Under the post Covid-19 New Normal, it is essential for nations to exercise a greater independence from the rest of the world and mainly from Globalization. It is increasingly evident that a nations security – food security, health security, security of the economy, import export facilities and most importantly national security are not compromised under any circumstances.

It is now more than obvious that the so called Big Powers and their network of globalized military, eoonomic and geopolitical interests are at variance with the democratic wish of individual nations. They have become a corrupting influence on the rest of the world and their only ambitions is global hegemony and their selfish interests.

As an independent nation, Sri Lanka should charter a new futuristic path that meets the new norms, national aspirations and independence from marauding foreign powers. It is the need of the hour and we must seize this opportunity before this pandemic is over!

Our business companies in Colombo and elsewhere in the island could manage the port, gradually with part of the profits could improve it after all Rome wasn’t built in one day, unless one is after a big commission regardless. See the former president of SA who robbed millions are cheeky enough no to attend the courts, the way the third world is now going, not accountable. We in SL with a balu history and balu culture wants to hang on to it, thus exposing the country to abuse.
