The two Baby tuskers were denied their Mothers Milk and Warmth by presenting them to the Asgiriya and Malwatte temples yet on a Nikini Poya day in the vicinity of Temple of Tooth where BuddhaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s tooth relic believed to be deposited and highest respect of the Buddhist all over the world. Breast Feeding week is just over sans Two Baby Tuskers.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Having known that there were two fundamental cases filed against at the HC, the high holders of the govt. went ahead with donating two Baby Tuskers to the Temples on the Poya day 05th Aug, day prior to hearing the FR cases, was a perpetrated, well orchestrated and designed to pave the way to HC to refuse the cases against it.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ On Thursday the HC refused the two petitions owing to the reason that they were already property of Sangha, that HC cannot intervene. Former is a Mahadenamuttha type plot and latter is Kekille Judgement in simple terms, which need not be explained any more as readers are more intellectual, just and balanced than them.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Minister responsible is trumpeting that they will not be returned to the Mothers, instead the Mothers will be brought to temples, another Blunder and clear exhibition of Stupidity, Cruelty, Hegemony and abuse of Power, against rights of others. This big guy has no brain to the size of his own single hair at least. Obviously, the Baby Tuskers cannot be sent out of the Maligawa premises now, because one Baby Tusker has been Blinded due to Torture already, if they are sent to Pinnawala medical checkup will prove that they are tortured and what damages were done to them, hiding in side the Temple will hide the crimes.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Sangha community is mysteriously silent and only keep preaching Bana quoting Buddha all the time and nothing in practice of AHIMSA, COMPASSION, LOVING KINDNESS.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ We can now see that no fair justice will be served to the two poor, helpless Baby Tuskers and their Suffering Mothers. Such is an example of what we are going to expect for the future to come as well. ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The poor Baby tuskers cries of appealing Mothers Milk and their Mothers cries to keep babies in their Warm possession until natures cause takes place, is gone with the winds of Nikini Moon Poya, the Perahera sound, Cricket mania and Election rampage.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Perahera paraded while poor Baby tuskers were crying and suffering behind the Tooth relic. Their Mothers suffer and suffer at Pinnawala. The Sin is done and all those who are responsible have invoked it well. The retribution is already behind, the Political power and pride, The position, Their hegemony are nothing in front of this natures retribution, that takes time to take itƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s natural reaction. We have witnessed it in the past here in Sri Lanka as well as all over the world.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Those who committed, participated in this crime would better know that you are no Vessanthara who sacrificed own children for future Buddha hood, but mere mercenaries who abducted Children of some one else and caught up in this Crime and Karma.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Paanathipaatha, Adinnadaana, Musawaada all the three precepts are clearly broken here, as other two are well and already broken by those who are involved in this, thus doubt very much are they really Buddhists and instead pointing fingers at NGOƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s and Church of conspiracy.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ The Two Tuskers will be kept Harassed , Beaten and, Tortured with Heated Iron rod treatment as long as they live sans Mothers Milk and Warmth.
ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ Yet the power hungry, image crazy people and Tusk (Ivory) greedy does not have hearts at all.

I know animals are important, but before that we must ask us how many human children in the north may be denied mothers milk. How many innocent humans have killed or treated worse than animals. The elephants in Pinnawala may be having a better elephant life compared to the human life those IDP’s in the north are having. Pinnawala elephants get to have a bath twice a day, their babies get fed with milk and other things, they generally get things to eat. If they get sick they are taken care of. Now can we say the same for all the IDP’s in north. I think as Buddha has tough human life is more valuable than any other life. And in a country where humans are treated worse than animals in some cases, I can not expect them to care much about a baby elephant being denied of mothers milk. Compared to the suffering of those IDP’s in the north, these two baby elephants must be doing better.
Buddhist teachings including Metha, Muditha and Karuna has slipped away from our country long time back and that is why Sri Lanka social values have deteriorated so much. If Sri Lanka have a society and leaders who truely understand and live by those compassionate principles, we would not be withnessing most of these happening in Sri Lanka today. Labeling one self as a Buddhist does not make them followers of Buddhist teachings. This includes some of those people with robes who call them sanga who may not even understand the meaning of Metha and Karuna. To the outside world we can show the labels in our forheads calling its a nation of Buddhist. But what our nation is doing inside is something totally different.
My comment may pull the nerve of many, but this is the truth that must be told.

I am writing this long comment as I was moved by this article written by “Human” and the comment made by nuwans. The text carries something strange that I like to focus in my comment. Since my comments are meant for those like me who believe that they belong to the Sinhala community, I have to admit that I have disconnected myself from all religious and political values of alien origin. As a Sinhala national, I value only Sinhala values and where there is none, I carry the wild values inherited from the life my ancestors spent in the wild for a long time.
“Human” says METTA, KARUNA and MUDITHA gone to Wilderness, replaced with CRUELTY, DENIAL and HEGEMONY. Obviously these words sound nice, but in reality, can we extend our natural feelings reserved for our own kids towards all other living beings just because some religious fellow tells us to do so. On the other hand, can we expect wild animals including human animals to restrain their natural behaviour including feelings of animosity towards other animals or to use them as their private property? Having said that, here we are trying to judge an act committed by a bunch of powerful Buddhists beneficial to one of Buddhist holy places carrying part of the human remains under the patronage of the Buddhist religious representatives -monks (I note for the consumption of some specialists that humans have worshipped skeletal remains as part of their beliefs during ancient times.). This is the very reason for my comments. It seems this event clearly exposed the differences in Buddhist values and Sinhala values. I strongly believe that your judgement is based on Sinhala values and the Buddhists do not share this as shown by their conspicuous silence on this matter. Given the desire to offer everything that is within your reach to become a Buddha or to attain Nirvana, is there anything wrong for the behaviour of Buddhists? Just think of yourself being at the receiving end, you could have everything you need if you could ever convince others to offer everything you need. Would you reject any offers? Do you highly value such an arrangement? Now, how do you rate this religious philosophy?
