Sri Lanka has a right to protect her citizens from terrorism and the world should side with the government to end this 30 year brutality. As a Tamil from Sri Lanka I’m ashamed at the ridiculous claims being made by some Tamil elements of our population. Actually in Sri Lanka only the LTTE has ever wanted a single state, no other mainstream Tamil political party has ever asked for one. Let us decent Tamils live in peace with our Sinhalese brothers and sisters like we have always done.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Tamil Diaspora is the globalised soldiers of the LTTE and the criminal elements who have funded its existence. They were promised lands and power in the new imaginary kingdom their new king was going to give them, now they will try even harder to turn good western nations against our beautiful country, a country we moderate Tamils are deeply proud of.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ I have lived in 2 western nations both with large Tamil expat populations, and have been ashamed at telling my non-Sri Lankan friends I was Tamil. Being 18 when the Black July riots took place and knowing the Truth about my country, I have wept for the lies and deceit spread by the LTTE proxies in these western nations. When they came to Europe in the first wave of refugees in 1984/5 and 6, I was studying in Switzerland, where the newly arrived LTTE cadres by force took over running the European heroin trade.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ They used to run the whole operation from a Centre for Refugees situated just outside the Swiss capital of Bern. At the time, Switzerland along with Australia fetched the highest street price for a gram of heroin, which was 500 Swiss francs. They ran a sophisticated smuggling operation in collaboration with the Albanian terrorist Kosovo Liberation Army (KLO), where the drugs were picked up at locations inside Switzerland near the Austrian/Lichtenstein borders, from Kosovo Albanian couriers. This flood of heroin into Switzerland made the country the European heroin capital of the late 80s and early 90s, also giving rise to the famous junkie park, the “Platzspitz” in Zurich.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ It was a big racket with entire Tamil families involved, which gave them the money to buy property and establish in the west, and open up those corner shops. They even had printed posters that called it “digging in the claws of the Tiger” at the time. These same people have then used that prosperity to nourish and feed the countless terrorist atrocities, the assassinations of hundreds of possibly our greatest Tamil sons and daughters including the likes of the Hon. Laxman Kadiragama and the respected Harvard Scholar Neelen Thiruchelvem – these extrimists have brought untold misery to both the Sinhalese and our own Tamil people.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ But, now has come a time when every decent Tamil on this planet will stand-up and acknowledge that we are sons and daughters of a proud nation, and we should stand upright and tell the world and these extrimists that enough is enough. Thirty years of this shameful deceit and living under the shadow of this eternal lie, has brought upon us only shame and dishonour as a race.
