He is dangerous, God save our country

His legacy are many that will be a stone round Sri LankaƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢s neck for many a year but the worst are the Predatory state ,the open economy and the pact with the devil the IMF and the World Bank and the International community to achieve it . The names have changed to globalisation but the aims are the same. That is gradual destruction of a socialised state , exploitation and embezzlement of the wealth of the country . The conduit is Debt , the recipient is the west. Debt and destruction of the environment and social destabilisation is the final result for Sri Lanka.

ƒÆ’-¡ƒ”š‚ ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢78 Constitution and the Predatory State

ƒÆ’‚¢ƒ¢-¡‚¬ƒ¢-¾‚¢78 constitution concentrated power in the Presidency well expressed by him when he said the only thing he could not do was to change a man to a woman. It is furthest away from Aristotles definition of a good constitution which states that a good constitution is one that benefits majority of the people. The arrogance and the dictatorial power it gives the Presidency not forgetting of course the empowerment it gives the ruling classes to highjack the wealth of the nation for there personal benefit is unbelievable. It is that arrogance that made one of our previous Presidents to say that every body had missed the gold mine of the country.

The gold mine was Galle Face Green the only open space in Colombo. It was broken up and sold. The next was when he said about the flour milling agreement with a Singaporean company We take the best part and sell them the rubbish (Honda Pitti aragena kudu ae gollanta denava) The rubbish or Kudu is the Bran the best part. This is the empowerment that presidency gives . Any lie has to be absorbed by the people because if you question you are violently suppressed.

No wonder only thugs and criminals can enter parliament and no one dares to question the embezzlement. Democracy! My foot. This is a process encouraged by the west, the IMF and the world Bank the natural beneficiaries of the embezzlement. The instruments for this exploitation is Privatisation, Foreign aid and development. The threats used against the state to maintain the status quo are terrorism, NGOs, Human Rights groups and Christianisation. To continue to talk about Dushanaya and beeshanaya is an unnecessary exercise. These are open secrets to any body reading the News papers . It is the blatancy with which this is going on that is disconcerting to any one interested in sri lanka.

Regaining Sri Lanka

In 2002 under Ranil Wickremesinhes premiership the great plan for economic development was made under the auspices of USAID,IMF and The World Bank called REGAINING SRI LANKA ( selling Sri Lanka) no different to the post Soukarno plan for Indonesia ( Ref Economic Hitman). . According to Naomi Chomsky the international writer in her book the The Shock Doctrine the rapid economic development was going to be achieved by mass displacement of people from villages, for the establishment of Beach Hotels, pleasure resorts and highways. This probably was the reason for the very liberal CFA with Prabahakaran with international guarantees. Remember the pilgrims of vultures to Kilinochchi, President of the European community, Cancelled visit By the Prime Minister Of Thailand Thaksin ( Now discredited for corruption) of course the Norwegians.

The recent attempts to lease large areas in Uva Welessa where our brave people fought the colonialist is one, the other is the leasing out of large areas in the Trincomalee district and the Islands off Mannar for tourism making one wonder whether the plan is still on. Is this the reason for the generous IMF loan . When asked for 1.2 billion they gave the country 1.6 billion. My mind boggles.