Here we have a bunch of politicians donating two baby elephants apparently to keep a promise made to their deities (hopefully not to monks or according to Buddhist virtues). Does this sound like the traditions of animal sacrifices made when we were living as primitives and that our politicians are bloody primitive barbarians continuing this outdated tradition built on fear of god combined with cruel animal instincts? Why they do not go ahead with offering their own kids as a reward to their gods or monks?
When you say Kekille judgement, there is at least some action, obviously in the reverse order. What we heard was the utter failure of the English Judicial System originally designed to protect criminal invaders and to criminalize the native victims.
“Human” has rightly noted the complete silence of the Nirvana aspiring Sangha community on this issue. Does it mean that they are ready to accept anything offered by their devotees? Do you offer anything to such people?
“Human” correctly describe what our country is when he says “the so called Buddhist country…” I wonder whether there could be any country if we have true Buddhists because they do not encourage making children. In fact, some of the ancient communities totally disappeared after embracing Buddhism. I make this comment to say that our country is Sinhala country that has Sinhala values quite contrary to claims of some believers of alien religions or politics. This is why people stood up to this horror event because our values are what we make and we tolerate any other values as long as they do not cross our path, whether religious, political, ethnic or of any other kind. There were a few occasions in the past where Buddhism almost became non-existent in Sinhale’ when they crossed our values.
“Human” rightly point out that there will be retribution for this crime. If we had a dominant Sinhala system, instead of murderous English system, there would not have happened this kind of barbaric acts. I would even suggest sending these criminals to face justice from those mother elephants to learn a lesson on their motherly love for their babies. As a Sinhala national, I am really disgust to read Vessanthara story because such beings are not human. We make children and it is our responsibility to look after them. We never give away our children even if we are offered things far better than Nirvana, a kind of end to life as humans that we really adore. No true mother in the nature, even those who tend to eat their own by mistake, would ever offer their children to anyone else. Personally, I know how my mother dragged my elder brother home who was convinced (deceived) to become a Samanera by the chief incumbent of the village temple. Only devils and pimps would offer children, never true natural fathers offer their children. This is where the Sinhala values become the greatest; I mean the way we see at life.
No Sinhala national can be a true Buddhist though we all tend to lay claim to anything that tagged good or great without digging deep into it as we are made of our values that look after our lives irrespective of our superficial embraces.
Though “Human” doubts NGO and Christian conspiracies, they are much worse than Buddhists. At least, Buddhists use intellectual means to relate their philosophy. In comparison, these groups use food, money, relief, salvation, etc. to deceive people and to trap the poor and destitute in their beliefs. These people contribute to take human lives in a different way. Those believing other religions of alien origin are the sickest, cruellest and meanest that are fast diminishing in numbers. If not for continuous migrant influx to countries embracing this rebellious Jewish value based religion, they could have reached the point of no return by now due to their misguided beliefs destroying their humanness. Appealing to cannibalistic instincts by way of rituals and encouragement to eat anything under the guise of god’s creation have turned many believers into walking hospitals. Quite contrary to these heart-wrenching consequences, Sinhala value system that awakened you to this tragedy allows life, as it should be with a desire to live longer.
I do not understand the logic of putting IDPs in the north ahead of these baby elephants by “nuwans”. I doubt the claim that Buddha has tough human life is more valuable than any other life, considering the extent of self-hate for being human and anguish towards being human is so prominent in the religious teachings. In religious domain, who said what is a matter of conjecture because there are vultures out there preying on victims with capabilities even to make the perfect lie to sound like the perfect truth. We forget the fact that humans created their physical being to suit their needs just like other animals, which have their own versions. Those who hate humanness cannot be humans or value humanness.
It is hilarious to hear that humans are treated worse than animals, comparing the IDPS in the north. In fact this should be modified to say that some humans are worse than animals. Those becoming human bombs, killing pregnant women, ripping wombs and smashing heads of unborn children, killing poor and hapless humans while sleeping in their huts, cutting, maiming and slaughtering humans and using their pictures as own to grab sympathy from unsuspecting fools in the west, and using disabled as human bombs etc. are not humans, but devils possessing human shape who should be wiped out. So those so-called IDPs who did nothing to stop and/or encouraged such evil acts should rot in the hell for the eternity. In fact these IDPs are like living in the heaven compared to what they really deserve for their support to commit and/or failure to stop such inhumane acts by their own kind while enjoying the benefits of the host nation. As well, you should compare their life with their counterparts in their country of origin (Tamil Nadu). Instead of crying like crocodiles, we should recognise the reality. They chose to live in the barren northern part of our country because life was much better for them. Those of you who cry for the children of others, and ignore the flight of your own are a curse to your kind. In fact, we are all in the current mess because we have chosen pathetic two-legged donkeys called politicians who behaved in this manner to appease migrants (Migrants are the most dangerous type of pestilence) to seek their votes to gain power. What we fail to understand is that poor mother elephants and baby elephants are helpless victims who have done nothing wrong. The real issue is the presence of this kind of barbarians among us who could do such horrendous crimes in the name of compassionate, religious or other grounds. We cry because we are Sinhala people who value all life, not just our own and hate those who take others’ lives. Those who bring death and destruction have no place in our country. History has repeatedly proven this fact and soon it will be reaffirmed.
