Volkswagen has not invested in Kuliyapitiya plant: PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said yesterday that the Volkswagen Company had not invested in the Kuliyapitiya vehicle assembly plant.
He was referring to a news item carried by a TV channel quoting the investor in Kuliyapitiya that Volkswagen had no stake in the assembly plant.
“If this channel inquired from me I would have revealed the truth. One must not contaminate his or her mind just because he or she has a grudge against me,” he said, speaking at the opening of Kalu Ganga Water Project in Horana last evening.
He said the government had decided not to allow Volkswagen to invest in Sri Lanka as the company had an issue.
However, he said Volkswagen would be one of the brands of vehicles which would be assembled at the Kuliyapitiya plant. (Yohan Perera)

Then how would you explain this Prime Minister?
This is the BOI website that boasts about Volkswagen investments in Sri Lanka. BOI even held a sham conference and signed a sham agreement! Now VW has clearly stated they have no investment in Sri Lanka and have not yet planned any.

The EXPLANATION is simple: the GREAT CENTRAL BANK ROBBER is scamming the people of Sri Lanka AGAIN!
This is just an ELECTION boondoggle to FOOL THE VOTERS by giving a false impression of DEVELOPMENT while transferring land and tax advantages to a company to assemble 3 years of cars for LOCAL CONSUMPTION by bolting together very large vehicle sections and 4 wheels on each!
In other words, it is way to import vehicles tax-free and sell to Sri Lankans at the price for an fully assembled imported vehicle, and FOOL THE VOTER into believing that National De elopement and long-term job creation is taking place!
Yet another YAMAPALANA BOONDOGGLE!

This Volkswagen factory, like Champika’s Megalopolis Plan, seems to be a HUGE SCAM to benefit Noel Selvanayagam!
Sounds like Ranil GREAT CENTRAL BANK ROBBERY to benefit the Mahendrans and the UNP.
Volkswagen company does not know about it, all cars ‘assembled’ during the first 3 years will be sold in Sri Lanka, the assembly seems to be just joining together large scale car modules and putting the wheels on.
I predict that this company will vanish after 3 years having got the land transferred tax-free and imported cars for sale locally …. also tax-free!
The Yamapalanaya is DESPERATE to give the IMPRESSION of rapidly developing the country to influence the upcoming local elections and get the New Constitution and Development (Special Provisions) SUPER MINISTRY Bills, and the ETCA and FTA Bills passed before people wake up to these SCAMS!
