defeated UNP since 1956. We CANNOT swim against it.

My heart is with the idea of the writer and the majority. But I agree with Lorenzo. MR knows the game very well and he is playing accordingly. We should support him for whatever he does.
In the next presidential election, if Gota contests, he will win as an independent candidate. With that MaruSira’s party leadership will vanish paving the way for MR to move to that slot.
This is just a thought and a wish.
Only 4 years and 2 months more!!!

Hiranthe, 4 years and 2month is a long time. The way things are going we will have a police state soon and the Tamils will probably will have their own state as well. Ranil can do anything as he pleases and no one will be able to protest as the police spokesman says they will shoot to kill.

SL is a TERRORIST STATE today. There is NO HOPE in democracy. MIGHT is right in SL. These BRUTAL rulers must be given KARMIC JUSTICE.
That is the only way to have a HUMANITARIAN leader. For that there is no need for MR to leave SLFP. Stay in SLFP and get rid of the DIRT. Only 2 pieces of dirt at the top.

Agree with Lorenzo that MS/CBK are the most rotten eggs in the SLFP (not forgetting the ‘frogs’). I advocated the “new party” alternative as I do not see either of these 2 leaders relinquishing their hold on the Blue Party. However, a 4yr stall could bring the country to economic and national ruin that is beyond repair. The UNITY Govt that was never put before the People as a choice at the last Pres. election has to be demolished in some other way, and fairly SOON!.

The write-up and the comments by various people are hypothetical, without firsthand understanding who is MR.
Writer however is being very optimistic, which I like. “Never trust those who defected” will end up only 10 people.

Lorenzo, I dis-agree with you, but this forum is for such comments. Now, you refer to a Constitution? Where in SL constitution state that there should be a Prime Minister who is above all and he is only answerable only to MUSLIM OBAMA who wants to increase the MUSLIM population in SL!

Some random thoughts on the present problems and the past :
It would be great if MR does form a new political party, but he was not allowed to continue as President in the first place because foriegn countries wanted it so, isn’t it ? MS said that he appointed Ranil as PM ‘because the west wants it so’.
A most peculiar Democracy and a strange “Independence” in Lanka !
Ranil is supposed to have gone to Temple Trees when MR was there and told MR :”… we have to save you for what you did for the country …” But looking at how MR is treated now, we are compelled to say “what a way to treat a man who saved the Country and the People from terrorism of 30 yrs” Shame on Yahap ! Whose orders are they following ?
Ranil has said in Jaffna that ‘the Army must be prepared to fight cross borders” – what does this mean ?
Robert Blake asked MR for Lanka army men to fight in Afghanistan and met with a ‘no’.
The west wanted MR to stop the war with the LTTE.
MR said ‘no’.
So if the west wants blindly obedient puppets, MR is not their man. When the British Empire was in action, they wanted their subjects ‘loyal and willing to serve and die for the Empire’ (see BBC video series “Empire”). This Empire style thinking is still there, isn’t it ?
Tamil Nadu area was fighting WITH the British during Empire rule of India. Tamil Nadu was a break away sub-state of India after Independence. Tamil Leaders of Lanka have since 1930’s always demanded a separate State Eelam in Lanka – for what purposes ? This demand is more or less supported by the churches and west. The trumped up Riots of 1983 HELPED the Eelam cause as never before. The Tamil Diaspora formed after the Riots of 1983, still pushing for Eelam whilst downing Sri Lanka, the country that nurtured them. The Tamil Diaspora suffers from the delusion that all Tamil problems will end with the formation of Eelam. They little know that it is just the beginning of a new set of problems.
Ranll wants a bridge to join Lanka with Tamil Nadu ! There are 15 Million Tamil Dalits who suffer atrocities there waiting to leave Tamil Nadu. It is the ‘Madness of King Ranil’ at its zenith to even think of building bridges to Tamil Nadu.
MR is miles above the rest. He is the best and most trustworthy leader Lanka has.

Lorenzo May be I have to put this statement in a different way. It is the MUSLIM OBAMA wants SL to be controlled by MUSLIMS. And every decision is made in Los Angeles, California by RANIL PUNK’S team. Now, what I meant was; even if one wants oppose MUSLIM OBAMA, he / she has no power to do it, because SL’s Economic, Legal, Constitution, infrastructure and the Parliament is totally under MUSLIM OBAMA control. Obama cannot have this strangle hold on any other country: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia and Miramar (Burma). Ask your self why is Srisena in Thailand? Muslim Obama sent him there to find out whether Sirisena can persuade the Buddhist monks to rise against the military government! Now can you see what I was focusing. Don’t say one word in praise of this opportunist Muslim Obama. What he did to the SL constitution is an open criminal act against the LANKA DEEPAYA. Lorenzo, it is not going to last 4 years as you say. Whether you like it or not students will come out in force in 2016.

Whatever the different viewpoints here, one thing emerges clearly: The current government is incompetent and unable to proceed without the money they expected from the West…now they are turning to China after insulting it to the hilt. MR, with whatever mistakes he made, had a trajectory and goals for the country that were showing positive results. As Fran says, he is the ONLY leader that is trustworthy and strong enough to have the people behind him in taking the country forward. However, this time around, swinging things back will not be easy unlike the last episode with RW and CBK. The country will suffer much and the masses are like frogs in the water being brought to a boil….they are not feeling the heat sufficiently as it heats up, and before long it will be THEY who will have to pay the price.
Can Sri Lanka (and that means ALL its communities, Sinhala Tamil and Muslim) be saved from the fate wrought by the Yahapalanas and those who believed in them ??

Students alone cannot topple the govt.
We need GOVT. SERVANTS to join disruptive strikes. Then it is GAME OVER.
To do that, INFLATION must go up and govt. cannot increase salaries anymore.
JVP has a hold on trade unions. As long as JVP is in love with the UNP govt. nothing will happen.
Sobitha is suffering one problem after another. IF Sobitha is OUT then the SWANS are without their STRATEGIST.
