First of all, only 20% voted in Jaffna and about 50% in Uva. Yes this election is good for propaganda for the government but in truth, these provincial councils elections does not change the direction of the country and they do not have any real power to make a huge impact.

And for the president, before he invite other parties and people to support him, he need to clean his own cloths first. He has a ultra corrupted worlds biggest cabinet which waist money of the country. These ministries has added so many extra layers and red tapes to services because duties overlap so much. He has many incompetent ministers who has failed miserably. He keep silence to extra judicial killings and lawlessness of the country. His relatives are everywhere in the government and seems like his family is controlling the whole country. There are many more.

Yes, his party may have registered a victory in this elections that has only a face value in reality. But asking everyone to join him while he makes not attempt to come clean, is a invitation to share and extend the corruption and waste within. Those who are greed for power and money have already done that. A democractic society needs a good construtive opposition to pinpoint deficiencies and make a voice when things are not done right. Otherwise, there will be huge extravagent party until the food run out completely. That is what is happening in Sri Lanka right now.
